Nation Sheet:
Nation: Church of the Nine
Location: Skyrim (Semi-theocratic religious organization with military power, does not directly oppose Stormcloaks, but holds religious sway over the populace)
Total Military Numbers (Keep it Reasonable!): 3000 Knights of the Nine- Elite, military arm of the church, protect and serve the people of the church. Retain the relics and livery of the order of the same name, being their historical descendants. Spread over several convents/barracks throughout the country, each one harboring about 300 of the order. Serve as heavy cavalry or elite food soldiers, their heavier armor giving them much greater resistance to enemy weapons then the rest of the army.
7000 Soldiers of the Eight and One- A subsumed religious order, this group is the support positions (blacksmith, cooks, etc), light cavalry, and foot soldiers of the Knights. They are generally concentrated in urban areas and work as peacekeepers or professionals when not on call. Widely distributed over Skyrim, though generally concentrated around Knights of the Nine convents.
~2000 Clergymen and Clerics- The priests and other ecclesiastic branched of the church, they are skilled healers and are generally urged to train with a mace to some degree of proficiency. They are not officially bound to answer military summons, but many serve as healers and medics for the army. There are up to 5000 more in Skyrim, but they are not as active, but could likely be swayed into service if necessary.
(Variable) The Pious- As a religious group, it is possible, in theory, to draw upon the reserves of the pious and brave to fight (and likely become martyrs) in the name of their god. They are generally untrained, unarmed, and lack valor, but they are something to consider, especially if fighting for their way of life or gods (aka versus the Thalmor).
