Current If you think flattery will get you something from me, you are most certainly correct.

Bio

Best summed up with the phrase: "Tries really hard."
A pitiable excuse of a person, but I try really hard.

I'm mostly waiting for Lyrisa to react to being cleaved at by some dirty claws before I post Leifr curling up in a fetal position on his horse and complaining flatly that his stomach hurts while the MAGNIFICENT MAGNHILDR kills all the bad guys.
ERode said
Keia, you have forgotten that Allereun was the first to get on a horse.

I beg your pardon.
Leifr said Spinning around just in time to see the woman stumble on poor footing and set upon by the beasts, Leifr quickly mounted his horse and prepared himself for more combat.
Fiore said How? Fiore asked inside of his head as he rushed towards Odysseus, quickly mounting him. If we run, who's to say that those beasts won't chase us?
Allereun said With that, Allereun turned around and went to mount one of the horses

Allereun is the third to mount and only Lyrisa has yet to mount. Not that it's a problem: I was aiming to have Leifr ride by and snatch her anyways.

Or just suck it up and fight now that you all have a new ally :3

Looks like it's up to Fiore to save the day again.
Useless nobles, questionable strangers, and impractical girls just can't do anything without our glorious (and schizophrenic) Fencer, even if he just doesn't get a long enough break to fully recover from any of his fights...

Then, how exactly were we suppose to run away guys? Frilly noble tunic man leaving a girl, a cute tsuntsun girl to be brutally mauled.

Easy.
The two tasty and soft girls (and girlish man-thing) are much more delectable than the tough, taut muscled bodies that is Fiore and Leifr, especially when they are already on horses and have really painful metal sticks. Fiore and Leifr could use everyone's honorable sacrifices to escape so that they can start practicing for their duel.

Which old avatar/signature set? I never used CloserS before. XD

I could've sworn you used Yuri Seo as a signature before, but I may be wrong and be thinking of someone else...
Maybe Asuras?

Keia, if you still care (don't remember if you ever did), CloserS has their CBT up now, and there's a bunch of gameplay vids to fangasm over.

I don't remember you talking to me about this, but now I know where your old avatar and signature set came from.
It looks interesting, but I don't have any luck getting access to any closed beta tests for games.

That said, gameplay looks beautiful.

Now now, don't think too conventionally, Renose. We get another support person, and then just buff the hell out of Leifr so that he takes negative damage from everyone.

Negative Damage?
Leifr is so buffed up so much he becomes a masochist that gets healed when he takes damage?
Great. Now Renose'll never kill him and my other character ideas will always take a backseat to a masochistic Noble in a frilly tunic.

Why don't you guys just keep casting Haste / forcing a vial of liquefied Haste down Fiore's throat so that he's so fast he can stab every enemy in the heart, throat, and eyes as soon as combat begins. Thrice.

EDIT:
ERode said As he faced his companions though, he realized that, even as three monsters were rushing towards them, they were DISCUSSING what they were going to do.

“Why are you all even...” He made some flabbergasted, exasperated motion towards everything, before kicking his reins and saying,
“Let's just go.”

This is exactly what went through my mind as I wrote Leifr announcing his plans. I contemplated having Leifr just sheathe his sword, spin his horse around and then grab Lyrisa as he charges away from the enemies and calling back to Allereun and Fiore "GG, I'm out, and I'm taking the witch-girl with me. Let's meet up again at Calgeth if you survive lol."

But that sounded too mean and uncharacteristically selfish, so Leifr will make his attention known ("lol, 2many monsters, let's GG and quit guys before we get spawn-camped") and then in my next post actually snatching Lyrisa and running for the hills.
Leifr remained quiet throughout Lady Allereun's examination of the dead beasts and their attempts at preventing the female sword from leaving. Though Leifr would have undoubtedly joined in if all was well, he was more preoccupied examining the horses to make sure they were fit to run if needed. There was also Lady Allereun's theory of yet more creatures coming their way. Leifr also apparently didn't have much of a way with words looking back at his failed bluff with the bandits. Taking deep breaths to calm his nerves from the previous fight, he set his hand on his warhorse's face (which elicited an annoyed snort from the steed) and started planning on what he would do when they return to the town.

His thoughts were cut short when the sounds of a blade drawing from its sheathe echoed behind him. Spinning around just in time to see the woman stumble on poor footing and set upon by the beasts, Leifr quickly mounted his horse and prepared himself for more combat. His stance faltered slightly from the woman's cries as her body slumped, but was it because they had fought these creatures before that Lefir managed to regain his will? Whatever the case, Leifr felt his nerves easily ready for battle and his will steel against the sight of these monsters once more. On horseback, Leifr had an advantage against one or two and Fiore could easily handle one as he had shown before. Lyrisa apparently had training in using her weapon based on her stance and readiness to use it against some bandits, but her inexperience in combat seemed to hinder her. Not that it mattered, as her knowledge seemed to be above the rest: almost immediately after the creature appeared and spoke, she seemed capable of understanding its speech. When she said that it may be able to perform some dark arts, Leifr was more than just inclined to believe her.

Leifr grit his teeth as his grip on Honor squeezed tighter. Could he and Fiore battle four at once? Could a Galmin even fight against such unholy and unnatural arts as magic? His steed was anxious to move, tapping the ground impatiently with its hoof. To charge or to retreat; Leifr wanted the latter but was prepared for the former.

“If I may be so bold, Lady Lyrisa seems to understand what has happened to our missing friends and what these beasts are. If Lady Allereun's prediction about the one that led these foes here is true, then surely this is just an advance force; fighting them would only allow time for even more to find us.”

Leifr's eyes did not leave the creatures in front of them as they spoke, despite wincing whenever they fell upon the fallen woman. Leifr tried thinking of a way where he could quickly grab her and retreat, but his mind was drawing blanks.

“We should retreat back to Calgeth and deliver Lady Lyrisa's information to the Guard.”

Reminds me though. How does exhaustion and stuff factor in, Renose? Considering how Fiore and Leifr were both injured during the first fight, didn't even have a full night to recover, and then had to fight ANOTHER fight, followed by an upcoming third fight, back-to-back?

Pfft. Exhaustion.
Leifr's frilly noble tunic eats all of his exhaustion until he collapses, and Fiore has two consciousnesses: if one gets tired, the other can take over.
Plus, they keep getting lucky and maiming everyone they fight. One-hitting? Insta-killing? Three fights of those are nothing~

Realistically, Leifr and Fiore's Energy are probably reaching their limit before more noticeable symptoms of exhaustion start appearing. Especially since both have pretty low Energy scores in the first place...

Edit:
And I posted 56 minutes after I said I would. I'll work on lowering that number to the single digits~

All that fanfic that was wrote up is now obsolete.

Cursed Sword buddies forever, no matter how moot the route is.

Dammit, Keia better come back soon, or we'll really be just a party of two invalids and one person who still hasn't fully recovered from all that fighting...

And now I'm really back. Time to think of a post.
And I'm back! Now to read up on what I missed.
