She looked down the hall and then back at him. She nodded quickly, embarrassed a bit. She didnt want help, she didnt want to need it. Acting strong was easier. But it seemed she wouldnt have to be strong by herself anymore.
Morning came sooner than anticipated. Mac packed a drawstring bag with food, a first aid kit and a few bills. The kit wasnt for Logan. He knew well Logan could handle himself fine. But trouble had a way of following him and he just hoped the kid could keep up.
Mia walked into the kitchen shortly after he finished double checking the bag. "Morning!" She said with a big smile. Mac was Relieved to see that, after her rather sad expression when he bid her goodnight.
"Ready to go?"
"Yes sir!"
