Bio

I am a 29 year old male. It has been a while since I posted to this site, but I want to get back into it. I enjoy RPing fantasy mostly, with some interest in Sci Fi and certain fandoms. I am more likely to maintain an RP if my partner is skilled in RPing and posts at least once every few days. I have an active imagination and tend to post casual to advanced. I am looking forward to RPing with many different people, and I thank you for taking the time to read my bio. :)

Nice to see some interest. ^_^ If I get a couple more, then I'll do the OOC thread and we can start building characters.
Just so people aren't confused, Rank is your job in the bandit group, though sometimes it might be an actual rank, like second in command, or something like that. As I said, I'll explain each person's rank individually to them after they build their character, unless they have a reasonable arguement for what they think it should be. I am open to suggestions on Rank. ^_^

InterestedMasterful blacksmith, or something like that.A burly character, not on the quick and swift side. Blacksmithing background should support his massive build. Thus he will be more in the lines of the party's tank

When you look at the OOC, you'll see that my character, the bandit leader, is a tank type character. That doesn't mean I will reject your blacksmith. In fact, I may amend my character so that your character could be the one skilled in blades, and I definitely was thinking of suggesting someone be a blacksmith, since that's not what my character is and a bandit group could definitely benefit from having a weaponsmith. (technically, it would be a weaponsmith if you were making weapons, as blacksmiths normally just make iron tools and horseshoes and stuff like that.)
I am glad to see that I am getting so much interest. ^_^ I have posted an OOC thread. Here's the link. I hope to see you all in there. ^_^

OOC
Name: Kurokuma "The Black Bear", given name unknown
Gender: Male
Age: 35
Species(if not human, keep it minimal please): Human
Appearance:
Personality: Kurokuma is known to be cunning and cautious when planning a raid or any battle, but he transforms on the battlefield into a ferocious, rage filled warrior. When at rest, he does not speak much and tend to be solitary in nature, though he does not mind company. His strong and silent nature belies an intelligence and wisdom beyond his years. He is not known to be particularly merciful and does not tolerate dissension in his camp. He will deal with most feuds personally, though oftentimes his presence is enough to calm any dispute. However, he is also known to have a code that he does not kill those who are innocent of a crime, even if they stand in his way, nor will he tolerate the slaughter of innocents by any of his gang. Force is allowed to be used against those who resist him, but not deadly force unless it is unavoidable. Between his own men and innocents who attack them, however, he will always choose his own men.
Skills/Talents: He is incredibly powerful and surprisingly agile for a man of his bulk. He is an expert swordsman, favoring his own custom long blade, though he is able to use a claymore, greatsword and standard two handed sword equally effectively. He is also skilled in the use of most crushing weapons, such as hammers and maces. He is a skilled tactician and strategist and a fair orator, when he has a mind to be. He is also a master at intimidation and using his presence to achieve the desired effect. His strength and size are so immense that he can crush a man's skull with one hand. Furthermore, he has built up an immunity to most forms of poisons and venoms.
Weapons/Equipment: His custom long blade, made for him to carve through cavalry, horse and rider alike in a single sweep. He also carries dual war hammers that he uses in close quarters.
Occupation: Bandit, former mercenary
Rank(If in bandit clan, assigned by me): Bandit Leader
Bio(Optional): Little is known of Kurokuma's past, save that he was once a mercenary. His many scars are said to be from the hundred and twelve battles that he fought while he was a mercenary. It is said that he has actual bear blood in his lineage, though this is unconfirmed. No one has ever beaten him in single combat, and he is known for his great size and strength. His legend says that he drinks venom and poison to keep himself immune and that he can withstand the harshest cold and the most unrelenting heat without worry. Once again, these are unconfirmed. He is greatly respected and feared among the peasant villages of Maeryn. His name, Kurokuma, means "Black Bear", and he earned it because of his great size and strength and his tendency to wear a black tattered cloak when not fighting.
Other: Kurokuma stands 7 and half feet tall and weighs 585 pounds.
The country of Maeryn is suffering under the rule of an Emperor and his twelve noble houses. Fear and brutality are the tools used to keep order and heavy taxes are levied against the people. The Emperor's elite fighting soldiers, the Bornia, are all that keeps the people from revolting. The Bornia are vicious and skilled, they act as the enforcers for the noble houses that rule each province, wiping out any opposition to the Emperor or his nobles. The country is in dire need of change, else the iron scepter of the Emperor become all that there is in Maeryn. However, in the forest outside of a small fishing village, far to the north there is a bandit group. The leader of this group is said to be a powerful warrior, ruthless and cunning, yet strangely moral even in his raids. The village is about to extend him an offer that will spark in him and his bandit group the desire for power, and ignite a rebellion that will sweep across the whole land of Maeryn. No matter what happens, the land will never be the same.

Okay, so there are some basic rules I want to point out.
1. NO god modding. It should be obvious, but I'm going to say it anyway. You will be cut out if you god mod.
2. Post at least a paragraph per reply. A paragraph is at least three sentences, though I prefer five.
3. There will be a little bit of a fantasy element to this RP, but don't get carried away. I want to keep it mostly medieval/action.
4. All characters must be accepted by me. Once again, it should be obvious, but just in case.
5. If you are going to drop out, please let us know beforehand if at all possible. I'd hate for the RP to lose momentum because of it.
6. Have fun! Be courteous to your fellow Roleplayers and keep it civil. Any disputes should be taken to PM.

Okay, here is the character skeleton I'd like everyone to use.

Name:
Gender:
Age:
Species(if not human, keep it minimal please):
Appearance:
Personality:
Skills/Talents:
Weapons/Equipment:
Occupation:
Rank(If in bandit clan, assigned by me):
Bio(Optional):
Other(Optional, if needed):
Name: Leander
Nickname: Zephyr the Wondrous
Age (appearance/actual): 20/499
Gender:Male
Species: Air Elemental
Weakness: Extreme phobia of tight spaces, vulnerable to injury in human form, prolonged transformation time.
Powers: Extreme Speed, flight, control of air and wind, invulnerable while in natural form, can change to human form and back at will.
Peforming role/Primary Postion: Lead Acrobat
Secondary position: Singer
History before circus: Leander was born from the chilling winds of the arctic as they met the warm winds of the pacific. He traveled the world for many years, taking in the beauty and life that he saw flourishing on land, and finally he grew so curious about these two legged beings that seemed to be the strangest creatures on the planet, that he taught himself to take human form and integrated himself into their culture during the Renaissance period. He met and befriended the famous poet, William Shakespeare, one of the only humans that he ever told about his real identity. Shakespeare used him as a partial inspiration for the play, "A Midsummer Night's Dream". He was completely unaware of the war between the humans and the supernatural creatures until he found himself facing hunters who had heard of his friendship with Shakespeare. While Leander was able to give them the slip, the hunters poisoned Shakespeare with a slow and secret poison that would take a month to kill him. After Shakespeare's death, Leander was overcome with grief and carved the famous epitaph on his tomb before leaving England forever. He then took an active role in the war against the hunters, using his abilities to steal their life breath. However, by that point it was too late and the war was lost soon thereafter. Leander went into hiding, both from the grief of his experiences of death and shame that he had let himself kill so many. He resurfaced in 1888, joining the newly formed Circus and vowing to never again use his abilities to take human life.
History in circus (Unless just joining): Leander was one of the first recruits to the Circus, using his skills in manipulating air currents to cast himself in the role of a wonderfully talented high flying acrobat. He is known for his "death defying" leaps, tricks and tumbles through the air, his skills at the trapeze and high wire, and his staunch refusal to use a safety net. He has also taken a particular shine to Eleana, since she arrived only a few years after himself. He often finds himself in awe of her grace and beauty, though he thinks of her as a good friend and confidant. He enjoys singing for her, since he knows she is a fan of music, and it led him to also become the troupe's primary vocalist.
Personality: He can be a bit mischievous, often playing tricks on other members of the troupe, but they are always in good fun. He is kind and caring, rather likely to help others if he believes he can. He does not let anything bother him(except tight spaces) and has a generally sunny outlook. He has never been seen to be sad or angry, at least not yet. He finds himself at peace with the world, content to live the life he has made for himself without worrying about tomorrow. He does know when to be serious, though even then he tends to be overly optimistic, and even naive. He is not, however, inexperienced in the horrors of humans, and while he is always polite and courteous to the audience, he generally disassociates with humans, preferring the company of other supernatural creatures and beings.
Likes/Dislikes: Leander loves the simple pleasures in life. He likes to entertain others, as well as to be entertained himself. He has a great appreciation for beauty of all kinds and he finds himself feeling sorry for anyone or anything that is not beautiful, which can sometimes earn him the ire of others. He also highly values freedom and independence, refusing to let himself be "stifled" in any way. He is deathly afraid of small spaces, and will refuse to enter them under any circumstances less than a life or death situation. This is because his powers are virtually useless in tight spaces and he feels choked, often even beginning to breathe hard and finally passing out if he spends too much time in small spaces.
Appearance:
Other: Leander stopped aging physically after he turned 20. He has no idea why, but he rather likes how he looks. He believes himself to be immortal, as long as he is not killed in his human form. He has a distinct lack of body/facial hair, excepting his head hair and eyebrows. Oh, and........ I Love Ice. It's yummy in lemonade. ^_^ Lol
No, that sounds perfect for her. ^_^ I'm liking where she is going.
