TheFirst Rulefor survival outside of the safe areasIf you come across a beast, Troll, or Giantdo not run or call for helpbut stand still and stay silent. It might go away. This is based off of a Webcomic of the same name, Check it out
here guys if you are interested.
It's been 90 years after the rash illness ended the old world. Most of the surviving population of the Known world live in Iceland, the largest safe area in existence, while the safe settlements in the other Nordic countries; Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland, are small and scarce.
Countless mysterious and unspoken dangers lurk outside the safe areas, the Silent world, and hunters, mages and cleansers will spend their lives defending the settlements against the terrifying beings. Because of a great fear towards everything in the Silent world no official attempts to explore the ruins of the old have been made, and most of the information about it has turned into ancient lore, known by few.
But we are a group of Hunters, Mages, and Cleansers. Our job is to go and find a group of researchers who were sent outside of the safe area to explore the Silent world, Hailing from the different area of the known world we are to find out what happened to them and if possible bring them home.
NationalitiesThere are many different nationalities in the known world; The Icelanders, Norwegians, Danes, and Finns.
MagicOnly the Icelanders and the Finns have Mages, their types of magic are very different in many aspects.
CatsFish, Birds, Reptiles and Bugs all survived the fall of the old world while most mammals succumbed to an illness. Except Felines, it is unknown how they survived while other species where ravaged and twisted but they have become a invaluable ally to humankind when facing the horrors of the Silent world.
Beasts, Trolls, and GiantsThe monsters of the Silent world, the safe zones have massive walls built around them to keep these monsters out.

Rules- This is not an RP for those who think they can go about being a BAMF with a gun, The monsters in this world are VERY dangerous. They are bigger, and faster. If you have played the game STALKER imagine your first steps in out in the wasteland, the beasts and anomalies can kill you if you are not cautious.
When you choose your nationality for your character make sure you stick to the limitations of that nationality, You will not see a Swede being a Mage or a Finn Hunter running around with a high tech rifle.
- I would like to make this a mature RP, there will be some goofing off with interaction between characters, but your okay to curse or swear where appropriate. (Just be careful not the anger any spirits okay?)
- On the topic of this being mature, romance is A-okay, just if your characters get into doing the intercourse take that to PMs guys, this ain't Game of Thrones.
- If you are not able to stay with this RP make sure you tell me guys, I will have to take over control of your character or maybe open them up for a new player to come in. It may even come down to me having to let them go or kill them off, these are the consequences.
- I am going to be taking the leadership role of the RP, Since I am also the one controlling the events I will do my best to not meta game and if you have read the comic I request you do not meta game either.
Character CreationMain Class:
The Hunter: Armed with either a good rifle or a sturdy bow the hunter is a skilled marksman and expert of trap laying. They rely on their wits and senses when on the trail of their prey. They have a lot of survival skills and some have been known to last months out in the Silent Lands without anything but their weapon and the cloths on their back.
The Mage: There are two types of Mages, the Finnish Mage who are called
Noita, and the Icelandic Mage whom are called Seiokona (Female) or Seiokarl (Male), their types of magic are very different in how they work but the common thing between them their connection to the spirit world. Finnish magic is more direct and good for fighting spirits and monsters, Icelandic magic is passive but the mages can see visions of the future and carry items with runes set into them for battle.
The Cleansers: Those who bear the cleansing flame the Cleanser bears a powerful flamethrower and Explosive weapons to literally cleanse the land of monsters and evil. In numbers they can burn now entire forests to drive off trolls and beast and then maintain the land as the forest regrows and none mutated animals move back in. The value of a cleanser comes with their ability and skill in fighting trolls, this makes them a invaluable asset to any team.
Sub-Class:Scout: Good eyesight and stamina is a must for any scout because as the name imply the job of a scout is to move ahead of the main group and keep a watch for danger and report back their findings to the team. Hunters and Finnish Mages usually make the best scouts.
Mechanic: An important asset to the team when it comes to vehicle maintenance, they also are good at salvaging tech from the old world to keep the teams devices up and running while out in the field.
Healer: While outside of the safe zone a simple injury can be fatal and it is the job of a good healer to keep the teams health and morale up. Icelandic mages are best at this job.
Skald: Meaning 'poet' a Skald is generally a historian, their job is more important than just that however, they know more about the old world than anyone else from studying the old tales and reading old books. They are the ones that know how to navigate outside of the safe zones and read the maps of the old world.
When creating your character keep in mind that they would most likely have a military background, the mission they are being hired for is a search and rescue, they will not be conducting research as their job is to find the research crew that traveled out into Silent lands in the winter and did not return before spring.
