Sorry that 's taken me forever to reply to this. The guild hasn't been working and it finally started working today so I could make a reply. First off I got my DS Lite as a Christmas present when I was about 8 or 9 and my family gave me a bunch of GameBoy games for it.
If your parents got you Gameboy games by the time the DS lite was out... and if you're 13 now, which would mean you got the system about 4-5 years ago... would the Gameboy games already be used? Where did they get them if there are no used game shops near you?
Now I only know Pokemon as a card game until I really got into the world that is the internet. For crying out loud one of my 'sister' (not my actual sister but basically one) had a whole book of Pokemon cards and she gave me a shiny card (though I can't remember it).
I'm almost certain you're using this word wrong, but there are more pressing matters at hand so I'll let it slide.
I only learned about the games once I got my laptop and started reading CreepyPastas.
No wonder you don't want to buy any used copies.
I've probably seen commercials for Pokemon before I read the Pokemon CreepyPastas but I don't remember them.
Well then like I said, you would've seen Pokemon DS games. Black 2 and White 2 came out only a couple years ago.
Also to note it was my PARENTS telling me that there are no Pokemon games for DS Lite.
I'm assuming that, like most parents, they know very little about video games. In which case, they are hardly qualified to tell you this, and you should've just looked it up yourself.
I'll uh... *de-clicks pen and slides a black notebook under the bed* stop asking for names and pictures, at least.
And yes I have other Nintendo consoles, the last one that I got being my Wii.
Well just to clear things up, there are no main series Pokemon games for Wii. All the main series games are for handheld consoles.
My dad has a PS2 which none of his PS games will save on which will forever tick me off cause I want to play Final Fantasy and save my progress so I can sleep between playing.
There are also no Pokemon games (of any kind) for any non-Nintendo consoles. Same goes with pretty much all Nintendo properties.
Also funny story with the Wii. My grandpa ended up undecorating our Christmas tree when we were playing bowling on the Wii. He caught the garland on the tree and pulled it off. It was hilarious.
*serious business face*
Irrelevant.
Also yes I did get my DS Lite when it was pretty new to market but I had no choice on my games I got and my family thought I was a girly girl so I got a lot of princess games that made me rage and throw my DS a few times, and that also includes my only not girly game (Final Fantasy 7 Advanced....screw my life).
If you didn't like princess games, why didn't you ask for other things?
Also I would just like to point out THERE ARE NO USED VIDEO GAME SHOPS AROUND ME!!! I LIVE IN FREAKING FARMING COUNTRY!!! NO ONE HERE PLAYS USED VIDEO GAMES BUT ME!!!
If there are no used game stores near you, then were did your parents get the Gameboy games?
*coughs* Also FREAKING USED AND OLDER VIDEO GAMES (especially Pokemon) ARE REALLY FREAKING EXPENSIVE!!!
No they aren't.
Cite your sources.
I do most of my shopping on Amazon due to there being no used video game stores near me. HeartGold/SoulSilver clock in at $117.99
That's because, if you're buying them
new, they're old enough to be a collector's item still boxed and all that. You have no choice but to get older games used unless you want to spend a fortune.
I DON'T HAVE THAT KIND OF MONEY!!!
Then buy used.
Especially around holiday season cause I went Christmas shopping for my friends.
Understandable.
Buy used.
Now yes if you do buy them used from Amazon they are a lot cheaper
Duh.
but God knows what the previous owner did to it. I don't want to buy used stuff off the internet cause you don't know what the heck you'll get when it gets to your house.
You're being paranoid.
Buying used merchandise off the internet (
especially from a trusted site like Amazon) isn't dangerous; it's economical. Especially when you want to
casually purchase old video games and not add them to some collection of mint condition poke-merch.
Also I know you learned about Pokemon games thanks to Creepypasta but I'm here to tell you that Creepypasta
is fiction.
You won't get some haunted cartridge delivered to your house if that's what you're worried about.
Unless you're worried that some guy shoved the thing up his rectum in which case it probably won't play on your system anyway. (And it's also unlikely. Who would do such a thing to a Pokemon game???)
Okay now that's enough of me ranting cause since the guild is being glitchy I don't want to retype twenty paragraphs of rant and me making my point that I live IN THE MIDDLE OF FREAKING NO WHERE!!!
And that's why the internet is a beautiful, beautiful thing.
Also give me a break on not replying, my birthday is in 5 days and Christmas is in 2 so I'm busy preparing for Christmas.
You found time to write like 5 IC posts since I wrote that.
Also it was driving me crazy. All I wanted was an explanation.
Also welcome to the wonderful world of Sherlock where you get a new season ever four years....>.> Still waiting for season four....
Yeah every word of this post went through my head in Benedict Cumberbatch's voice.
But regardless I hope you understand that I take Pokemon very seriously...
