Almost finished, sorry for the delay. This post will mainly serve as some clarification on what's actually going on with this beach and to have Gaunt give directions to stuff they may like, such as pointing Ajax, Pete, and Link towards a bar (most likely his personal favorite, Munden's). EDIT: @Jerkchicken There's no boardwalk, by the way. The beach just suddenly cuts off and becomes city once you're out of the sector.
Okay, sorry for the inactivity. I was having issues with my phone (which is about to get replaced, thankfully), but I'll get to posting sometime today.
That'd be cool, actually. Give it some thought, we've got some time before the First Age aligns with Cynosure.
Cirno can be the strongest for real now! Her stuff's good. Samus gains: X-Ray Visor: The name is actually misleading, but this allows Samus to see through all but dense metals and certain materials that don't "agree" with the Visor, so to speak. Samus is, as with the Thermal Visor, able to engage in combat while this Visor is equipped. Ice Spreader: This is the charge combo for the Ice Beam, and costs ten missiles to use. A homing "ice missile" is fired from the missile launcher. If it hits its target while said target is on the ground, a sheet of ice coats the ground in a six-foot radius, freezing everything in that range solid for half a minute, after which the ice thaws. Due to the larger number of upgrades, Samus gains two energy tanks and four missile expansions compared to her usual 1-2, bringing her up to eight energy tanks and 80 missiles.
Jack, Bee, and Jon, your upgrades look fine. Go ahead and stick them in your sheets.
Zero, could you include a cooldown on Immovable? I'm worried it could end up abused otherwise. I'm not saying I don't trust you to not abuse it, but I'd appreciate having that happen just to make sure. The other two are perfectly fine, it's just that one I'm a bit worried about. EDIT: Also, I just noticed the big "Edit" button up top that let me change the thread title, so no need to make a new thread, thankfully. EDIT 2: Guys, we're not quite in the beach, just on the edge, right outside of the sector that just phased out of alignment with Cynosure.
Protags, I'm doing this so the thread title doesn't imply the old lore still applies, and they don't do thread name changes anymore. Antags get their thread if this can last for another world, so I can make sure it won't die again. I don't think it will, but I want to be sure.
3-2 it is. Go ahead and submit your upgrades here if you want, unless you want to wait for the new thread. Grimjack's not getting any this time due to not being present when the energy was distributed (and he doesn't have enough crucible exposure to get any even if he were, but world totems work differently so he'll be getting stuff from there). Kalama's at his maximum power, so he'll never be getting any upgrades.
When the light dissolved, Ajax, being the one to administer the final blow that sent Ganondorf spiraling into the depths of the Sacred Realm, found himself in a place that felt much more peaceful than the broken Hyrule he was just in. Water poured from underneath the platform on which he stood, upon which the Triforce was embossed. Despite bypassing all the temples, all six Sages stood before the Herculean boxer, freed when Ajax sealed Ganondorf through sheer brute force. "We know what it is you seek. While we know you did not come here to save Hyrule, we are grateful you and your allies have done so. What you seek is here in the Temple of Light." From the water below, a glowing orb made from a golden material rose, energy coursing over its surface. It was quite a large object, as big as Ajax's fist. So it became obvious that whoever asked for Kalama's help had nothing to be concerned about, for the intact Crucible of Worlds hovered in front of Ajax. When Ajax no doubt grabbed ahold of the Crucible, every avatar saw the world freeze. The shadow rushing towards Rawk in the Shadow Temple froze, the magma dragon matriarch about to attack Samus and Alpha froze, Twinrova froze, and then everything dissolved into binary code streams, leaving them within the Cyber Realm. Kalama appeared surprised when the avatars returned, but not because of the time taken. They were there a good while, but he was surprised to see the entire Crucible there. "So the Crucible never shattered." Reaching out a foreclaw, the Crucible moved towards the dragon and into his grip. With a slight movement, the avatars felt new energy flow into their bodies, and any nonfatal injuries they might have sustained were healed. They also felt new power waiting to be given purpose. Just after this power flowed into them, however, a dark streak moved past them and snatched the Crucible. When they looked in the direction it went, Dark Samus stood holding the Crucible. Before Kalama could react and retrieve it again, she left the Cyber Realm to who knows where. "I had thought her dead with Phaaze destroyed. It's likely she's left this universe. You'll be sent to the crossroads for all universes in a moment, once the Mind realizes what's happened. I will see you there, once you arrive." The dragon then dissolved into fire, which dissipated as he left Cyberspace. After a moment, they themselves were pulled into a portal and ejected from Cyberspace. They found themselves on a street in a city of some kind. They didn't get long to get their bearings before a voice rang out, "Clear that sector, now!" They'd then notice that the space they were in felt thin, as though it weren't entirely there. When (or if) they moved to a spot that felt more solid, if they looked back they'd see the entire section of the city simply disappear before being replaced by an entirely different location, a beach front of some kind, with ocean stretching into the distance. "New to the place?" Anyone that turned to face the voice would see a rough looking man in an old military uniform, with a dark blue cape on his back. A sword sat on his hip and a pistol sat in a holster on the opposite side.
Already have. It's why I've been saying digital universe instead of digital Multiverse, or just Cyberspace. We're also starting the next plot arc we'd had planned in the first run, where we'd essentially be working to take down the antagonist avatars that will be getting their thread soon (with Phaaze taking over from the entity Freedom, who will have been taken down as the first plot point in the second arc as well as the final one in the first arc). I'm also getting the properly named thread up once I finish up the post to get us out of Cyberspace. I essentially rushed the first one to completion so we can move on to the second and end up where we would have been if it had lasted just a little longer the first time around, only with Phaaze being replaced by Dark Samus.
