The parasites instinctively left the sloth corpse; causing it to drop on the ground. Motionless, like corpses were supposed to be, the sloth itself was no longer a threat. Both Ramza and Daniel had the right idea. Ramza's cape was an effective defence, and Daniel was indeed far quicker. However; Rugratz was not.
The parasites swarmed the giant, desperately seeking openings. Some tried to circumvent his leaf shield, others began to eat their way through it. Whatever the case; Rugratz would not be safe for long.
Meanwhile, the jar's contents had attracted the attention of one of the wasp monsters. As it approached, it would come to notice the librarians. Specifically; Deneaerys, whom had summoned her armour and used a defensive technique similar to Ramza. The giant wasp fearlessly attacked her, and a stinger at the size of a small sword found itself below the woman's chest. Within seconds; she began to swell up at skin-tearing speed and volumes. As the wasp's weapon was pulled from between Deneaerys' ribs, the swelling squeezed out the woman's blood; squirting it out of her wound like a small fountain.
The wasp itself however, quickly turned to it's next target; Daniel. It raised it's altitude before attempting to swoop in and give him the same treatment as Deneaerys...

Emily's dagger cut through the visor, and without further resistance, she was able to plant her dagger into Sean. Emily wouldn't need to confirm her kill, as mere seconds after her attack, Steve vanished from existence; freeing Vignar from it's embrace.
Even with one threat gone, there still was Valor. Emily, acting like a human cushion, managed to break the brunt of Fran's fall, but both women would be lucky if they only got away with some bruising. Furious at Emily, Valor now raised all it's chains and focused only on her; preparing to slam them all down with all the force it could muster...
