Appearance Superhero/villain:
This or
this.
Frankly, if you paint two vertical red lines over your eyes ranging from your hairline to your jawline, as if a large red pause sign was painted on your face, then you would be bearing the symbol of Guanyin and would likely get a lot of policemen to surround your location.
Rivals or Friends:
Yoshimitsu: Guanyin Yvonne has recently encountered the shapeless weapons dealer during her retreat from the hijacked NTS station. Initial responses were wary but nonviolent as both were taken by surprise and didn't want to bring down the police force to their location. After they relocated to a more isolated position, Guanyin Yvonne commenced hostilities without reason and both sides suffered grievous wounds. During the battle, Guanyin Yvonne displayed a fascination with Yoshimitsu and promised him that they would meet again before incinerating both their bodies in a specialized, Guanyin-made HE grenade.
Powers:
Everything about Guanyin is a mystery. Whenever they are captured, they would tell a different story each time. Surprisingly, and perhaps terrifyingly, every story they speak of is usually true. However, when asked about their abilities, about how they are still alive even though people witnessed their countless deaths, they spin a tale and play around. When asked of their real name, they unhesitantly announce it and, like their stories, they are always true. Amazingly enough, even the people that have different genetic features, like hair and skin color, all act and say similar things. Asking witnesses would usually give the same answers as them, which make the authorities come up with three conclusions:
- Guanyin is a cult-like organization of fanatical terrorists.
- Guanyin is a superpowered entity like that can take control of many different bodies.
- Guanyin is a superpowered entity that can reincarnate herself into different bodies.
Another strange phenomenon is that Guanyin knows many things that they should not, for example police information networks, private corporation discussions, and other nonpublic information. The immense information network has been discovered to be due to Guanyin spies and moles planted everywhere and they are constantly being weeded out. However, their numbers are not thinning and their information acquisition is as fast as always.
Weapons/equipment/items:
If a human can obtain it, Guanyin uses it. The arsenal of a S.W.A.T. team? The firepower of the Chinese military? Home-made bombs? Just like the mythological Guanyin’s thousand arms, these Guanyins seems to have a thousand hands reaching into every person’s pocket everywhere in the world. It is a mind-boggling mystery on how an organization so hated by the public still manages to obtain so many resources.
Strength:
Guanyin’s strongest trait is the absence of their fear of death. Though they still unconsciously avoid pain, they act as if death has no hold over them. Their supernatural intelligence network and massive amount of resources make sure almost all members are well equipped and well informed for whatever situation.
Weaknesses:
Guanyins do not have any super powers. They are basically normal humans, though they have far more knowledge and equipment than any normal human would.
Backstory/Personality:
The villain Guanyin is extremely famous, simply due to how many times this axe-crazy terrorist has died and yet still manages to terrorize the world. Their unpredictable behavior also garnered attention, as unlike most criminals and villains they seem to do everything on a whim. Hostages, targets, escapes, suicides, murders... no one really knows what they will do until they do it. However, though famous, most media would rather cover other villains as, if everything goes Guanyin’s way, there are hardly any casualties. Even kidnapped persons are freed in relatively safe locations if Guanyin manages to get what they want. They are boring villains if there are no heroes or law enforcers nearby, but it’s a party otherwise.
