Kinzo wears the regular garb of a Kaminari Tribe Shinobi, preferring to wear light clothing beneath his flak jacket. He has never particularly cared for what colors his clothing is, though he tends to stay within the blue spectrum as they are readily available. He leaves his hands completely bare, sacrificing a potential boost to grip strength and some protection in favor of preventing a potential decrease in handseal speed. 

Like other members of his clan he does his best to make sure he is always presentable, keeping his hair washed and well groomed, ensuring that his clothes are in good shape, etc. While he has strayed from many aspects of the clan he still takes pride in the state of his appearance. 

The most obvious characteristic is yet another that he shares with his clan, that being his black eyes. Unlike most differently colored eyes his are not due to a doujutsu, just a simple quirk of genetics.

【Personality】. 
An Obedient Soldier
Kinzo believes strongly in the chain of command and he follows orders as close to the letter as physically possible. If required he would place the success of his mission/completion of his orders above his own survival. 

Loyal Comrade
He is incredibly loyal to those he fights beside, doing everything he can to ensure their survival. Given that he is primarily a mid to long range combatant he rarely will leap in front of an attack, simply because he is too far to do so, but he will use his range to protect from a distance. 

Off Duty Compartmentalization
While he is able to follow orders without hesitation when he has downtime he lets himself relax, push all of the things he has to do while on duty to the back of his mind. He is just another bloke, drinking with his comrades, shooting the breeze, etc. 

Hard Worker
Kinzo has never been a prodigy, but due to dedicating himself to his training he has dragged himself above the averageness that plagues his clan. It was never his intent to become more than bland, he just enjoyed training. It felt good to watch his abilities improve. 

Nice but Regular
Far from a fly on the wall, Kinzo does fall short of being the life of the party. He is nice enough, but he isn’t super charming or lively. It’s nice to have him around, but he isn’t the first person you’d ask to a party and certainly wouldn’t throw one himself.

【History】
For a good chunk of his life, Kinzo was just another member of the Uragiri clan. Sure he stood out a little because he was stronger than average due to the additional time spent training, but overall he was just another bland member of a bland clan. He joined the ranks of the shinobi serving the Kaminari Tribe at a typical age. After joining his first squad he continued to just be an Uragiri. 

It wasn’t until he had attained the rank of Chunnin that he began to separate away from his clan. Even then it wasn’t an immediate or quick transition. For the first year of being Chunnin things progressed as normal. One day however he was placed on a squad lead by the current chief’s heir as well as a couple of others. It was a routine mission and everything went according to plan. They accomplished their goal and were beginning the trek back. That is when things headed south rapidly. 

They had only made it a quarter of the way back when they were ambushed by a group of ninja from one of the other tribes. The formation Kinzo’s squad had been traveling in had him positioned in the back and a distance away from the other three, they were close range specialists while he excelled at mid to long range. His squad was doing an admirable job at defending themselves for the first portion of the fight. However they were outnumbered and steadily were getting pushed back. With the enemy shinobi grouping up, they presented a perfect target for Kinzo. Using his Lightning Violent Rat Quake he quickly helped turned the tide of the fight back in his squads favor. Each disk hit its intended target, some managing to outright kill while those that weren’t fatal still managed to disoritent the combatants enough for his team to land killing blows. 

The rest of the journey progressed without issue and upon the squad leader, the heir, delivering his report Kinzo received a summon to speak with the Kaminari himself. When he appeared before the tribal leader he was not the only one there, as one of the other members of his squad was present. They both were informed that they would be receiving the knowledge of how to use Black Lightning for their service to the tribe. 

Receiving the Black Lightning signified the start of Kinzo branching away from the rest of his clan. When the Kaminari Tribe as a whole had learned about him acquiring the Black Lightning technique they began to integrate him more. He began taking on more missions against the other tribes directly, supporting his comrades. As he spent time with them he pulled away from the Unagiri’s belief system and adopted a belief in the Raijin. While he was regarded as a bit strange among his clan, they didn’t ignore him or look down on him. He was just different. 

Two years have passed since then, and in that time things have remained relatively the same. Kinzo, along with a few other members of the tribe, have been sent to Amegakure though the exact reason why was not fully explained.

Nature Type: Lightning
Description: This technique is used exclusively by the members of the Kaminari Tribe. The knowledge of how to perform it is given to those who have done a great service to the tribe. While the technique is completely cosmetic in nature, simply making it so the user capable of changing the color of their lightning from blue to black, its purpose is to be used as a type of badge of honor.

Nature Type: Lightning
Description: By activating this jutsu the user converts a large portion of their chakra into the lightning nature. Unlike LRA this jutsu does not increase the user's physical abilities in any fashion. Instead it grants them higher control and manipulation of Lightning. While using this jutsu the user is able to freely throw out bolts of lightning in a rapid fashion. As they are not molded by handseals the lightning strikes are not as strong and can only be used in a limited range. In addition while under the affects of this technique the user is able to redirect Lightning Jutsu that they are the target off.

Description: After the user completes the handseals black lightning bolts begin striking the designated area repeatedly. Besides choosing the general area of the strikes the user has no control over the lightning, which means it is dangerous to friend and foe alike if they are in the area. The technique is restricted to a 25m diameter circle. This technique is chakra intensive, if Kinzo plans on continuing to fight he can only use it twice in a battle. Additionally concentration is required to keep the jutsu going, so it can be ended prematurely if he is forced to lose focus.

Type of Jutsu: Supplementary
Rank: C
Range: Mid to Long
Nature Type: Lightning
Description: By channeling his chakra into a kunai or shuriken he is able to coat them in a layer of Black Lightning. This acts as a regular Lightning chakra enhanced weapon would, increasing the piercing effect of the associated weapon and causing numbness where they hit. The numbness lasts briefly if the weapon only grazes the target or pierces through them, however if the weapon is embedded into the target the numbness will last until it is removed and for a short time after depending on how long it was lodged inside of them.

Goblin Barth

Day 1 & Day 4

Day 1- The Beginning

Barth rolled onto his side, ignoring the growing light as he tried to remain asleep. He had just woken on his first day of life and he was far from ready to interact with the world. He barely had the strength to roll, let alone move any of his limbs. Everything felt heavy and fragile. For a moment he thought he heard chitter chatter, but it vanished as soon as it started. He could no longer remain conscious, the simple effort of rolling had exhausted his diminutive reserves. Within moments he was drifting back into dreamland. 

Day 4

Time passed in a series of featureless dreams, since he had never opened his eyes he had not yet established an image bank to pull from for when he slumbered. Barth slept for a total of three days straight, his body growing and strengthening the entire time albeit at a slower rate than the other Goblins who had woken earlier than him. Finally his eyes opened which caused him to blink rapidly as he attempted to adjust to the sudden intrusion of light. 

Once he was used to the gift of sight he rose off of the ground, stretching his arms above his head. Barth then took his first steps, moving towards the edge of the cave at a regular pace. From the spot he had been sleeping he could see the greenery of plant life, and it was calling to him. He barely took note of the fact that the cave was largely empty of young Goblins such as himself, too focused on his task. 

Exiting from the cave caused Barth’s face to break into a wide grin as he moved off to the side. Dropping to his knees he began examining the plant life near the base of a tree, enjoying the feel of the leaves and stems beneath his fingers.
