Would it be possible be in training under a more senior jedi? Or have A sort of npc follower?

If you were a full fledged Jedi or Master Jedi, you were killed. Jedi's in training are the highest ranking Jedi at this point. If you want, you could be the Jedi to restart the Jedi Order, your master telling you of a world to escape to

Sure, cool!

Maybe I'll shift a bit. Maybe my characters goal is to rebuild his family's shipwright business. It'd be cool because he'd be after ship skematics and parts etc. which would give him an interesting relationship with pretty much anyone he met.

Exactly, like I said, you guys can do whatever you want. But to make things easier, you could try and get schematics off of the Organization and even ask them for help for Shipyard's. Also, Schematics won't be extremely hard to find, at least fighter schematics. Random traders or even players could start with some.

If we get two more, I'll start up the IC. Thanks for taking interest guys
Padawan's and Jedi's in training are all that are left of the Jedi Order, so I don't know the general plot. I can authorize a freighter or transport for you to inherit, but not even the Republic Remnants or Sith/Imperial Remnants could take anything. They all made a hasty retreat to somewhere safe. All the major shipyards were destroyed, including any near the planets that were destroyed or set to ruin. You could say shipyard's are an endangered species until rebuilt. One of the two generic shipyard's have a shipyard that can build Acclamator sized ships, and the major Shipyard owned by an Organization has one shipyard that can build Star Destroyer sized ships. The problem, however, is that only the Organization has any designs or schematics of ships 500+ meters, and they are near generic, and only two. Not to mention they don't go over 700 meters. Enough for individuals to make an adequate fleet.

Plus with most credits destroyed, the price of things have gone down, but credits are harder to come by, so bartering is back online, so to speak.
I have no problem with that at all, it just wouldn't be the original Republic, or the original Sith, if you know what I mean.

So you'd have the ideology of the formers, perhaps same or similar values and such, but the original still exist, they just stopped going on the offensive. If you could get a pure alliance with the Republic Remnants, they may give you access to their ship designs and schematics. Currently the Republic Remnants, Imperial Remnants, and Sith Remnants (In this roleplay the Sith will be referring to the Sith Order, like the Jedi Order, where the darkside is practiced and had control over the Empire) hold the ship designs to the most powerful ships. Padawans, and especially Jedi's in training, would have the designs and schematics to certain Jedi-specialized ships. Jedi's in training would have knowledge of ancient (From the Old Republic era) ships, this way they are not stuck somewhere randomly, they just need someone to build them ships.

Gisk, you would have knowledge of the original Crucible, Hammerhead-class Cruiser, and the Whitecloak Fighter.

Depending where you are, it could be fairly easy to get someone to build you one of these ships, or near impossible. There will be two generic ship manufacturers left, and one major that will also be an Organization (neutral towards Republic/Empire).

Those who have designs and schematics know how to retrofit "current" weaponry/equipment on the older ships. "Current" meaning the technology era they were thrown back to.
When the roleplay can be booted, I'll allow certain things. Some Jedi, maybe Sith (species), dark Jedi, I will allow a couple fleshed out organizations, etc. But I want to see if the general idea interests anyone.

Which one does not have to try and discover what happened or what caused the event, one could try to find all the designs and materials to build the superweapons that once ruled the galaxy and try to control it. I personally think it's almost limitless to what one can do.

I see a soldier story, a roleplay story to discover something, a mission to try and be the best, try to restore an old organization, restore fallen species, trade, pirate, etc.

Everyone has become extremely weakened, so pirates are at an all time high without many threats, someone could be a police force.
I'm going by the map system, for technical details like that I may be looking for a GM for the position. I do plan to have one or two. I have great ideas, but I need managers if you know what I mean.

All major Jedi are gone. You could have been a Jedi in training, just didn't receive your last bit of training, which would be helpful to train padawans.

In the Legacy era, things are drastically different, but yet the same. Again, the Galactic Empire attempts to raise itself as it always does. Tables are turned, friends are betrayed; no one can be trusted anymore. One last attempt to get rid of the hatred, one last chance to get rid of the lingering Republic; it was to be the largest battle, and hopefully the last. But the wars had waged on for too long, lives being lost for petty reasons. Civil wars, slaughtering of innocents, it was going to end. Just not the way anyone planned. All the mightiest of warships were gathered, the battle space being held over Coruscant. The sky upon Coruscant lit up red and green and other colors, the sun becoming blocked out by the fleets. Both sides taking brutal damage, but then it became quiet. Some thought they had gone deaf, some thought they were just in shock. Then, some sort of light, an indescribable color, and then there was nothing. In an instant, the sound, the environment, everything came back. It was a rush, freaking everyone out. Explosions, everywhere. Fighters and ships, one after another, suddenly imploding for no reason. Some tried to retreat, but it didn't matter. Then the planet of Coruscant, its surface going up in flames and smoke, its cities destroyed. There was no where to run.

It didn't just happen on Coruscant. Major Jedi's, Sith, Imperial Soldiers and bases, Rebel soldiers and bunkers, all erupting or catching fire. Not only the Empire or Republic were affected either. Any and all major military's were annihilated. Some leaving behind ruin or just charred remains of what once was. The war had ended, for everyone.

The year is 47 ABY, almost 8 years after the last war and the annihilation of major military's and organizations. What remains is little, the most that remains is the older military technology dating back to around 10 ABY and earlier. The technology of this galaxy had been pushed backwards in time, and anyone who held schematics or information on newer technology could be seen as a god among men, for they would have the power to dominate the battlefronts. The Republic, major hutt rulings, the Empire, they were all gone. Very, very few survived. Perhaps less than 5% of each survived. For the Jedi, only Padawans live. The Sith, or Dark Jedi, it is unknown. Several planets turned to dust and desert.... uninhabitable, worthless, unbreathable and perhaps even dangerous.

What will happen now? Technically considered included as an Infinity era, this time time takes place after the beginning of the Legacy era, but the most common technology being almost set back to the battle of Yavin. This does not discontinue newer technology, but it is exceedingly hard to find. Most say that Imperial and Republic remnants hold the last remaining data for what was considered 'current' technology, or at least, military technology. Will new organizations rise up? Will the rest of the galaxy figure out what happened? Or will things just never change...

The Republic Remnants have taken claim to Mygeeto, whereas the Imperial Remnants have taken claim to Mustafar.

The Republic Remnants have militarized and began rebuilding Mygeeto. Most species that lived on Coruscant now reside on Mygeeto as a homeworld, but Dantooine is increasingly becoming more popular, but it is still considered a 'civilian' planet. Mustafar is now the Imperial Remnants and/or Sith's homeworld.

This means that Sith or Imperials will most likely start 'fresh' on Mustafaar and Ordinary people or Republic Remnants with start 'fresh' on Mygeeto or Dantooine. This is not required nor is one required to start 'fresh.'

Planets destroyed or set to desolate waste;
Coruscant
Hoth
Tatooine
Felucia
Kamino
Geonosis
Utapau
Endor
Kashyyk
Bespin
Naboo
Yavin 4
Hapes
Corellia
Kuat
Mon Calamari
Rodia
Nar Shaddaa
Bothawui
Byss

The point of this roleplay would be, well, make your own story and not be forced to do one thing or another. The setting is that most, if not all, major planets with the ability of constructing several ships at a time or large ships (and high grade technology) are gone. Reverting back technology to less planet killing ways and more ship countering, for the most part. While military technology has been set far back, civilian and trade technology is still high enough to nearly the New Republic era. This roleplay will encourage old and new style ships of all kinds due to most high grade technology to be hard to find, essentially making Old Republic era ships very useful since that technology is mastered. You can either strive for your own Empire style Organization, your own organization of any kind, try to revive the Republic with your own style of Republic, bounty hunt, or anything. If you want to discover what happened, then you can do that too. But there are some on the quest for what caused the massive destruction, seeing it as a power worth while to control, or a power that needs to be destroyed or guarded. What will be on your journey?
As a reminder, in this kind of galaxy now, there is no one to baby you or carry you along. If you're not a part of the Major Org, even being a part of the pirates or Republic or Sith, you'll probably have to get a lot of stuff yourself. Your credits, inventory, discoveries, everything little is important. But with being a random spacer gives you limitless possibilities. I was just talking to someone and telling them an example of one thing they could do. Every play KotOR 2? Be in a freighter that was damaged while on its way to Coruscant or something, ship is heavily damaged and you've lost your memory and there's someone else in the freighter with you, but they are dead. Or you're alone and an escape pod is gone. You were on a planet, fighting the Empire but not a part of the Rebels, maybe a local, and you witnessed the flash of light and then the Rebels and the Imperial soldiers began to burn. Literally, just run it through here and I'll more than likely let it go through. You can try out anything you want here, look at it as a sandbox. The Major Organization is probably the strongest Organization right now (But it doesn't have a fuckton of ships, just has the ability to make good ships), you don't have to look at it as the invincible freedom fighters of the galaxy. Fight it, take it on if you want, capture their stuff. Be one of the minor Orgs. It's been 8 years, did you make a small clone or droid army? What ships do you have access to. In the end it comes down to; What will you do?

Just a few examples of what you could do

I'm the guy on the left. He's older and cooler.

Harold had finished some paperwork on some ships and others going by, keying in times, dates, reasons, the normal things. He preferred doing the simple things so that his officers could deal with more pressing issues. This wasn't to say Harold was lazy; he was old, not lazy. But his Officers were faster and more reliable on a computer, especially when there was only one of him. He had just finished the last document as he entered it into his ships datalogs when he decided to stretch and take a walk for a bit. He exited his office and headed for the bridge to see how his men were doing. By this time he only had his most trusted officers at the helm of his ships and his others at other menu's throughout the ship doing check up duty or patrol. Upon entering the bridge he noticed the officers were gossiping and they immediately hushed when he entered. "Uh, Captain on deck!" one shouted, "at ease," Harold said. By this point this cliche was simply a formality as he didn't care or force it among his trusted men, but they felt like they still had a place even with their newfound purpose. "So what did I miss? Did I hear talk about women and cognac?" There was a pause, the cold silence that only emitted menu noises and slow, but soft, button presses. "Well speak up, because I've been rather lonely too!" Harold grinned as he started to laugh, his officers unable to keep their silence as they laughed as well. One spoke up as Harold took his steps towards what everyone called 'Den's Window' the window he would always look out through to see his mission objective or goal, the ship as specifically positioned for the view. "Why don't you grab one of the lady troopers you have, Captain? I'm sure there's plenty when you're captain!" The men laughed again but Harold spoke up firmly as he stared out. "No! I have many women aboard this ship compared to others, but that doesn't mean we treat them as tools or property." The men felt scolded as they quited down, feeling they crossed the line. "They are equal to us, men. Men of the Galactic Empire. And only I can treat them as tools and property! Because this is the Galactic Empire!" That killed it, it even raised the guards laughter by the doors, no one could hold it in. It was a quick and swift joke from the Captain, and since he was already containing the laughter before he finished it, the laughter soon extinguished itself as the others kept laughing. However, now, Harold wouldn't be laughing as he saw something in the distance. Some sort of ship? He questioned why it wasn't being escorted by any fighters or why there weren't any fighters heading towards it.

As soon as the laughter slowed to a stop, Harold, keeping his eyes on the vessel, walked over to the men, behind their consoles. "There, what is that ship doing? Why haven't any of you hailed it or stopped it? Someone explain to me why we're not checking on that ship." The men lost their silly moment and got serious, some not even knowing what was going on went searching to find an answer. "It uh, it gave us clearance codes sir." "What do you mean, clearance codes? Officer, you do know we were given specific orders to stop and check every ship that enters or leaves, right?" "Yes Captain, but these codes basically are telling us that they are under orders from someone higher than us, maybe even the governor." Harold gave an odd face, a confused look as to why he would be given such orders and then have ships like these, as long as they had their special codes, being given unrestricted access. Harold wasn't exactly surprised as he has known the Empire has its secret ways, even in the Republic they had secrets. But this didn't seem right. What was so important or valuable that would allow these ships through. "I'm going to head to my office, I'll be back later. If any of you find any information on those ships, send them to me." As Harold turned towards one of the exits to the bridge, he yelled back at his Officers just before leaving, "I'll bring the cognac when I come back." He hurried to his office, wanting to know why lower individuals get to go over his orders... again. It felt just like the Republic. The Jedi only needed a little training for a little time and they could take control of entire fleets out of nowhere; it developed a distrust for them, also making him dislike it as he would work so hard for a high position only to be belittled. He wasn't going to be belittled like that again.

Upon reaching his office, he immediately closed his door, activating the sound proofing inside and grabbing his chair, activating his monitor. As soon as he turned it on, the information the Officers found were coming in, but they were useless information. He kept scouring through what the Officers found, it was all just datalogs, similar to what he was doing earlier. Shipments... shipments were coming in from these transports. Days, times, dates, ETA's, all useless, everything else listed as classified or otherwise. However, although it was useless, it was the only information available. Harold would soon discover that there was basically no information on these ships, but there had to be. To be given special clearance codes there needs to be a reason and Harold was going to find out, and he didn't care what kind of trouble it would get him into. He started to scour through other files, files kept by personnel, some of his soldiers, even looking through files held by the Governor and other ship Captains, even looking at commanders down on the ground for information, but he found nothing. What could they be hiding he thought. But then he paused, peering at his monitor as he felt he found something, and he did. Files, records of an Imperial asking questions about the transports. He pulled up her file to look through it as he read through the records. An Imperial Security Soldier, which seemed logical as the transports could be seen as a break of security which would be cause for concern. But it doesn't seem like there's quite much. All the information he could find seems to stop at the mines. Isn't that where the Rebels are? Trump's there too. He pulled his commlink from his pocket and activated it. "Bridge, Captain Den to the Bridge. Listen, I need a Scout Trooper team be sent to the ground" He continued, closing his monitor and deactivating the sound proofing, leaving. "Prep them immediately to meet me in the hangar." He didn't rush, as he had to stop by a storage room for a recording device. However, under the circumstances, he felt this disconnected communication was futile as to what he was doing. He grabbed a holocommunicator from the storage room and grabbed a Trooper from outside, "Uh, yes sir??" The trooper was startled as he was grabbed. "Soldier, could you get this to the hangar immediately? There are some Scout Troopers being prepped to land on the planet, give it to them." "Understood, Captain!" And with that, he released the soldier from his grip and the Trooper turned to start dashing down the corridor, heading to the Hangar as fast as he could.

Harold pulled out his personal comm once more, "This is Captain Herald to the bridge. Are those Scout Troopers ready yet? There's been a change of plans. I've sent a Stormtrooper with something to the Hangar, have the Scouts meet with this Trooper before leaving. The Scout Troopers mission is to get that device to at AT-ST pilot 'Sergeant Caddock.' Tell him to contact Harold Dennison as soon as possible. After that, they are to return aboard this ship. The Transport taking them is to await their return unless told otherwise by myself. If someone else higher than me says otherwise, tell them they have to take it up with me. Captain Den out." He wouldn't lie, he was worked up a bit. This whole situation bringing up bad memories of the past, immediately losing command of anything as soon as he worked hard enough to grab it, he was pissed. But he knew he required a clear head for what would soon come, so he retreated to his quarters. Before walking into his room, he stopped an Officer patrolling the corridor. "Report to the Bridge, Officer. if any soldier needs me, tell them if it's not an emergency, then they can wait. Understood? Just hold the bridge until I return, anything happens, you wake me? Is that understood." The officer nodded in a way that he understood the Captain was a little stressed and needed to cool off. Maybe thinking he sometimes needed it too. "I understand Captain, have a good rest." "Yeah," Harold said, before walking into his quarters, locking his door and going in search of his bed.
