Avengers and Monster Hunter crossover, anyone?

I've had this idea in my head for awhile: let's grab some Marvel heroes, hand them giant swords, and pit them against epic dragons. It'll be awesome. And there will be plot. Loads of plot. What plot? Uh-uh, spoilers! But I can tell you this much:

During a battle gone horribly wrong, our heroes (whichever characters the players may choose) find themselves flung to a mysterious new world devoid of all their favorite amenities and overrun by humongous fire-breathing monsters! It's a good thing the elite Monster Hunter squad, the Ace Hunters, is there to get them out of their initial jam! But the Ace Hunters are a busy group running top secret missions for the Hunters' Guild, and the lost Avengers soon find themselves on a sand-skiff to the biggest city in the region, the caravaneers' paradise Val Habar... Will they ever find their way back to Earth to save the day? How will they function without the internet?! What the hell is a fulgurbug?!!

"I... what?! No! I was only...!" Rose stammered as the guards clapped a hand over her mouth and dragged her from the throne room. Presumably at this point she was headed for the dungeons, not home. Guards ran past in the opposite direction as the palace rumbled under the strain of the battle.

They tossed her in a small, dark room somewhere underground, and locked the metal door.

"Please, come back! What's happening! I didn't mean to do anything!" I was only trying to help...
