Ello peeps -

I'll add in some basic Vamp rules in the original post in the morning. I'm off tomorrow, so I'll finish my CS and review the CS's that are posted in here by then. I'll also drop a few notes for the plot as we go along, so be sure to check out the latest updates in the original post when you come to write for us.

I'm a collaborator, so if you have ideas or subplots let me know. I look forward to getting to know you guys through our writing - and biting you here and there - lucky bastards. :)

Stephen/MST/McHaggis - lovely... I'll check it for content and such tomorrow. Thanks for getting it up!
Caught - I will have you - give me a CS
Esper - Welcome, looking forward to seeing what you come up with.
Renny - You'll do just fine and if not, I'll coach you with a smile and encouragement. :)
Phat - The family is really more about your vampire clan, so yes, they should be vamps and really I'm asking you to create a historical vamp line, so they aren't really family per sae, but more the bloodline from which you come.

Thanks again guys - I'll have more up tomorrow.
Feel free to post up a character in the OOC. :)

Name: Vivian Dracula (Eldest Vamp)
Family: (Be creative - choose a family name and give a brief history of the family - their origins. Please note that the only one you cannot use the original Dracula)
Familial Political Support: Liberal or Conservative?
Appearance: (Picture is fine, no anime - description as well)
True Age:
Blood Lust Affinity: (This is going to be something new. As a vamp we will all have a weakness that triggers blood lust in us - so if its the smell of animal blood, blondes, or homemade cookies - I don't care, just put your affinity and make it realistic)
History:
OOC

The OOC is up. Check it out and let me know how many of us there really are. :)

Amidst the movement of shadow and skin,
the boundaries of life and death begin.
The aching and longing for something surreal,
will beckon the weak to strike a deal.
But for that gift they'll entertain mistrust,
for none can conquer the violent blood lust.

In looking to write a new vamp story with a few good writers, I want to focus more on the power that lies behind the monster. These individuals that we will play will be steeped in history, their families running back to the beginning of time. You will choose a family name and build that history for us to enjoy via the IC. The overhanging plot for the story will be as such:

London, 1912

There has never been a time in human history when death seemed to stand still and yet that time is now. For almost one hundred years my father and his father have hunted down the beasts that roam the night, their calling card nothing more than a shell of humanity, their disease one for the history books. We have all but destroyed them and I fear that if we do not finish the job in my generation, that we will once again see the rise of the night walkers. I will gather to me a grouping of men that will search them out and destroy them one by one if needed. I will not stop until the world is rid of the curse found so long ago within the very pages of the Holy Word. We have found an ally that is far more advanced and deadly than the vampires could imagine. He will assist us and for that, he will find atonement for his sins.

May God's mercy surround me, his strength cover me and his courage engulf me.
Father Edward Simmons

The church has been quite effective in ridding the world of our kind and the writing is more than clear on each and every city we enter that we grow more and more extinct. Having always been the stronger of the species, we have relied on our cunningness and speed, their fear and the element of surprise to stay just above the humans in the hierarchy of life, but a season of change is upon us. With only 6 vampiric families remaining, the eldest vamp amongst us as called a quorum to come to London and discern next steps for the race as a whole. You've been extended an invitation and are expected to bring idea's that might change the face of what stands before us - extinction.

Having just received word a few weeks ago, it would appear that something more dangerous than us has surfaced and is targeting a new food source - us.

"What is the news you bring us traveler?" The adviser to the queen spoke with a sharp tongue, his patience tried by the full day of deliberations on the matter already.

"I've already told you, great on. The heathen's have destroyed every land from Zarinth to Valence. It's no more than a two month span before they make it here if they continue on the path that they've begun with." The traveler was a young man with sandy-blonde hair and sun-kissed skin, his purpose to collect a bit of coin from his information and travels.

"How do you know at which rate these men are traveling?" The adviser turned to look at his queen as she touched his shoulder, his attention always due her if and when she wanted it. The young man gave his answer, but the adviser was kneeling before Varin, his dark gaze looking up at the stately beauty. "Yes, my queen."

She looked at the young man and back at her adviser before nodding to let him know that she would be speaking. "Stand, my adviser, move to my side."

"As you wish." He stood and offered his hand as she moved to her full height, her body lithe and tight with youth that didn't belong to her age. She'd been blessed or cursed - oh which he wasn't sure and would never think it his place to ask. She moved a few steps forward, her eyes on the young man as he stared at her in unabashed lust. His eyes moved along the curves of her body, the thigh lace stretching across her full breasts. The adviser started to reprimand the boy but the queen held up her hand.

"He is lying. They will be here in no more than a month." A smile touched her smile as she watched shock wash across his face, his skills bar none to her own. She reached behind her, the adviser placing a small knife in her hand, a smile touching his. She was the coldest bitch he'd ever had the pleasure of working for and he'd kill his own mother to stay on her good side.

"I am not lying, your majes.." he never finished his response before she flicked her wrist, the knife plunging into his forehead and sinking to the ground.

"Clean it up and find me someone that isn't afraid to get his hands dirty. We have plenty of jewels for payment. Find me the best or everyone of you will stand before my blade. Is that clear?" She looked around the room and everyone shook their heads, fear painted on their faces. She moved her long black dress out of the way, reached for her headdress and slipped it on, exiting the room without another word.

Many forces have tried to take Esper over the years, the fortress of ice build high into the sky as a means of protecting not only the queen, but their precious stones of life. A new power had arisen from the East and the whispers in the wind speak of bloodshed and horrors that haven't been seen since the demon's escaped and ravaged the earth, purging from the core all means of innocence and youth. Those days are long gone, but Varin remembers them all to well, her people still scarred from the loss of their children and loved ones. This new power is something to behold and yet she will stop at nothing to ensure the safety of her race and her tight grip on the crown.

The first snow of fall had begun to fall, Esper welcoming the activity and yet the land was already covered in the ice of winter, the land never fully thawing because of climate and altitude. The pristine white castle of Queen Varin sat at the edge of a steep cliff the purpose one of fortification. The dark city of life loomed behind her home, the front posing a reminder to those ignorant enough to approach her home that she was in fact ready to stand out front with her warriors and protect her people. She had been queen for almost twenty years when the sands of time shifted the balance of good and evil, a power rising from the East, a people called the Mahia. They were amazonian warriors that lived in the warmest climates on each, so the counsel of Esper first determined that they had nothing to prepare for - nothing to worry with.

These warriors would've travel through the frozen wasteland that completely landlocked the country of Esper for they would perish like all those before them. They couldn't have been more wrong and yet nothing had occurred to date, but the oracles, including the queen had seen into the future where the color of life coated the streets and very few people remained alive, a whole country wiped out by the hands of a madman. The timing of the vision never made itself clear and so the counsel would meet yet again to try and discern their next steps in an effort to get ahead of the approaching threat.
Sorry for the delay.

Do we want/need CS??

We can plot in here if you like so that our notes stay with us. :)
I was starting to think that perhaps no one enjoyed playing vamps anymore. I'll work on an OOC tonight and those that want to join can do as such.

Thanks for the interest.

I'm not seeing a good vampire story on the pages of RPG as I should, so instead of hoping for one to start - I'll start one. I'm looking for a group of 3-5 people to join me in creating a world where vampires are still something to be feared. I'm looking at the 1900's because I love the setting and the simplicity in which we'd be required to play. The characters I'm in search of would, of course, be vampires, but if you're in the mood to play a human or another species, let's talk.

As far as a plot goes, I'm not sharing one single drop until the OOC. Just know it's great and you'll be asked to help spin the portion that relates to you. Everyone deserves center stage in a good story - so let's all jump in and see who's left standing.

Interested?
