Azena said his internet is down. Should be back tomorrow morning.
Red watched Snow then Ellie and the new one, Eulalie, disappear past Paul. Finishing with the puddle by the door, Red moved to the poor maid left behind. She could only guess what was going through her head.

“Vous êtes Français, non?" Red asked, hoping to find a native French speaker. The Lady had a better accent then she did, but she had only been a peasant after all.

«Yes,» The girl replied in the same language. «I am Georgine, attendant to Lady Bellerose.»

«I am called Red. Come, I will show you where you are staying.» Noticing her companions hesitation Red hastened to reassure her. «None here will harm you. Madame Jane does not allow her maids to be interfered with.» Red ushered her into the maid rooms and got some warm water for her to wash up in. With a brief explanation to the other maids, she rushed back out. The sooner she finished cleaning, the sooner she could go through the door. The sooner through the door... Another smile flittered over her face. Fortunately the luggage was already gone by the time she came back out. Cleaning the last of the water and mud, she set Paul’s lamp back upon the table. Everyone in the place ignored her, barring Paul. Maids weren’t worth their time. Finishing her duties she straightened her dress and stood before Paul expectantly. He looked her up and down for a moment, then nodded and stepped aside. Back straight, Red stepped forward and opened the door.
Wonder, do you mind if I control your maid a bit to get her settled? I'll alter it if you think it doesn't match her.
Thanks. I had started to read the rules and guidelines, but kept getting interrupted.
As Azena said, I'm new to this form of RP, though I've done tabletop for over a decade. If anyone has any advice/suggestions I am willing and even a little eager to listen.
And as my first question, playing a French character speaking English, she has an accent and uses French words on a regular basis. Should I write her speech that way ("Zere is nozing I could do 'untsman.") Or write it normally and assume she is speaking with the accent?
Red cleaned her hands in the bowl. The room she had just cleaned wasn’t the worst she had encountered here, but it certainly wasn’t pleasant. Fortunately plenty of soap and water was always available. Just as she finished drying her hands, she heard her name being called from the main room.

"Red! Get out here and clean up this mess!" Ah, Mme Snow had returned. Hurrying out she took note of Mmes Snow and Ellie, as well as the new girl. Well dressed, and not at all pleased with her locale. Outwardly she ignored the three, gathering rags and a mop to clean the water tracked in. With half an ear she listened to the two argue over her. It was an old conversation, spoken many times with different words. She continued cleaning till she was addressed directly.

“Oh, and Red when you finish out here, Merlin asked you to come back with me."

"Oui, Madam." Red did not look up from her work but seemed to increase her pace, eager to move on. A smile appeared on her downturned face. At last, she would be allowed to contribute in a meaningful way. Absently she rubbed her neck against the silver collar hidden under the ruffles of her maid's outfit.

Fleur is unknowingly descended from the original little red riding hood. She was a French peasant living with her family on the estate of a wealthy sommelier near Nancy, France. At fifteen she went for a walk through the woods with a boy, who turned out to be a werewolf. Fleeing home after she was bit, she was too distraught to properly explain what had happened. Her parents thought she had been attacked by a wild animal. That night Fleur turned into a beast and slaughtered her parents, who came to investigate her screams. Fortunately two members of the Guild were tracking the other werewolf, and were able to subdue her before the rest of the estate was endangered. After putting down the rogue they brought Fleur back with them to the Guild Hall. Merlin was waiting with a specially crafted silver collar. It prevented her changing, but left her weak and listless.
Fleur, now called Red, has dedicated herself to helping in the guild. Anything she can do to help the Guild and its members she will. In return they offer her tips and training so that she may one day join their ranks. Her training has concentrated on a few key areas to speed the process. Her main melee weapon is a bill-hook, a common gardening tool, and one she used back in the vineyards. She was also trained in how to wield a stake properly and fire a pistol, as well as how to manufacture her own silver bullets.
Besides combat, Fleur is also trained in gardening and as a maid. She also has a decent knowledge of wines. She speaks several languages including French, English, German, Spanish, and Latin. Though she is fully fluent in French, she is not as well versed in the others. Despite her linguistic abilities, she is profoundly illiterate, and has only a basic knowledge of numbers.
