God I hate a CS... I feel like I've done 10,000 of them lately. Kill me please.
Thanks. Should be fun to play as well. I put her title at the top, so yes, thanks for the reminder. :)

Name: Claudia Esper

Appearance:

Age: 18

Preferred Gladiator Form: Dimachaerus

Bio: Claudia grew up with a sword in her hand due to her father being the general of Pompeii and him afforded no other children. She learned to utilize two swords when fighting and often was allowed to drawl her hair up high and cover her soft olive skin with mud and dirt to better fit in when a battle came to their door. She cared not for taking a life, but when it meant saving one of her people she was completely sold to give her all. The Centurum Empire enjoyed the fruits of Pompeii, the city having much to offer to its Emperors and council of patricians, but through word that reached the Emperors, the army itself was gaining to much power and could possible turn against the ones it served.

In an effort to remind the people of their place below the mighty foot of the council of patricians, the guards of the Empire moved through the city late one evening taking all of the first born children, both female and male and stripped them of their identity and rights - selling them into the gladiatorial games for sport. The city learned its lesson quickly and Claudia found herself in a place and time that far underscored the life she'd dreamt of. She would learn to be a gladiator and she would fight her way to the death simply because there was no other option, but when the time came, she would stop at nothing to regain her freedom and the right to return to her people and her father.

Doctore Luminia

Name: Ivanna "Ivy" Landis

Appearance:

Age: 23

Preferred Gladiator Form: Retiarius

Bio: Ivy grew up in southern Italy, her father a wealthy merchant and ruler of the people in their small province of Sanya-del. She was raised to be a lady, proper and well mannered, her only interaction with other children was through various festivals her father put on in the towns square twice a year. She was, however, very perceptive and loved to spar more than anything, the older boys in town often meeting at the edge of the village forest to draw sticks and see who would reign supreme. Having gotten herself a nasty bruise or a deep cut a time or two quickly taught her how to patch herself up, hold her emotions and cover up anything with a little paint and effort. She spent three years of her adolescence working hard to win the spot of King of the Forest through their various levels of fighting; however, the year before the Centurum Empire invaded she did just that.

Their country was always one to side with Centurum law, but through a series of unfortunate events their King found himself on the wrong side of the Emperors and therefore an enemy to the empire. The battle was much like her first sparring event, the Centurum much larger and greater in skill and number had laid waste to her village and her people, both of her parents loosing their lives in the event. She fought along side the young men of the village and killed twelve soldiers that day, her technique fascinating for the general to watch from a distance. When the time came to gather the best fighters up for inspection she was included, her response to the general was the lodging of spit in his handsome face. He decided to keep her for himself and train her to be the best retairuis fighter in Maro, the crowds wanting more of the blonde beauty and her unbendable spirit. She would be great and he would sell her only to one day reclaim his prize.

Yay!! Glad you live and looking forward to you post. I shall post up my wolf tonight too... or that's the plan. :)
In the golden ages of the Roman Empire, a person's worth was measured almost as much by their quality and quantity of slaves, as they were of any personal worth. Gold rules all, and Slaves cost a hefty bit of gold. As such, it makes sense that members of ruling houses are given tribute through both the currency of gold and the currency of people.

Slaves come in many different shapes and sizes: All with the common trait of being 'not roman'. Some are delicate Persian women, given as whores or handmaidens. Others are the lithe and agile men, suitable for delivering messages and fetching wine. Yet no slave is more sought after or romanticized than a gladiator: for a gladiator is a god in his field. On the sands of the coliseum, a Gladiator is a king, brought for the right to shed blood and gore over the sand in the name of their owner. Entire fortunes have been won and lost on the shoulders of a single gladiator's fight, so the gift of such a noble warrior would obviously be one of great weight.

You'd be a slave - a gladiator and I'd be the Emperor's daughter, your new owner, but when push comes to shove, who's really in charge of whom?
