Gotta keep them guessing, love.

Hot tub, ice cream and bed-kinda night!
Oh yeah.. I'll get on YIM. :)
Thinking that was the end of the discussion on Project Lazarus, Sara nodded and picked up her burger, taking another bite as Kelly finished his complements to her character and ability. She wiped the ketchup from her lips and thanked him for saying such nice things, her education and training being the core of who she was as a person. Perhaps if she had more to lean upon, via a person or deity, her world would've remained in tact the last time she tried something exploratory and it blew up in her face.

She sat back, rubbing her belly as she looked up at Kelly, her expression softening just a little as he turned the conversation toward them with the nice caveat that it would do nothing with work. She dug down into her background beyond the situation with Matthew and found that she held quite a few pleasant memories. Not wanting to share really but still wanting to know more about Dr. Scott, she sighed softly and started to talk.

"I was born in Boston, my mother a model and my father a scientist who should've gone into medicine where the money was." She smiled at remembrance of her father and his crazy ideas. "I worked hard and listened well as he worked at the house now and again, my own love for discovery growing by leaps and bounds during my teenage years. Graduated school at seventeen and went to Harvard, graduating at the top of my class for pre-med only to join NY Gen to work on the Trauma team. I moved up quickly and love..." she paused and smiled, "just love... science. I think it is a gift to those of us that embrace it and honestly believe we will be able to make the world better by applying our craft and pushing past prejudice and normalcy."

She slipped a fry into her mouth and mumbled, "I love chocolate and Van Halen too. Your turn."

Well at least you mentioned gross and parental sex in the same context. I was starting to get worried.

Laughs... so cute, love. So cute. *pinches your bum*
*pops your buttoxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx* Hush with your rambling and tell me something good.
Glad you liked it. :) Sounds great, but no rush on my part.

My day was busy as hell and I'm grateful that it is almost over!

Many forces have tried to take Esper over the years, the fortress of ice build high into the sky as a means of protecting not only the queen, but their precious stones of life. A new power had arisen from the East and the whispers in the wind speak of bloodshed and horrors that haven't been seen since the demon's escaped and ravaged the earth, purging from the core all means of innocence and youth. Those days are long gone, but Varin remembers them all to well, her people still scarred from the loss of their children and loved ones. This new power is something to behold and yet she will stop at nothing to ensure the safety of her race and her tight grip on the crown.
The first snow of fall had begun to fall, Esper welcoming the activity and yet the land was already covered in the ice of winter, the land never fully thawing because of climate and altitude. The pristine white castle of Queen Varin sat at the edge of a steep cliff the purpose one of fortification. The dark city of life loomed behind her home, the front posing a reminder to those ignorant enough to approach her home that she was in fact ready to stand out front with her warriors and protect her people. She had been queen for almost twenty years when the sands of time shifted the balance of good and evil, a power rising from the East, a people called the Mahia. They were amazonian warriors that lived in the warmest climates on each, so the counsel of Esper first determined that they had nothing to prepare for - nothing to worry with.

These warriors would've travel through the frozen wasteland that completely landlocked the country of Esper for they would perish like all those before them. They couldn't have been more wrong and yet nothing had occurred to date, but the oracles, including the queen had seen into the future where the color of life coated the streets and very few people remained alive, a whole country wiped out by the hands of a madman. The timing of the vision never made itself clear and so the counsel would meet yet again to try and discern their next steps in an effort to get ahead of the approaching threat.

"What is the news you bring us traveler?" The adviser to the queen spoke with a sharp tongue, his patience tried by the full day of deliberations on the matter already.

"I've already told you, great on. The heathen's have destroyed every land from Zarinth to Valence. It's no more than a two month span before they make it here if they continue on the path that they've begun with." The traveler was a young man with sandy-blonde hair and sun-kissed skin, his purpose to collect a bit of coin from his information and travels.

"How do you know at which rate these men are traveling?" The adviser turned to look at his queen as she touched his shoulder, his attention always due her if and when she wanted it. The young man gave his answer, but the adviser was kneeling before Varin, his dark gaze looking up at the stately beauty. "Yes, my queen."

She looked at the young man and back at her adviser before nodding to let him know that she would be speaking. "Stand, my adviser, move to my side."

"As you wish." He stood and offered his hand as she moved to her full height, her body lithe and tight with youth that didn't belong to her age. She'd been blessed or cursed - oh which he wasn't sure and would never think it his place to ask. She moved a few steps forward, her eyes on the young man as he stared at her in unabashed lust. His eyes moved along the curves of her body, the thigh lace stretching across her full breasts. The adviser started to reprimand the boy but the queen held up her hand.

"He is lying. They will be here in no more than a month." A smile touched her smile as she watched shock wash across his face, his skills bar none to her own. She reached behind her, the adviser placing a small knife in her hand, a smile touching his. She was the coldest bitch he'd ever had the pleasure of working for and he'd kill his own mother to stay on her good side.

"I am not lying, your majes.." he never finished his response before she flicked her wrist, the knife plunging into his forehead and sinking to the ground.

"Clean it up and find me bounty hunter or someone that isn't afraid to get his hands dirty. We have plenty of jewels for payment. Find me the best or everyone of you will stand before my blade. Is that clear?" She looked around the room and everyone shook their heads, fear painted on their faces. She moved her long black dress out of the way, reached for her headdress and slipped it on, exiting the room without another word.

This story is open for the male ruler of the other people, the right hand of the queen or both if you like. I want to build the world of Esper and develop quite a political stance. My queen will be dominate and demanding - hope you're "up" for the challenge.

Queen Varin

Her perfectly shaped fingernails ran back and forth along her chin as she watched him, his words grinding against her nerve endings as yet she'd been taught from an early age to told tight to a facade of indifference or at least one of relaxed emotionality. Darkened jade eyes traced along his handsome face, the stubble on his chin and cheeks nothing more than a sign to her that it'd been no more than a day since he'd been allowed to clean himself and shave. He was lovely to look upon, the strong movements of his upper body showed strength beyond imagination and yet he was weary and tired. Perhaps more so from the trip than the emotional roller coaster that he'd been on, but she'd guess it was a bit of both if cornered to speak reality.

She nodded at him. "Its the look in your eyes that tells me that you mean me no harm. You appear to be intelligent enough to not bow before the appropriate time and you've made it this far in a journey meant to bring you harm I would imagine, so a moment of pleasure before death seems less likely, but I could be wrong." A soft smirk formed on her lips and she simply shook her head, long chestnut locks moving about her as she did. Her hands dropped to her side, touching the edge of her sapphire satin gown and playing with the material as he continued to speak.

Little did he know that the sound of his voice gave her subtle hints as to his personality, her studies of people and history itself giving her insight into things beyond that of what her age might allow. The deep timbre of his voice was hinted with honor and politeness, his deep masculine tones telling her that he was not afraid, but rather confident in himself regardless of the situation laid before him. He was strong and showed only a few small cuts and bruises, the rest of his body from what she could observe seemed to be unharmed. It simply meant that he won more often than not. There was no way her father would bring a slave to defend her honor if he were not the best... if he were not the gladiator of the other gladiators. So many tale tell signs of his strength, this ability and his character. She kept all these things to herself, speaking only when he paused and looking upon him in earnest hopefulness.

Her face flushed at one comment and she spoke up, a bit of strength in her response as she stepped forward and squared her shoulders, "No one deserves bondage. No one should hold the power to remove from man the only thing that makes him man - his humanity. That emperors and generals find it fitting to belittle and strip other males of their dignity and place in the natural order of things makes me ill to the depths of my soul."

She let him finish, quite unsure what his last remark meant. Treat him like a man? She tilted her head to the side a little, pondering on what he could possibly mean by that. What else would she treat him like? He didn't know her well enough to know that she would give respect when he earned it and she would speak to him as an equal because he, like herself were capable of speaking to each other in a manner that bleed respect and humanity at best. She let the comment slip, simply nodding before moving to the door of her room and opening it, a guard turning toward her as if he thought harm had befallen her.

"What is it, princess? Is something wrong?" He moved toward her as if to enter the room. She placed a hand on his chest and pushed him back out with care.

"We're hungry. Have the chef prepare a platter of food from the party and send it with crimson wine as soon as possible." She touched her stomach and beckoned the guard move and close the door. Turning to Verus she simply stood still, her hand on her tummy and a look of genuine concern on her pretty face. "When is the last time you had a meal?"
I was wondering where you were. If you don't want to do this - I understand. :)

My character is quite tired of being a vamp and could care less for the gift of eternity, constantly looking for something new to do or try. The original plot for my story that I was trying to start was that the son of the Alpha wolf would catch her eye and they would create a relationship among them that was completely forbidden by both parties. I hadn't gotten to far on it..

If you're not able to write it just let me know, love. No harm, no foul!
