Nevea noticed Austin looking at her, but made nothing of it. He wasn't her focus right now, her focus was defence, and subsequently boosting her reputation. Some could say she put safety after standing, which was nearly true, but could not be proven satisfactorily. She was later found to be the unfortunate victim of a certain rare and misunderstood disease called "caring what other people think". She, of course, thought this completely and utterly absurd.Ah, there he was, Seth. Her eyes turned to him as he came toward her and she waved him over, with a slight smile on her face that fit perfectly with her business air. She had completely expected his next question, and as he cut short, she quickly responded, "Yes. Yes I did." She did not care to explain, for it was a very lengthy and tedious description of the reason for her constant changes of outfit. This is that description:She liked to be perfectly dressed for every occasion. You can now see just how boringly long it is and understand why she didn't like to explain. Most anyone would get bored after the first letter, that was how long it was."So let's get to business," she began, with a slight steeliness in her voice that also added to the business air about her. She also adjusted the tones in her voice when she changed outfits, in case it hadn't been noticed yet. She was thorough to a fault. Not that she made any. "The Hephaestus cabin is ready to hear me out on weaponising my ice constructs. And of course you can add what you will to the conversation." That was the end of it, so she opened the door to the cabin and walked in.Immediately, she felt warmer. That was not good at all. She was not comfortable with warm temperatures, not at all. So, she quickly cooled herself down, making sure that the temperature effect wouldn't go much farther than half a foot away from her. "So, we're here because of defence," she began, to strike up the conversation. "Particularly mechanising and weaponising my ice constructs."((If you could play the Hephaestus kids, that would be absolutely peachy.))

Seth dismissed her first statement since it wasn't exactly of importance to him she had changed her outfit, or how many times she had done so in a single day. He was amused by it really and figured that Nevea did so to try and appear "appropriately" for each situation she went to face.

"Straight to the point then? Good."

He was thankful that she wasn't the type to drag things out. After the long and vexing conversations he had had with the idiots in the Big House, Seth wasn't in any mood to talk with anyone else. Furthermore, he knew they should set up their defences fast.

The Hephaestus cabin was hot, though that was expected seeing it belonged to children of the forge god. He allowed Nevea to start off the talk since it was her ice constructs they'd be using. With her finished, a kid named Trey responded and asked what kinds of things they'd be wanting to create, and that's when Seth did begin speaking.

"As I'm not sure Nevea's capable of producing an entire wall of ice around the entire camp in one go," he said as he spotted a map of the camp and placed it on a table, "My suggestion is that she and I form ice and crystal 'turrets' along the border. Let me show you."

Small crystal formations began to rise on the map as Seth's magic energy condensed. They were blue and red to indicate that they'd be fusing their creations together. The exact places where the crystals formed where at the main entrances of the camp, and other separate mini constructs rose along places where monsters might try to breach for surprise attacks.

"With my crystals ensuring her ice has a greater chance of staying intact, they should have no problem in releasing a chilling aura to and from each other to create a pseudo barrier. The cold should ideally slow and weaken most of the monsters that try and get through, and deter any lesser monsters from even trying."

Seth then remembered the mention of traps and weaponizing Nevea's ice. Since his crystals had the tendency to become volatile when fused with Hephestean creations (at least when they were fused in the first place by amateurs), using her ice would be safer.

"I'm sure you Hephaestus kids can rig up traps to place along the borders. However, my siblings and I can assist you in creating rune traps. As for Nevea's using ice... perhaps she should explain that part herself."

Seth now turned his attention to the recent arrival, Angelo. A child of Zeus obviously, but he didn't particularly have a significant problem with him or his siblings. As Angelo had said, they were organized and disciplined, and more mature than other halfbloods here.

"Your siblings will be good in further securing the perimeter. It shouldn't be too hard to fight off anything that might get through the pseudo barrier, especially since it'll be weakened if it does cross. Another thing you all should take care of are the crystal-ice constructs. They're more durable now they'll be fused together, but not entirely unbreakable from constant and heavy damage."
I'll have my response up in a bit.

Hate to ask but who is nevea?

Whizball1's character, she's a daughter of Khione
"I've got other things I need to attend to anyway," Seth remarked as he looked at a clock nearby. He had spent a longer time here than he had originally intended to, but really, what could he have expected? The demigod stretched his hand out towards his creation and caused it to levitate off the table and returned it to its original place floating in the air.

"Use it carefully, if you do. Make sure you all succeed and come back alive, it really does suck when anyone is lost on these quests."

Seth had said the last bit with some actual sincerity in his voice, but before anyone could respond if they wanted to, he was already out the door and walking towards where he'd expect Nevea to be at. He rotated his neck and shoulders a bit to relieve some of the tension that had built up.

After a few minutes of walking, Seth finally saw the Hephaestus cabin come into view. He could see Nevea standing out there waiting, and was pleased to see she was prompt at getting to where she needed to be.

"Nevea," he called out as he stopped next to the cabin. "Wait, did you just-"

He could have sworn the girl had changed her style at least twice already. And he thought only Aphrodite's children did that.

"Nevermind, we should get started on discussing what we need to."

The demigod waited for her to begin speaking.
Seth ignored Michael for the time being, as the demigod was really starting to get on his nerves. Most of them were really, and had it not been for the fact they were all about to go on a quest, he'd probably have subjected them all to a few nasty curses and nightmarish hallucinations.

Vic gave a nervous laugh. "Okay then, Mics. Just one question: if we decide on using it, I don't remember him giving us instructions..."

"The guiding part will work on its own. You're tracking a powerful magical artifact, so it shouldn't be hard to notice the crystal acting up and 'pulling' in the Fleece's direction. If you really need to, then purposefully and forcefully smashing the crystal against the ground will cause the destructive wave I mentioned earlier. And yes, you'll have enough time to get out of its way before it does its work."

so this guy can just make as many of those as he wants?really?

Yeah pretry much, but don't worry, I'm not going to abuse the power and have some sort of means for constant empowerment. In the lasts RPs I've used Seth in, he only ever creates one such crystal at a time for quest purposes.
Actually, he rarely fashions such crystals, but he made copies of the one before him to show off.

As for Morning, I have no clue when she'll come in. It has been a while since the CS was posted....
"Given the circumstances, yes," Seth responded calmly with a miniature smirk. "I didn't come here to argue with any of you. Like you just said, Michael, someone let those hellhounds in, and it resulted in the wounding of several of my half siblings!"

He had said the last bit angrily, obviously not pleased that some of them had come out injured from the attack.

"And yet you're still here wasting time arguing whether or not you're going to accept a means to aid yourselves on this quest. Now make your choice already."
"Hmph, I know you may like to make suggestions of humiliation to try and build up your poor ego, but get serious again here. I know you know where the Fleece is located, but you really only have a general idea. Lord Hades' realm is enormous, do you really think you'll be able to find it quick enough before our camp is overrun by ravenous monsters?"

Seth laughed a little as he produced more copies of the crystal before them, showing that the camp wouldn't really be at a loss if they took the one crystal he had offered to them along. The copies soon dissipated, leaving the first crystal Seth had made floating in the air.

"Using it or not is not my problem, I'm simply offering you an extra but useful tool for your journey."
My characters always find a way to make people hate them xD.

Micheal walked up to the crystal and put picked it up feeling the its energy. The rush he got was one of blood lust, he blinked and every face in front of him twisted and distorted and he felt as though all of them must be destroyed. A tiny female voice in the back of his head piped up Just like that everything was clear again and back in order. He felt the darkness in the crystal and almost hated it, to him it him it looked like a double edged sword and the last thing he wanted to do was trust it. "I won't condone this being brought with us." He looked at Seth with a straight face. "And if one of us were to drop your little how would that pan out? Would it send us skyward?" Michael put the crystal back on the in front of Seth.

"If you did happen to drop it accidentally, it is highly unlikely it'd explode and reduce you all to ashes," Seth said as he held the crystal in one hand. They weren't really all too fond of his little creation, but Seth expected that really. Other than the fact he himself was giving it to them, they were already becoming wary of its darker effects when trying to directly use its power.

"Like it or not, so far it's the only thing you have to point you in the direction of the Golden Fleece. I don't recommend you taking some ridiculous 'noble' decision in leaving it behind, because the longer that Fleece stays off the Camp's borders, the weaker its boundaries will get. Do you really want to put the other demigods here closer to danger because of one arrogant decision?"

Val shivered. Thecway the crystal stole her fire...It unnerved her. She shivered and made her flames burn warmer. Val retreated into a dark corner, illuminating the shadows behind her. She was careful not to touch the wood. She shut her fire off only to have her eyes glow out from the darkness, making her look a bit creepy.Shæ sighed. "Enough showing off Seth. It earns you no favors." She stoked her black pegasus lovingly. Ace nickered and nuzzled her han affectionately. Shæ gathered up thecwater that was currently in the air and flicked Seth in the face with it, laughing at the look on his face.

The demigod internally smiled at the way Valen had reacted when his creation had lapped up part of her flames. He always liked it when people who were high up on their horse felt fear at the simplest of his actions. It... entertained him somehow, even if he didn't mean any real harm by it. That's when Shae tried to show off by splashing him with water droplets, but Seth merely moved out of the way and let it fall upon some wooden furniture.

"Water tends to damage wood, Shaelyn," Seth said simply. "Do try to control yourself next time, I doubt your allies will appreciate such childish antics during such a serious quest."

Seth sighed. He sometimes wondered why he bothered trying to help people like them at all, even if he was trying to benefit himself along the way.

"Anyway, that's what I had to say. Now make your choices, because those monsters are just waiting for the chance to cross our already weakening boundaries. Don't fear the crystal's power, use it wisely, and you'll find it'll serve you well..."
