The same question Ian asks himself every day.

Lyall sifted through the contents of Aerund's bag, hoping to find something significant that pertained to the three Shadow Duelists. Instead, he was met with random trinkets, candy bars, and fish magazines. Awesome! Now he could learn all about fish and underwater ecosystems! Lyall huffed and rolled his eyes in disappointment, plopping the magazines back into the bag.

"Useless..."

When he said this though, he noticed a nice little enveloped had slipped out from the pages. Huh... okay, now this was going somewhere! He lifted up to the light and opened it, pulling out a single piece of paper. It was a letter signed by some doctor named Delenaere, but it was short. It didn't say anything other than he was leaving somewhere and was enclosing a card within the envelope. Curious to see what it was, Lyall opened the envelope once more, pulling out a card. Before he could see it though, his attention was interrupted by a voice announcing the falling ill of one "Cybell Yvenstar's" opponent and his replacing with Sandra. And the closet light popped too, making it pitch black, the only light coming from the narrow space under the door.

"Ugh..."

Lyall folded up the letter with the card inside before placing it back in the envelope. Putting that in his inner coat pocket, he left the bag in a corner and exited the small room, quickly making his way to the dueling stages.

"Well there's two familiar faces..."

He obviously already knew who Sandra was (her last name, before at least), and now he had a name to place with the haughty looking girl that had strutted through the cafeteria earlier. Lyall would definitely be watching this duel closely. He wasn't disappointed, especially when he saw Chaos Fairy Luminas appear on the field. The monster had a great way of keeping itself alive, and the assault version of itself could revive its former self if it was destroyed. Longevity and revival, now these were two things Lyall definitely needed.

Lyall admired how Sandra could stay just as calm and confident during her duel, especially when Cybell had brought out that impressive dragon. In some instances though, she appeared melancholy, which made Lyall wonder why for a while before turning his attention back to the duel. Cybell was obviously very keen on special summoning her powerful beasts as quickly as possible, and he probably would have admired her style even more if she didn't kill it with that repulsive arrogance. Lyall's face changed to show some sign of contempt. He knew her kind well enough, there was a rat's nest of them in both the high and low society of Aria City, each displaying their arrogance and spite in a variety of ways. Hopefully Sandra could pull off a victory to put the other girl in her place.

Wasn't there a Castlevania character named Carmilla or something? I just remember giving her the name because it's kinda-almost-close-but-not-quite-close to "camellia" (see: Tytannial) and there was a song in a Touhou fangame called Rose-Killing Carmilla.

Actually there is, though the only version I saw of her was the Castlevania Judgment rendition:

Yep... yep... complete prostitute, though she only serves Dracula since she pretty much thinks he's God. Also, she bathes in the blood of her victims, kind of like that one mad royal that kidnapped little girls and spilled their blood to do the same.
Oh, well that's awesome to hear then. What do the lifepoint counters say so far?
I feel really bad for Sandra actually ;-;...

Edit: Cybell pretty much is a female version of Kaiba, except instead of a luxurious CEO of a massive corporation, she's a gangster.

Every time I hear the name Carmilla, I think of Castlevania.
Lyall frowned a bit as Sandra just got up and left, which was kind of ironic considering he wanted her gone just minutes later. Then he remembered why. The bag left behind by the twins! Now that there was no one else around, Lyall had a good opportunity to steal it with no trouble. He went for it and slung it over his shoulder before quickly heading out through another exit of the cafeteria. Didn't want to bump into Ms. Mean Girl and Sandra after all.

The duelist was now walking through a hallway looking for an empty place that was mostly out of everyone's way. That way he could sift through the bags contents with no interference. He stopped to look at the door names, and there seemed to be what was a custodian's closet.

"How cliché, but it works."

He stepped into it and shut the door behind him silently, afterwards turning on the closet light.

"Now let's see what we have here," Lyall said with a grin, opening the bag...

My reaction to the most recent GM post. Good luck Sandra... good luck....

"Us? well-" Aurund was suddenly cut off by a sharp headache, falling to the ground suddenly, obviously knocked out. Taerund threw his drink down, and picked his brother up, and silently carried him out of the room, Aurund's bag being left in the cafeteria.

"Guess I'll be seeing you three later!" Lyall called out as Taerund carried his twin out of the cafeteria. Lyall hadn't misspoken when he used the number three instead of two. If those two were allied with the third cloaked man, then he definitely wanted the ring leader to know he was well aware of their abilities and was more than willing to meet.

Much to Lyall's satisfaction, Taerund had forgotten to take Aerund's bag with him in the rush. Now this was gold, there could be definitely be some useful information of their little cloaked group in there for him to sort through! Maybe there were even tidbits of their master plan somewhere within there too, making it all the more better. The duelist kept part of his attention on it as Sandra began to talk again.

He honestly wished she would just grow bored and leave, but this quickly changed when she pulled a single card out from her deck. The card was quite impressive, being a never before seen Synchro monster that held all the characteristics of an angelic entity, but the aura of dark being. Kerykeion seemed especially riled up by it.

"This is the card!" She told him. "I only felt it faintly before, but I know this is the card I sensed with her earlier. Chaos Fairy Luminas... it resonates with a power I'm sure will help magnificently in restoring my progenitors' second lord to power..."

Lyall smiled at the card. If Kerykeion was this impressed by it, then it was definitely something worth having by his side for his personal plans.

"I find it quite beautiful, much like its wielder," he said with small laugh as he sat down at a table to continue eating his food.

Some time later after Lyall had finished up all his food, the cafeteria doors were opened by a fierce looking, white haired girl. Well, more like they were burst open with the amount of force she used to get in. Lyall watched her. She carried herself with a high sense of superiority and authority, acting in a way that would intimidate any lesser duelists or people of weak wills. He knew this was the girl the Evilswarm spellcastress had mentioned not long ago, and now that he had seen her for himself he knew this duelist could be his most challenging opponent yet.

"A maiden spirit with the same aura as the Blue-Eyes White Dragon," Lyall repeated mentally. That particular dragon was the king above the "basic" dragons that roamed through the Duel Spirits' world, so there was no question as to why she actually did emanate some sort of grand power. But, Lyall himself had used dragons in the past, and he knew their power paled in comparison to the might of the Iswarms. Like with Ryu, Lyall would send out his Swarm to overwhelm her monsters, and successfully crush that arrogance she was obviously flouting.
