Hope you don't mind another person. I've kinda missed using this character, and just got back into this kind of roleplay.
Name:
Rayne Sierra McCutcheon
Appearance:
Age:
Sixteen
Grade:
11 (Junior)
Social Class:
The Elite
Social Class Explanation:
Her father is the CEO of a rather successful record label. He founded it when he was twenty, and through it, he met Rayne's absolutely insufferable stepmother. Rayne spent the few years after she lost her mother with her nose buried in books. She's a bit scatterbrained, but she has absurdly high test scores for someone who does nothing but blow off class all the time. Actually, she scores better than the majority of her peers blowing off class all the time.
Personality:
Rayne wants to be a music producer. Or, maybe, she wants to be a model. Well, sometimes, she thinks she wants to front a band. No, she totally wants to be an actress. Anyway, she's relatively indecisive, especially when it comes to what she wants to do with her life, and, truth is, she doesn't really know what she wants. She can never find that one thing that she thinks she's perfect at, though she seems to be one of those people who's pretty much good at everything. Well, everything except for dealing with people. She's always had a rebellious streak. Well, by always, I moreso mean since she turned thirteen and gained the capability to think for herself. She is insanely intelligent, and allows that to be a reason to keep her nose in the air. She skips classes because, to pass, she doesn't have to sit through them. She'd rather just read the textbook and teach the material to her damn self. She thinks of herself as above the majority of the other wealthy students because she doesn't so much think that wealth or social class matter as much as someone's ability to hold their own in a fight (words or...otherwise). She has quite the temper, and has been known to go off on other students, teachers, and even the administration of Caelbury Academy. Rayne, to be frank, does not care what people think and believes wholeheartedly in freedom of speech - whenever and wherever, and she has absolutely no filter when she speaks because of this.
However, despite her absolutely horrendous propensity for being abrasive and confrontational to almost everyone she meets, she stands by her friends and the people she cares about, and she is absolutely, incredibly goofy when she's around people who make her feel comfortable.
"I kind of have this problem. You see, I open my mouth, and bitch comes out."
History:
Rayne was born in LA. She has never really had much of a relationship with her father, Issac. He's always been busy with work. He and her mother, Evangelina were high school sweethearts. Got married when they were in college, and when her mother got pregnant, she took the role of stay-at-home mom. Rayne and her mother were best friends. There was not a soul on Earth that she loved more. Eva taught her how to play violin and piano. Told her about all the good books to read. Shaped her into a good, well-mannered young girl. So, when Eva died after a long fight with lung cancer, Rayne didn't quite know what to do with herself. She felt lost and alone, which makes sense if you consider the fact that her father wasn't ever really around. He was always out cavorting with rock stars. So, two years later, when she was fourteen, Isaac married the Miranda...Well. Let's just say things got worse. Rayne and Isaac no longer had a lack of a relationship - it was a tumultuous one. She felt abandoned by her father, who somehow had time to fall in love with someone who was decidedly not her mother, but no time to spend with his daughter. So Rayne has been in some sort of trouble with him constantly since he married her stepmother. She has dyed her hair tens of different colors, pierced her septum, navel and tongue, and got her first tattoo when she was fifteen, behind his back, on a summer trip with some friends. She sneaked out of the house to see boys and go to concerts. She drank and partied at an absurdly young age. She was definitely lost in her own anger and heartache. She has been out of control, but most would say that's from lack of stability, or a decent person to look up to in her life. Rayne was convinced from the start that Miranda married her father for his money, and has been further convinced of this by her lack of seeming to care about anything but the twins, whom she had before the marriage, and the latest fashion trends. So, she's a bit jaded.
Extracurricular Activities:
She does something different every year. Who knows what she'll pick this time around.
Miscellaneous:
-She's been at Caelbury since her freshman year, and has kept her spot near the top of her class since then through mostly self-study.
-She smokes an obscene amount of cigarettes - whenever she can get away with it.
-She's dated a few guys, but never really had a serious boyfriend.
-She picks at her fingernails when she's nervous, and her "tell" when she lies is biting the inside of her cheek, but it seems no one has ever noticed that.
-Rayne rides a metallic purple 2014 Harley Davidson Iron 883. Her name is Shelby:
Acacia Hawthorne:
"Acacia needs to lighten up a little bit. I love her to death, but...Shit, she takes everything she does so seriously. She needs to realize that no human being is perfect, and you can't be the best at every-fuckin'-thing you do. She just needs to enjoy life more, I think. We've been friends for forever, and I can just tell...She doesn't really understand how amazing of a person she is. But, hell, even if she doesn't realize it, she's my best friend - the only real friend I've ever really had, anyway. She's kind of my filter when I need one. Haha. She's so much more...sociable...than I am. If she ever needs anything, I've got her back."
Lili Lafontaine:
"Lili? Oh, you mean that chick who's always hanging around the Gifted kids? Yeah, I know who she is. We cut a few times together freshman year. She's crazy good with artistic stuff. Don't really talk to her much, though."
Jacob Rockwell:
"Yeah, I know who Jake is. Goody-two shoes. It's like the kid thinks he's better than all of us because he's never broken a damn rule."
Roman Zelenka:
"That guy got in here from the lottery? Part of me finds that pretty damn hard to believe. He speaks five different languages. Like, what the hell? Either he intentionally tries to do badly in class, or the school is blind to the fact that he should have been here before the lottery. Shit."
Vladimir Kalkovich:
"He's that Russian kid here on a scholarship, right? I don't know him too well. We've never really talked. I know he's into music and smart as hell, but, other than that, I can't really say much."
Rayne McCutcheon:
"Clearly, she's the baddest, sexiest bitch in this hellhole. Dude, I heard she killed a man."
James McNamara:
"British guy? Hot as hell? Yeah, I know him. He's good as hell at guitar, and we actually get along pretty well, which is surprising since, like...Other than Acacia, most people tend to be put off by me. Ha. Guess that's what happens when you don't give a shit what people think. Anyway, I like him well enough. I just hope he doesn't turn around and do what everyone else who's into music does and try to get me to introduce him to Dad. No thank you.
Nathan "Nate" Dixon:
"Who? Oh, the kid who's always tinkering with his robots. Yeah, that sentence about sums up what I know about him."
Julie Scott:
"That girl's a sweetheart. She seems to get along with the guys better than anyone else, but I can understand that. Girls are bitches. I definitely respect the fact that she's a nice person, but won't let people walk all over her. Saw her give Max Wallenberg the what-for once when he tried to sleeze all over her. Hahaha."
Cole Grimoire:
"That guy is rude as hell to girls. Seems to think he turns things to gold when he touches them. Like, who the fuck does he think he is? Whatever. Not my type. Not my thing. He got in on the lottery, and I don't know him to well. Not sure if I want to, either."
August Marco:
"August is alright. Nice enough kid, but we don't really talk much. He keeps school fun sometimes, though. He dyed the water in the pool red, once. That was great. If only he didn't get caught all the time..."
Max Wallenberg:
"Max Wallenberg: he's Swedish, he's rich, and he's decently attractive - if you're into pretty blonde boys. Other than the obvious, which I just stated, all I really know about him is he's kind of a player. From the girls he's had 'contact' with, I've heard he's way to damn obsessed with sex, which is kinda fucked up. But, who knows? I don't really know him too well, and maybe he just needs to find a girl who won't put up with the sex nonsense."
Wren Sinclair:
"I've known Wren since we were kids. Our parents are friends. Like. Real good friends. She used to call Mom and Dad 'Aunt' and 'Uncle'. That's how close our families were. She's a really good person. With all the success she's had, she is certainly still the sweet kid I grew up with. I miss talking to her. I just...we lost touch, is all. I lost touch with all my old friends a while ago, and it's not like Wren and I really have all that much in common anymore, and...I don't want to talk about this anymore. Next."
Brenden Aldrin:
"He's the principal. He's kinda young to be one, but whatever. He's pretty relaxed, which is awesome. Most principals would have my ass for not showing up to class or my attitude, but he's generally cool with me most of the time.
Hayden Hawthorne:
"My best friend's big brother. He's insanely protective. He taught my Physics class when I was a freshman. It was pretty awesome, since he never took off points for me never showing up. He seemed alright with me not going, as long as I passed and put in the work, which I always do. I just hate classrooms. I can't learn shoved behind a desk. I'd rather teach myself in the ways I know I'll get all the material. I think he understood that. Unlike everyone else, who just thinks I don't care. Anyways, he's a cool dude, and I'm glad Acacia has someone like him to look out for her, 'cause I'm pretty sure he'd help me bury the body of anyone who ever fucked with her."
Flynn Zimmerman:
"He's a good teacher. Crazy smart. Intro to Philosophy was literally the only class I've had since I've been here that I never skipped a day of. He kept me interested. I actually learned shit from him.
And, come on...let's be honest. He brings his cat with him, and Oedipus is awesome. Wish I could keep a cat in my dorm..."
Alli Kendrick:
"Her classes are all cake walks. History is easy. She doesn't even really seem like an actual teacher. It seems more like she wants to be our friends, and I guess most people like that about her, but if you're gonna teach, be a damn teacher. You're not in high school anymore. You're an adult. You can't be an authority figure AND a friend. Dad taught me that too damn well."
...The fact that I used Audrey Kitching for her appearance reminds me of when I was a scene kid in middle school. Oh dear.
Also, in real life, that bike belongs to my boyfriend. And her name really is Shelby because she likes to stall for no apparent reason whatsoever.
Mine is black, but the purple seemed more like Rayne.
