The Apollo Cabin, The Infirmary

Kiran was barely able to get settled down before someone woke her up. In her half asleep state, she initially thought it was Apollo himself, but quickly realized it was her second in command. "Uh, hey Kiran?" He nervously nudged the lounging councilor. "What do you want, Devin?" She groaned. "Do you mind taking over my shift over at the infirmary? I promised Ashley that I would meet up with her for a walk along the beach," He pleaded. "Sure," the half Indian girl sighed, "Go have fun with your girlfriend." Her half brother perked up and gave her an earful of thanks before exiting the cabin. It didn't take much to wake Kiran up, she simply focused of her tasks ahead and pushed forward.

The daughter of Apollo walked into the infirmary to releave the person on duty. Her sister reported some of the things that happened, which wasn't much. Then she gave her the run down on a couple patients who just came in. Throughout the exchange, Kiran nodded and interviened with a couple questions. Then, the other girl finally left. Kiran set up shop, organizing things the way she wanted before checking in on the patients that were in beds dressed with off white sheets. There were four kids at the moment. Only one was suffering from any major wounds. She made sure he got a dose of nectar in the right amount, and at the right time. There have been a few cases of people lying about how much necter or ambrosia they've had in order to get more, and there has even been a couple of unfortunate souls who got addicted to the godly food and drink and overdosed. While it was still given out freely, there were some campers they had to watch out for.

Kiran sat around, visiting with a couple patients who had some simple wounds. Every so often a camper would come in for a cut or a bruise. In these instances, the kind nurse gave them a bandaid, or an ointment, and sent them on their way. She enjoyed talking with the other demigods, and helping them out. It made her feel useful. Checking the paperwork that lay on a desk in an office like room, Kiran noticed that Ky'vie Morgan needed to check in within the next three days since she just got back from a mission. So that's why there were so many people on Half-Blood Hill this morning. Well, that and the new kid, but hey, that answered quite a few questions. All the kids on the hill were friends with Ky'vie.

Speaking of Ky'vie's friends, Arianna needed to get her meds from Kiran. Hopefully, the bright girl wouldn't have to track down the free spirited female. There has been quite a few times were Arianna had forgotten to take her medicine and Kiran had to search high and low for the firey girl. Kiran was good friends with her and would hate to see anything bad happen on account of something that could be controlled, but wasn't.

Sighing, the Apollo councilor looked at the clock to see how much time she had. She was about halfway through her shift. A growl from her stomach reminded her that she hadn't eaten yet. This was going to be a long second half.
Jessica was startled by the zombie outbreak. It wasn't supposed to happen so quickly! She had been in the middle of a college visit, when the apocalypse started. Naturally, in such a densely populated area the plauge would spread fast. The tour group broke up in terror from the gruesome once college students. Immediately, her and her parents headed to the car. It was safer than out in the open. Her mother was the least athletic person in the family, so it was only a matter of time before she died. However, upon hearing her mother's screams a sense of terror filled Jessica. Not because she enjoyed her presence, but because she realized that this wasn't a special effect or prank. When her and her father reached the car, they saw that another car had crashed into it, making it unusable.

"Fuck, fuck, fuck," Jess mumbled to herself, requesting her father to pop the trunk. Inside was her bokken. She kept it there in case she needed it for taekwondo class. However, it was useful in this situation too. She grabbed her backpack from the backseat, and turned to her father, but he was already half eaten in an attempt to distract the zombies from her own carelessness. Tears stung the back of her eyes, but the Asian female physically and mentally slapped herself in the face. There was a reason he died and she didn't want to put it to waste. She had to think quick, where to go? Well, she needed better weapons and food. Weapons first. Chinatown in Chicago was interesting and one of the reasons for that is the neat Asian objects it sold. And in Jessica's opinion, Asia made the best melee weapons. Perfect for the zombie apocalypse. Quiet, effective, and never runs out of bullets.

Unfortunately, the Nebraskan didn't know her way around Chicago, so first she needed a map. She started running in the direction she vaguely remembered was the way they came from on the way to the college.

After a long time of sneaking, whacking, and stabbing, the teen found a touristy store. They were bound to have a map. She opened the door, but cringed as a bell rang from the action. All the zombies in the area looked at her. Jessica managed to grab a map located by the door before booking it out of there. The zombies grabbed at her jacket flying behind her.

She quickly looked around and saw a narrow alley with stairs that descended downwards, while it might trap her, it would be good for limiting the number of zombies she'd have to fight at once. She ran towards the stairs before jumping down them in two strides. She noticed doors at the bottom and tried to open them. They were locked. Jessica vigorously knocked on them, "Hey, assholes, let me in!" She yelled, her powerful alto voice booming through the stairwell. Her powerful lungs came from being the only alto who actually sang in choir, so she had to compensate for the others. Then, she presses her back against the wall and started swinging and stabbing at zombies. Their rotten flesh made it easier to rip though. The gore made Jessica's head spin. Oh god, not now. She never was good with real innards. It didn't consciously deter her, but she couldn't help the dizziness that overcame her.

When the door finally opened, the nauseous asian stumbled backwards into the bar. She fell on her butt, just as the door was closed behind her. Black spots spread in her vision before she laid down and promptly passed out for a brief moment before forcing her eye open to check around her for zombies. Even though her eyes were open, Jessica could only see a little bit, as if she were looking through a filter, and no, not the Instagram kind. Giving up, she closed her eyes and breathed for awhile. She felt almost sleepy, and the sounds around her were muffled. Hopefully whatever opened the door was human.
So the doors are locked?
I was thinking of having a second in command for the Apollo cabin for whenever Kiran is busy, and I just want to know how far to develop him. He'd probably be a reoccurring character, and I wanted your opinion on that.
Hey, just wondering how detailed can we made background characters?
@BubbleGumKing
Ah, sweet. I'm pretty much a giant nerd when it comes to biology. Plus, who can go wrong with experiments? Or blowing stuff up? Or dangerous chemicals?
- Name: Jessica

- Age: 16

- Appearance:

I'm half Chinese and half Caucasian. 5'3" tall and weight approx 120 lbs. My upper body is thin, but my lower body is more muscled. I usually wear a tank top or t-shirt under a light zip up jacket that's either grey or black. Usually said jacket has holes, though the current one has black acid stains from Chemistry class. I prefer to wear jeans, or jean shorts in hot weather and converse or flip flops depending on the weather as well.

- Physicality: I'm not brutally strong, but since I take taekwondo I'm in fairly good shape. My technique is more effective in bringing force than my muscles. In general, I can push myself to pretty great lengths if I have the motivation. In terms of running, I can either run rather fast in short bursts or slowly for a long time. As compared to others I can run very well on uneven surfaces and can rock climb fairly well due to many fall and summer breaks spent in Colorado. Plus, due to many years of dance, I'm very flexible, but my flexibility is slowly retreating because of my lack of stretching.

- Personality: I'm an INTP who views the big picture when it comes to work and effort. However, if I find something fun and exciting, I tend to gravitate towards it despite the consequences. I have an overall pessimistic view of the world, believing that all problems could be solved with the eradication of the human race. I tend to be a tad violent and rough with my friends, but am polite to strangers. In terms of romance, I'm not the kind of teenager to go around dating, but instead am waiting for the right time and person to bump into me. Plus I'm quite a bit sassy and sarcastic at times and never discriminate when it comes to insulting others, all in good fun, though. Maybe. For the most part. I can also be very forgiving and laid back

- Lifestyle: I was born in Omaha, Nebraska and have lived in the same house my whole life. My mother has a very Asian mind set, creating a lot of pressure for me. Usually I barely need to try when it comes to school work, but ever since high school my grades have been dropping. I'm currently enrolled in the International Baccalaureate program. My HL (higher level) classes are English, Chemistry, and Math while my SL (standard level) classes are History, Spanish, and Biology. My extra classes are Psychology and Choir. I'm still unsure of what I will study in college or the college I will be going to. However, I'm leaning towards the Biochemical area. Perhaps a Biochemical engineer?

- Why you're here?: I live in America, but I'm in Chicago because my parents wanted to go on college visits, and Chicago isn't too far away. Plus my mother likes the China Town in Chicago.

- Skills: I'm a green advanced belt in taekwondo, however my "dojo" (I use this term lightly) also teaches aikido, jujitsu, judo, pressure points, joint locks, and basically most major forms of Martial arts including a bit of weaponry. I can cook fairly well as long as I have a recipe, and I'm also very musically talented. My writing skills are pretty good, and my art skills are decent if given enough time. I'm also a stealth master, after an entire childhood of sneaking around, one learns the tricks of the trade.

- Possessions: Motorola moto GG phone, Doctor Who lanyard with keys, Wallet (Contains ID, recipets, $10 gift card to Starbucks from last Christmas, approx, $50 in cash, and anb old ticket to a basketball game), a black cheap bokken that at least looks pretty, a 3 ft cylindrical wooden pole approx 1 cm in diameter, a blue and silver USB drive, and a large black backpack filled with school supplies, wrappers, some junk food, and a TI-Nspire calculator. Honestly, though, I've been eyeballing some sweet melee weapons such as a double hook sword, a deer horned knife, and a saber claw.

Kiran Khanna

Kiran's stared out of the window at the trees that sped by. Her trip had exhausted her. The usually bright girl sighed as she thought about her future. Of course being a minor ment that she had no choice in the matter, however soon enough she'd be able to make her own choices. Nonetheless, Kiran's mother was still trying to get her daughter back. Every meeting was filled with fake smiles and small talk until the door shut. Then came the bombardment of questions, the pleading, and the desperation. It was pathetic. A fully grown woman needed to act like one even under stress. You can't just break form, otherwise you'll fall. It was the same as fighting.

Kiran inhaled sharply and stretched as best as she could in the small cab. It was the same old thoughts running through her head as usual. The musical girl needed something to perk her spirits up. So, she closed her eyes and started to hum to herself. Kiran kept the beat by tapping her foot. She hummed a song about her father, Apollo. It had been awhile since they had talked. Being a god came with a lot of responsibility, so it was understandable. But just remembering her father made her smile. The sun shining on her face throught the window felt so good on her skin.

Finally, the cab stopped, and the driver called out over his shoulder to the girl lost in her own little world. "We're here ma'am," Kiran opened her eyes a bit startled before smiling. "Thank you," She replied, fishing the money her mother gave her as an attempted bribe. Quickly the girl gave him the money and hopped out of the cab with her backpack. It was full of food and supplies just in case she was attack while outside the camp. Khryseis was slung over her back, probably looking increadably weired to mortals. With a wave the driver made a U turn and drove off.

The daughter of Apollo set off at a leisurely pace towards home sweet home. Along the way, her mind wandered here and there. A couple of times suspicious noises made her jump into a fighting mentality, only for an animal to scurry out from their hiding spot.

Once she finally got to the entrance of camp, she noticed a large group of campers standing on top of the hill. Kiran knew all except one of them. He must be new. After all, Kiran knew everyone. Usually, she'd go and say hi, but it seems as though he had enough company. Plus the Indian girl needed to toss her things into the cabin, and hope it hadn't burn down while she was gone. (Which was a serious possibility, it would have happened one time if Claire hadn't been nearby.) So, Kiran waved to the group with a quick "Hey," before passing them by. She was in charge of a larger cabin, well at least larger than some, and with that came responsibility.

Luckily the cabin had not broke down or caught on fire, but there had been a bit of a scuffle while she was gone. Apparently, the two half brothers were still harboring ill will towards each other. Kiran dropped her stuff beside her bed before confronting the two about their behavior. After listening to both sides of the story, she realized it was simply a miscommunication error and quickly solved the problem. However, since they broke one of the bunk beds in the process, they were stuck with cleaning the cabin. After all was well in Cabin Eleven, Kiran flopped down on her bed for perhaps a quick nap.
Thanks, I'll get one up as soon as possible.
