Current I hesitate to call it a triumphant return, but let's just see how it goes. ;)

"RP DM" when said aloud sounds like "Carpe Diem". Coincidence? I think not.

Bio

Almost everything you need to know about me is here: tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Tropers..

Umm...what else can I say about myself? I dunno. I'm part cyborg (my leg). That's kinda interesting, I guess. I'm a brony, but I honestly haven't followed anything having to do with FIM since, like, Season 3...ish. I like creepypastas...in fact, I have a couple in the works. And I'm in the process of writing an SCP. That's cool, right? That's what cool kids do? I like anime, video games,...uh, music...and...uh...stuff. *vague babbling*

Oh! I'm on Steam! "Karl Kadaver"

Also, be mindful guys, if I take hours to reply, I am in a different timezone. Also, I return to work tomorrow so I'll be doing that for 9 hrs of my day before I return. So if I get 5 interested people overnight, I'll release the CS when I get out of work.

I'm okay with this. I also work for 8-10 hours a day.
Consider me interested.

I actually have a character that I used in a crossover RP who was originally from FF VIII who I can probably convert to this RP with no trouble.

I want Shiva!

Color me interested.
As Tamra reached the bottom of the ladder, the man fell to Takao's blade. She let her lights hover over his body as she strode over and knelt beside him. She then pulled a small symbol of Wee Jas from around her neck and clasped it as she positioned the man's hands over his wound. She closed her eyes. "Go in peace. Soon you will be in The Stern Lady's embrace, and she will decide your fate." She kissed the symbol as she replaced it around her neck and stood up, taking in the scenery of the room as she did so.

She spied the totem that Charlie spoke of and took a few steps toward it. Surely a book like this held some sort of arcane knowledge undiscovered. But as Charlie implied, it could also be some sort of trap for the unwary. If she ran her hand over the cover, perhaps she could detect any magic that it emanated...
Tamra had been too busy searching for her spell component that she didn't notice the huge man stumbling toward her until he was nearly on top of her. Her concentration momentarily broken, she pulled her hand from her component pouch in order to quickly move to the side, as the large man did as well. She spat a curse at her ineptitude and started to stand up, but as she reached a sitting position, she heard her previous opponent cry out for help from within the tower.

Knowing that one of her companions was down there as well, and that he may be soon outnumbered if her opponents call was heeded, quickly reached into her component pouch and withdrew a small glowworm. She waved her hand outward and chanted, "Lux Et Via!" and in an instant, four purple, flame shaped lights shot out from the glowworm and began snaking their way down the trapdoor hatch. She quickly ventured a glance at her other compatriots and determined that they had the situation handled where they were, so she made her way down the hatch and into the tower, making the Dancing Lights arc and sway in an effort to distract her poisoned opponent.
I'm interested, but I'm thinking of using, like, The Megazord or something similar.

Could you imagine a bunch of kids running around, being frickin kids, then combining into a Megazord? :P
The words weren't even all the way out of his mouth when one that had woken first lunged past the trap door and straight toward Tamra, attempting to close the distance before she could work whatever magic she was conjuring, sword swinging wildly.

"Venenum Sufocantus!" As she chanted the words to her spell, a green, noxious gas appeared from her outstretched palm, blanketing the area in front of her. At the same time, she tried to back away from both the deadly gas and the wild swordsman, but her foot caught on a raised stone behind her and she tripped and fell.

A glint of steel flashed above her head as the sword sliced through the air above her. Leaning on her elbow, she opened her component pouch and searched for the material for her next spell: a twig that had been struck by lightning. As she grabbed hold of it, she closed her eyes and quickly offered a short prayer to Wee Jas: "Milady, leave me in this world long enough to properly earn your favor..."
Thanks for the good posts so far, folks! I realized I failed to put 'Rules of Battle' in the intro post, so figured I'd better do it now that we're headed for combat. ;)

Defender decides the outcome of an attack.

That one rule sums it up pretty well, I think. This goes for PCs and NPCs, as well as for traps. So if another character aims a strike at yours, you get to decide if it injures your character. (It makes the story all the more dramatic if the heroes emerge at the end a little worse for wear. )

Edit: The only exception would be if the story is waiting on your reply for multiple days. If it's holding up the game, I may step in and resolve the attack outcome.

Sounds good to me.
Tamra disembarked not long after Arnold, taking inventory of her components as she did so. She began murmuring the words to her Dancing Lights spell when she heard creaking hinges coming from the roof ahead of them. Blast! she thought as she stopped her chanting and rushed toward her companions. She arrived nearby as a few men nearby began to rouse from their sleep.

She took a few steps toward the cleric while keeping her eyes locked on the men. She said as much to the men as to Arnold, "We don't want a fight, but if we must...then I can only pray that the Dark Eyed lady has mercy on your souls." She raised her hand before her, preparing to cast Poison Spray.
Tamra certainly wasn't used to being nudged, and when it happened this time, she turned her head towards the one who did it and listened to his question.

"The tide would've taken the boat out to sea of this had been from a previous expedition." She knew well the tale of the tide covering all but the highest parapets under normal circumstances. She shook her head at her companion. "I have the feeling that we'll have...competition. I may be presuming a bit much, but if more than one person was in that boat, it's likely they're a team." She ran her fingers back through her hair. "After all, they didn't hire a ferry..."
