...yeah I think I just lost all hope to ever come up with an original idea again. Apparently literally everything has been done somewhere, somewhen before. Oh well, if I'm already guilty of telepathic idea theft, I might as well snag a quote or two from there. I love the one about walls.
Don't be so hard on yourself! Originality is less reinventing the wheel or creating/thinking of something that's never been thought of before, and more the process of putting a new spin on a gathered set of basics. Really, much too ambitiously proposing something entirely new and different and pushing it onto people is often worse than just going with what works and adjusting things to be "your own".
Leotamer, there are a few people (such as myself and Imperfectionist) that are late to the party :P. In my case, I've just been wracking my brain—and dousing said brain in several cups of coffee—for the past five or so hours to get my character sheet finished.
I don't care that Coffee is a beverage, it's one of the essential food groups. Sheet still underway.
