Flinching slightly as Books draped her hair over the tiny thing, the small creature brushed the stuff off of itself and quietly scurried down the roleplayer’s body and into her pants pocket, which it seemed to deem safer.

“You’re right.” the leader nodded towards Rae. “Dangerous beasts roam these forests. We wouldn’t want anyone to stay out here without protection.” she continued. “And while spirits like yourselves probably normally don’t fear the beasts, we realize your guide is currently less-than-capable of defending himself…” she trailed off, eyes landing on the unconscious lizard-boy. “We apologize again.” she told Rae. Then, as she struggled to watch Books lift him up, she calmly put up her hand, gesturing for her to stop. “Allow us.” she told books. “Girls,” the leader spoke up, and the other two huntresses stepped forward and gently took Muse from Books, one taking hold of his shoulders while the other grabbed his feet. The two of them seemed to have a much easier time lifting him than the small girl, which was probably to be expected as they were designed to survive in what seemed to be a rather savage environment.

Now having a strong handle on Muse, the leader of the tribal women led the group into the tunnel, making sure to go back and close up the entrance behind her once everyone was inside. Once underground, the group wouldn’t take long to adjust to the relative darkness, as the tunnel was lit fairly well by large, light-blue mushrooms, each about three feet tall and each glowing brightly enough to illuminate the cave like a well moon-lit night. The tunnel, consisting of only dirt walls and floors, led further underground, mushrooms lighting the whole way. The leader gestured for the group to follow.

After a short distance, the group stopped descending as the floor below them leveled out. The tunnel then seemed to lead out into a much larger chamber, but the path was blocked by two male guards. They seemed to cover up a bit more than the females — each of them wearing enough animal skins to cover up their torsos and everything from their waists to their knees — though that was probably at least partially due to the cooler temperature underground. Each of them held a crude spear, and simple body paint — only two red, vertical stripes on their faces, going down over their eyes, and similar bands of red around their wrists and ankles. Their faces lit up with shock and fear as they saw the roleplayers and Muse, and the two men quickly drew their spears in preparation to attack.

“Calm down.” the leader of the huntresses commanded. “These are friendly spirits who came here seeking shelter.” she explained. The two men did not speak in response, but they seemed unsure about the explanation. The leader sighed. “Allow them to explain themselves.” She then stepped aside and gestured for Rae and Books to step forward and speak to the guards.
Vash raised an eyebrow at Archer — the man’s second response not only still not answering his question, but also landing even farther from said question than the first, leaving the gunman rather confused as to what Archer could’ve meant by it.

He didn’t even have time to ask about it, though, before Sorin butted in. Vash grit his teeth slightly as he listened to the vampire’s words, as hearing such lack of empathy for the dead never did sit well with him. Recognizing that he at least made a strong argument, though, Vash paused for a moment to think of a response.

“I disagree.” he replied simply, but sternly. “Just because killing is the easy option, that doesn’t make it acceptable.” he argued. “There’s always a way to resolve conflicts without resorting to killing. The hard part, sometimes, is finding it.” he continued, though his voice had started to sound less certain and stern and a bit more thoughtful, as if Sorin’s words were really making him dig deep for the answers. “But, we have to at least try to find a way. Because, no one has the right to take the life of another.”

Vash then glanced towards Archer, and sighed quietly as he watched him continue trekking across the trail. “For example,” he spoke up, starting to follow after Archer while still directing his words towards Sorin. “Our objective is to ‘defeat the legendary dragon’. We have no need to kill it. Not for survival — as it won’t try to harm us unless we attack it — and not to complete the challenge, as we were only told to ‘defeat’ the dragon, and we weren’t specifically told to ‘kill’ it.” he explained, eyes locked on Archer as he spoke, as if now directing his argument to both of them. “Killing it might be the easy way to complete the challenge, but it isn’t the only way. We just need to figure out a non-lethal way of subduing it.” he continued. "And..." his expression then started to lighten up a bit. "I think the preservation of life is worth the extra effort, don’t you?” he finished, smiling a bit nervously at the two of them.
You know.

The reason why Ebola is such an epidemic in Africa is cuz of the overall terrible health over there - like, brought about by lack of sanitary conditions and good, easily accesible medicine and shit.

An Ebola outbreak wouldn't happen in the US, or Britain or any other well-developed country for that matter since the hospitals here can handle it and would be able to treat people much more easily.

So even if a few cases sprout up from people who went to Africa, I think we can all rest easy knowing that it won't shoot across the continent like the fucking plague or w/e.

We are capable of being serious when we think something or someone is idiotic. We also usually maintain a high level of seriousness when a crisis or deeply personal situation is brought to our attention. The true beauty of Spam is that you can never tell when some people are going to ignore a thread like this one or gather around and grump in it.

I love that this thread in particular managed to spin into a rather serious debate that had nothing to do with the content of the OP at all.

Normally it's either serious debate or completely unrelated to the subject matter. It's kind of amazing to see both at once.

I never really had any problems with him.

Though now I feel kinda bad about not noticing that he left until now.
I clicked away as soon as I saw Comic Sans.
Dat jaw tho.
The people have spoken!!
Yeah sure, go ahead.
I'm dreadfully curious as to how one can look at a writing assignment for Korean grade-schoolers learning English as a 2nd language and think, "Spam game".

Like it's one thing to ask people what super-power they would want and defend it, but another to post up what seems to be the exact assignment instructions you would give to these kids, particularly encouraging "simple sentences".

Like, is no one else scratching their heads over this?
