shadow sat under the dying tree for a while and then sighed. he looked around before deciding that he would go and find something to eat. he walks back to the city and then goes into the tavern. he gets himself some bread then walks back outside. he lays down outside the tavern and eats his bread. he then closes his eyes to wait for what comes next. he falls asleep after a bit.

Shadow heard a voice but couldn't make it out. he could tell from the way it sounded the person was in pain. he tossed his sword into the house and grabbed his necklace. he checked how much of the healing potion he had left. he had enough to heal one person no matter the wounds. he entered the house and searched each room. when he found Aery he could see just how bad her wounds were. he shook his head and then walked over to her. " look i need you to try and drink this. its a fast acting healing potion. its the last of it that i have but it will help you." he opened the vial containing the healing potion and then put it to her lips. he was careful with the liquid inside because she would need all of it. he slowly poured it into her mouth while supporting her with his arm. he wouldn't just let her die like this not when he could help her. she had helped him before when he was injured and being chased by guards so he owed her anyways. he also set his water aside for her because when the potion finished she would still need water or she would die from dehydration.

Shadow walked to where they had left Kalin's body. "you may be a traitor but i'm still going to give you a grave." he picked the body up and walked back to the tree. he spent the next while digging a grave for Kalin. he then tossed his body in and covered it with the dirt. he then said " your life was death so i leave you with a friend in death. this tree will guard you body for the rest of its life." Shadow then sat down and sighed. he hated having hurt the tree but he wanted a reminder of what Kalin was.

Shadow yelled in frustration. he had been attacked by that man he though saved him and then he got left behind by the group. he was just unlucky with everything today. he knew when they were leaving but he had still missed them. he walked the streets and then saw a large group of soldiers and guards. he drew his sword and charged them. he stabbed one in the neck and then fought the others by the time he was done he had at least 20 cuts from the guards but he had killed them all in his rage. he walked to the building that he had been sleeping in recently. he saw that someone had been in here since he left. he kept his sword ready and called out " is anyone still here?"

Shadow smiled and then went and grabbed his sword. he sat down and took out a cloth. he rubbed the blade and then smiled when he saw the faint red color to the blade itself. he walked to a near by tree and gave it a slash. the blade sank into the tree bark and then the tree's leaves started to wither and die. " well at least the poison is fast acting." he said as he walked away from the tree with his sword.

shadow naturally was able to cancel out her magic. he used the lance to give him extra push in his jump. he jumped straight up and then with his left hand threw all three of the daggers that he had in the wrist compartment of his armor. he aimed them all at different spots on her. when he landed he would dash to the side and throw all of them in the right side compartment.

with the blade to his chest he smiled and then in a flash he brought the lance shaft up and hit the hilt of the blade of the sword hard enough to crack normal metal. then his sense kicked in and he rolled to the side as the birds dove at him. he stood back up and stabbed a few of the birds with his lance. he smiled and then said " i will only be done when i die. plus its your move."

this was a move that shadow was waiting for. he slammed his blade into the ground and then jumpped back so that if she wasn't fast enough she would end up kicking the sword and wounding herself. he landed and reached behind his back. he drew his lace and gave his wrist a flick to extend the lance to full length. " and what would your question be?"

Shadow stepped back to avoid the blade and then raised his sword to block the punch. he smile and then said " yes he beat me but that was then. i have trained and got a lot better than i was back then. in fact this is only my secondary weapon. i'm much better with my lance." Shadow stepped to the side but before his foot even hit the ground he shoved off with his other foot and then slipped behind her swinging the blade in an attempt to hit her sword in the middle of the blade. when he lands he will turn quickly and brace for her next move.
