Do any of them involve Fearing the Dark, not Blinking, Extermination, Upgrading, or a dozen other horrible things that exist in the Dr. Who universe?

The first two, maybe.

I wanted to avoid the aliens that have been around for a really long time in the show's history like Daleks and Cybermen, not just because they'd be such obvious choices but also because, if the universe of the show is so big and complicated, I might as well look towards the more obscure parts of it and maybe coming up with something a little more interesting.

Although, among other ideas inspired by the Classics, I did consider a challenge based around the Daleks as they were originally portrayed... just because that would be hilarious, given how different they are from the Daleks we know today.
“Now that I’m inside, I can toy with that tribe whenever I want.” the bugrat hissed in response to Gwazi. “It’s not every day that I meet something as strange as you three.” The creature then heard the girls behind it trying to defend the man he’d captured, and their concern for him reinforcing its theory that they were of the same kind. The bugrat was somewhat surprised, though, to hear the words that then came from Books, previously the most timid member of the group. “Are you threatening me?!” it growled, wings buzzing angrily before quickly quieting down again, a plan forming in its mind. “In that case…” it continued, pinning Gwazi against the wall harder. “Go ahead, then. Attack me.” it challenged. “Show me your power.”

Recettear is a game where you play an adorable girl in charge of an item shop. She must pay off her father's debt or else she ends up in a box.You don't want her to end up in a box, do you?

o.o Sounds interesting.

I've just brainstormed about a dozen possible challenges based off of Doctor Who and Homestuck (each). I'll probably give them all a bit more thought later tonight to see if I can narrow those ideas down to the ones that'll probably work the best.

Your consciousness is randomly swapped into another contestants body

I want to say this is a cool idea (since normally I find body-swapping kind of interesting), but this would involve all of us being really familiar with each other's characters and their abilities, which makes it pretty impractical for RP purposes.

Speaking of making money... We should totally do a Recettear based challenge. CAPITALISM HO!

Recettear? o.o Never heard of it.

Especially the kind of fun that stems from the fact that most of us signed up as heavily combat-oriented characters.

Heyyyyy just because Vash is designed to be a fighter, that doesn't mean he's not intelligent. Honestly I think he'd fit into the non-combat-oriented challenges a lot better, actually, since at least then he's less likely to get on everyone else's nerves so much.

Speaking of challenges, I've been trying to think up a suggestion for one, myself. I was thinking I could try something either Doctor Who or Homestuck-based, since they're both extremely vast universes with a ridiculous number of possibilities for this sort of thing. The hard part is just picking out something in particular that would work well for the RP. Hmmm...

Speaking of SSB, what are your most awesome/hilarious moments? One of mine would be a somewhat trolling moment I had today in an online match. I was playing as Adult Link, two other players were using Little Mac and Samus. At one point during the match, the Samus player managed to pull off a Final Smash. The only problem; she was on an elevated platform quite a bit above the rest of us, missing everyone. That is, until I, as Link, used an Upward Smash to slam the Little Mac player right into the beam XD. Sure, the kill went to the Samus player, but my <deity> was it worth it >=D.

Reading this post made me realize that I never tried fighting anyone online before, which then made me think, "why not?", so I opened my DS to try it.

I then remembered that my DS can't connect to the wi-fi here. :<

So the other people the Rat was questioning all have magic powers? O_OMaybe I should have started with a few myself rather than make it a 'Learn as you go' thing...Then again, learning as I go could be more fun from a roleplaying perspective.

Well, no one else started with magic powers. Books and Rae both had to learn that with time, and even then, they were only able to because Muse played mind games on them in order to make them realize they could.

Learning how to use such powers in the RP world is kind of difficult, anyhow, since it involves being consciously aware of the fact that you can alter your surroundings just by thinking about it and then also not doubting the ability because that would negate it...

Sorry, did I not explain that clearly enough in PM's? I must've rushed that summary worse than I thought...

Edit: Also, it dawned on me I only left my RL appearance in the CS. Which in most likelihood would not be the appearance I adopt when in an RP world. It would probably be this:Because back during my main RP days that was usually the picture I used for my characters. I'll be sure to edit this into my CS but I wanted to note the update here cause most likely no one would spot the change otherwise.

Weell... I mean, all the roleplayers were sucked into the Guild world with their real-world appearances. Either image works for me for sake of this RP, but, as far as the canon of this world is concerned, Gwazi would look exactly the same inside the Guild as out - unless he disguised himself to better blend in with his surroundings (which I'm hoping he would've done in a tribal village), or used his powers to shapeshift similarly to how Muse does.
A little while ago, she claimed she had a nightmare once where she thought she woke up, and then she turned her head to see me still awake in the middle of the night with my laptop open. And when I turned towards her, I had glowing red eyes, and then, I turned my laptop screen towards her, to reveal that I was trying to sell her internal organs on the internet.

After telling me this story, she seemed surprised when I said that I've never had a nightmare about her.

It took me too long to figure out what the question was everyone was so keen on answering, because of the incredibly poor sentence structure and lack of a question mark.

Same.

Like, I read the OP, then the rest of the thread, and wondered what question everyone was responding to. I didn't see a question.

You can't rush art.

Nor can you rush cat puns and alien shenanigans.
The cloning machine malfunctioned. All of the clones came out with a nervous twitch in one eye. They played it all off as them winking.
