I had an old idea about two former child assassins, who managed to get away from their employers by turning state's evidence with the sort of testimony/evidence that puts international crime lords behind bars for life (both of them had different employers). But there's a little encounter they both had that involves a man they could not kill, no matter how many times they shot at him. By coincidence, the two went to the same school in a US witness protection programme. And an old contact of both of theirs manages to get a hold of both of them, asking them for one last job. Dealing with the man that would not die, and other supernatural things.
(As they are former hitmen in witness protection program, they're most likely not allowed to own guns legally. They also have to have contact with government once a year to check on them.)
