Speaking of which, I uh... Well. This RP is almost a year old. Which is awesome, and I wanna keep it going, but... I'm not sure if the Guild will allow for that.

I wanted to mention this while I had the chance: I'm seriously considering migrating to another site (ideally Iwaku) if the Guild does not improve soon. While I want to have faith that Mahz will get around to fixing some things before the end of the holiday season, the site's downtime is so bad that it's down about 23 hours of the day. If Mahz doesn't do anything, it'll only get worse with time, and I'm really sick of his empty promises. I'm worried that it'll cause this RP, along with all my others, to die. And honestly if I could save just one, I would pick this one. I won't try to pack everything up if you guys don't want to, but I feel it's important to bring this issue up.

Thoughts on the subject?
HOLY SHIT I actually posted that without the Guild crashing!!

Sorry that 's taken me forever to reply to this. The guild hasn't been working and it finally started working today so I could make a reply. First off I got my DS Lite as a Christmas present when I was about 8 or 9 and my family gave me a bunch of GameBoy games for it.

If your parents got you Gameboy games by the time the DS lite was out... and if you're 13 now, which would mean you got the system about 4-5 years ago... would the Gameboy games already be used? Where did they get them if there are no used game shops near you?

Now I only know Pokemon as a card game until I really got into the world that is the internet. For crying out loud one of my 'sister' (not my actual sister but basically one) had a whole book of Pokemon cards and she gave me a shiny card (though I can't remember it).

I'm almost certain you're using this word wrong, but there are more pressing matters at hand so I'll let it slide.

I only learned about the games once I got my laptop and started reading CreepyPastas.

No wonder you don't want to buy any used copies.

I've probably seen commercials for Pokemon before I read the Pokemon CreepyPastas but I don't remember them.

Well then like I said, you would've seen Pokemon DS games. Black 2 and White 2 came out only a couple years ago.

Also to note it was my PARENTS telling me that there are no Pokemon games for DS Lite.

I'm assuming that, like most parents, they know very little about video games. In which case, they are hardly qualified to tell you this, and you should've just looked it up yourself.

I'll uh... *de-clicks pen and slides a black notebook under the bed* stop asking for names and pictures, at least.

And yes I have other Nintendo consoles, the last one that I got being my Wii.

Well just to clear things up, there are no main series Pokemon games for Wii. All the main series games are for handheld consoles.

My dad has a PS2 which none of his PS games will save on which will forever tick me off cause I want to play Final Fantasy and save my progress so I can sleep between playing.

There are also no Pokemon games (of any kind) for any non-Nintendo consoles. Same goes with pretty much all Nintendo properties.

Also funny story with the Wii. My grandpa ended up undecorating our Christmas tree when we were playing bowling on the Wii. He caught the garland on the tree and pulled it off. It was hilarious.

*serious business face*

Irrelevant.

Also yes I did get my DS Lite when it was pretty new to market but I had no choice on my games I got and my family thought I was a girly girl so I got a lot of princess games that made me rage and throw my DS a few times, and that also includes my only not girly game (Final Fantasy 7 Advanced....screw my life).

If you didn't like princess games, why didn't you ask for other things?

Also I would just like to point out THERE ARE NO USED VIDEO GAME SHOPS AROUND ME!!! I LIVE IN FREAKING FARMING COUNTRY!!! NO ONE HERE PLAYS USED VIDEO GAMES BUT ME!!!

If there are no used game stores near you, then were did your parents get the Gameboy games?

*coughs* Also FREAKING USED AND OLDER VIDEO GAMES (especially Pokemon) ARE REALLY FREAKING EXPENSIVE!!!

No they aren't.

Cite your sources.

I do most of my shopping on Amazon due to there being no used video game stores near me. HeartGold/SoulSilver clock in at $117.99

That's because, if you're buying them new, they're old enough to be a collector's item still boxed and all that. You have no choice but to get older games used unless you want to spend a fortune.

I DON'T HAVE THAT KIND OF MONEY!!!

Then buy used.

Especially around holiday season cause I went Christmas shopping for my friends.

Understandable.

Buy used.

Now yes if you do buy them used from Amazon they are a lot cheaper

Duh.

but God knows what the previous owner did to it. I don't want to buy used stuff off the internet cause you don't know what the heck you'll get when it gets to your house.

You're being paranoid.

Buying used merchandise off the internet (especially from a trusted site like Amazon) isn't dangerous; it's economical. Especially when you want to casually purchase old video games and not add them to some collection of mint condition poke-merch.

Also I know you learned about Pokemon games thanks to Creepypasta but I'm here to tell you that Creepypasta is fiction.

You won't get some haunted cartridge delivered to your house if that's what you're worried about.

Unless you're worried that some guy shoved the thing up his rectum in which case it probably won't play on your system anyway. (And it's also unlikely. Who would do such a thing to a Pokemon game???)

Okay now that's enough of me ranting cause since the guild is being glitchy I don't want to retype twenty paragraphs of rant and me making my point that I live IN THE MIDDLE OF FREAKING NO WHERE!!!

And that's why the internet is a beautiful, beautiful thing.

Also give me a break on not replying, my birthday is in 5 days and Christmas is in 2 so I'm busy preparing for Christmas.

You found time to write like 5 IC posts since I wrote that.

Also it was driving me crazy. All I wanted was an explanation.

Also welcome to the wonderful world of Sherlock where you get a new season ever four years....>.> Still waiting for season four....

Yeah every word of this post went through my head in Benedict Cumberbatch's voice.

But regardless I hope you understand that I take Pokemon very seriously...
o.o Oh wow. Apparently I really need to get back into reading the Guild news, and poking around the community in general. I had no idea anyone had started up a new art contest!
Guess who rolled a critical.
Books’ pebble sword came together easily enough, but it was flimsy, and not held together very well. The pebbles had a hard time sticking together, and the sword looked like it would only be good for a couple strikes before it would fall apart. Meanwhile Rae’s fire seemed to be doing even worse, as, not only did it drain Rae’s energy, but the streams of fire from her hands fizzled out barely any distance away from her, not even reaching the ratbug.

Gwazi, meanwhile, was not only already in close proximity to the creature, but he also wielded a much more reliable weapon. As he slashed his sword at its limbs, each strike hit, and every hit did some damage. While the ratbug’s new limbs and wings were a bit thicker and a bit tougher than the previous ones, they were still no match for Gwazi’s sword, as the creature’s wings were chopped up like paper snowflakes and his legs started to collapse under him as Gwazi’s attacks continued. No longer able to hold itself up, the ratbug screeched in pain as it toppled onto its side. Helpless on the ground, a powerful stab through the head from Gwazi managed to silence the thing. It growled and whimpered in pain for only a few seconds before its body fell limp.

Muse let out a long whistle. “Wow.” she said in amazement. “That was, um… wow.” she spoke up, looking around as the village people seemed to be relaxing only marginally, still stuck to the cavern walls as none of them dared come closer. “We um… that was… yeah.” she continued, awkwardly nodding her head at the villagers. “Yyyeah.” She then more closely examined the ratbug, kicking its corpse gently just to confirm that the thing was dead. “We should, um, probably get going now…” she continued, looking towards the roleplayers. Then, looking back at the village folk, “And, um… have a nice day?”
Ok, so, in my last ratbug post, I kind of just went with whatever felt right in terms of how effective everyone's attacks were.

But this time, in the spirit of fairness, I'm rolling a (virtual) die.

Wow we got some interesting rolls.
“Hmm… the trail gets a little bit hard to follow here…” the Doctor mused as he continued along the path, now walking next to the Master as the rival ex-Time Lord tried his hardest to avert his eyes, trying to be inconspicuous. “Ah, you there!” the Doctor called out as his screwdriver led him towards the boy. “Sorry. But um, I don’t suppose you’ve seen anything weird lately, like… maybe a ghost snake of some kind?” he asked, walking alongside him.

The Master looked towards the Doctor briefly, before quickly redirecting his gaze at the ground, still walking ahead. “No. I don’t know what you’re talking about.” he answered hastily. He couldn’t manage an encounter with the Doctor right then and there — he needed time to figure out what his plan was, and also, whose body he’d stolen.

I find the "don't mess with crazy" bit amusing.
Yeah, everything seems to have halted all at once. o.o Perhaps some non-GM posts could still happen, though...? Anything to at least make it look like this place is still alive.
