Because Ajax's muscles are buff on a conceptual level. How can you rescue someone from a pulped head?

the moment someone touches a crucible piece, they are healed, completely. Deadpool will be able to pretty much give them a one-up, making the multiverse bring them back to life.

Deadpool rolls his eyes, and tries to enter the coordinates to Hyrule Castle so he can bug the king. He presses in what he thinks is right, and presses the button. He ends up right next to cirno. "Oh, it's the child. Hi there!" He smiles real big, but it was obviously a sarcastic no clue why a kid is in this god forsaken place kind of grin. He pushes a few buttons on his teleporter and ends up right outside of the town outside of hyrule castle. "Ah, here we go! Boredom no more! He double jumps and then teleports across the moat, then runs into the now ruined town square. He shoots the redead in the noggins, and keeps going until he reaches the castle. He steps into the fortress, and looks at the place. Empty, dead. "Oh yeah, this place was raided by the moblin king. You know, i hope that ajax guy realizes he's fighting a technical god right now. Once gannondorf dies he's screwed."

So, long post, I stepped out for a walk after posting IC, have to take advantage of any day where the weather isn't balls. Now. Let me start by defining Ajax's mentality here. Imagine, if you will, that your entire life has been about the fight. You were raised as a boxer by your father, were sold to an underground bloodsport arena after your father died where you had to fight unarmed against man and beast alike, escaped to another continent and survived a series of semi-standard fantasy adventures up until a high level, entirely as a fighter. And you enjoy this, you wish your life had not turned sour but you enjoy the thrill of the fight, of pitting the strength of your own body against any adversary, any obstacle, and coming out on top. It's the ultimate feeling of power, of superiority. After a while, things that used to give you a run for your money start being less of a challenge. Things that you would've considered impossible become commonplace. You're left with no adversary, no test, no thrill. You avenge yourself on those who killed your father and sold you off to slavery but it still doesn't feel right, there was no adversity, you're happy that you got it done but wish they'd put up more of a fight. You start being worshipped as a god because of your strength, and your opponents dwindle to nothingness. It's like a junkie who can't get his fix anymore. Eventually you live to grow older, cross dimensions, and still no fight worth having. And then you run into someone whose entire thing is power. He is blessed by the greatest manifestation of strength in his world. He has conquered the land, all of it, bent it to his whims with nothing but power. It's not the same kind of power you have, it's something more obviously magical, but it is still very much in line with what you have seen and done. You have, at last, found a challenge. And you don't want this fight to be tarnished, not by anything in the world, so you wait. If he were to be bested, then perhaps he was not the fight you sought. You wait until you get your chance. You hold up a belt that symbolizes your every achievement in combat as a challenge. And then someone steps in and starts ruining everything, and then you get a buffoon who teleports in and putzes around in the middle of your moment of glory, of the time you FINALLY get to have a worthwhile fight after ages of nothing. It's like some dipshit trying to do standup about airplane food and interrupting a desperate alcoholic from getting to his favorite bottle, while someone else uncorks it and takes a swig. Yeah, Ajax is hella mad. Deadpool and Alpha are ruining a moment he's been waiting all too long for and Deadpool was actually right there, touching him and talking to him. So he took it out on him first.

So, how's that for characterization? Now, on to the other matters. I was under the impression that instahits, ignoring them and doing your own thing was how we operated here. I mean it's basically how the fights with the bosses have gone. The bosses which the GM/owner stressed were to be "challenging" and which you yourself have entirely controlled the actions of at least one Volvagia spawn while Deadpool kills it dead. As for the punch, you realize how fast a right straight is? And one that broke the sound barrier and damaged the entire surrounding area from the shockwave? But whatever, it's well within Deadpool's abilities to teleport out of the way because teleporting. Or I suppose he could've regenerated from a pair of legs because apparently he can do that here, but you went with teleportation rather than take the chance to be funny. Hell, from an IC perspective, Ajax would've been impressed with someone who could regenerate from that. Still a shitter but at least a durable one. Anyway, the shockwave damaged the entire area, pushed the magma around, cracked the platform, the sheer rock walls of the pit and the still-sinking castle, as well as caused an actual, honest to goodness sonic boom that should've probably burst Pool's eardrums, which he could then regenerate from but still. Because when your main power is being physically overpowering for a setting where "otherwise broken characters are commonplace", that means you do absurd shit when you cut loose. Did I miss any points?

Well, see, i don't take every chance to be funny with deadpool. He cracks his jokes and does funny things, but as i believe bee said, he's not a pincushion of slapstick events. I, as a person, wasn't too upset with the whole situation. I was ticked off a little at the instahit, but since you didn't actually toss his remaining legs into the lava in your post, i really did not mind too much. I just took a less time-consuming route (if he had taken the hit it would have been a good hour before he was back up). Trust me, ajax will have many more reasons to punch deadpool into numerous body parts because of him being stupid. Lots of people will. Lots of people have done it. Buuuut don't be surprised if he bites your ear or something. He'll likely make a hilarious reference to pop culture in the process of getting you back.

The Outsiders (DC comics based OC Superhero RP)

Joshua gets up from his chair, and smiles a big grin "Alright! Party time!" He grabs his mask, which completes his current chosen outfit once he puts it on. The costume was black and had blue lines going through it that led to his head, which had a large O where his face was. The eye areas were snuck away into the O it self. There was a bright orange shield on the chest of the suit as well, representing his current hero name: Stalwart Defender. He grabs a can of an energy drink from the fridge, which was mostly hidden in his huge hands. He rips the top off and pretty much chugs the whole thing before throwing it into a trash cane. He wipes his chin and lips with his now gloved hand, and then proceeds into the cruiser. He sits down in the system's defense and weapons control, pressing a few buttons. He wasn't really supposed to be there, but he didn't mind being seen as a brute most of the time. It was to be expected that people would treat him that like, saying how huge he was. But the buttons he pushed primed the shield, and did a system check on the weapons to make sure they were properly calibrated for optimum accuracy. He leans back and smiles, and says "Stalwart Defender, reporting for duty and ready for a good fight, sir!"

no, ajax threw a mighty big sound-barrier punch while screaming like a banshee at deadpool, deadpool teleported out the way, then left.
