Posted! I hope that's good enough to get things moving again.

I'm almost done with the main storyline in Pokemon Y, and after I finish the game I'll be able to use my EV/IV trained pokemon in the Battle Maison. If anyone has the game and wants a battle, I'd be glad to accept 3DS friend codes, or whatever you use to battle specific people!
"Oh, then I misunderstood you," Seth said with a shrug, half of his attention focused on the resuming sound of clanging metal and active forge fires. He was a little annoyed that he had not only misunderstood, but practically announced it to everyone in the cabin with his comment. Oh well, at least something good came out of it, especially since Nevea had decided to implement the idea anyway.

I can see none of you have wasted any time in making temporary defenses for the camp, a voice said from the cabin's doorway. Seth looked to see who it was and felt his jaw drop a small bit when he saw who it was. Dionysus. Last he had seen him, the god had been talking with the would be questers at the Big House.

"Yes..." Seth said hesitantly. He wondered why he was here. Did the other demigods already blow themselves up with the crystal he gave them or what? No... that wasn't possible considering Morning had cleansed it of the volatile dark magic, but who knew... they probably had found a way to send themselves sky high before they even stepped foot put of camp...

]Anyway, I just stopped by to tell you two that there's been a change of plans with the quest. A new team will be arranged, one with some more... competent demigods. Meet me by the Big House once you're all finished up with... whatever it is you're doing there.

Dionysus looked towards Seth and Nevea, obviously implying they were the ones from here meant to go. The god left shortly afterwards and proceeded to tell the same news to Austin and Angelo, and then to Morning and another strange Demigod named Brooke. The god felt this team would have better chances lf succeeding than the former, and the other camp directors shared his sentiments. Naturally, those originally meant to go on the quest for the Fleece weren't particularly pleased, but Dionysus was never one to care about such reactions.
Thanks!

I will have a post up soon in the IC. I've been a bit busy lately with work.... and pokemon xD, but I'll have something up soon once Kaithas and I hash out some more plot details!
You're fine, I think most of us can wait until tomorrow for things to pick back up. Assuming most of us are still interested in participating in this that is...

Anyway, I think I should make an announcement now, and that's that Kira has responded to the PM I sent her a couple of days ago. She asked me if I could take the roleplay from her (I guess she got busy with other things), and I agreed, so I guess I'll be the GM around here from now on. First order of business:

I always wanted to use that :p. But no seriously, first order of business will be to swap out the current people supposedly going on a quest with people who are still active. Last time I checked, Whizz, Jangel, SomeoneSomewere, and Kaithas were still around, but I need to know who actually is still around to make a new team.

Second thing:

Name: Cassius SherryAge: 16Weapon: His violin, can transform the sound notes into piercing needles that are propelled towards enemies.Godly Parent: ApolloMagical Power Able to convert sounds into actual physical forms. Depending on the nature of the sound note, he can alter them into a variety of different forms, from physical forms such as arrows, to other things such as light.Appearance:Personality: Cassius is emotionally shallow and isn't often able to feel emotion, and often when he does it's not what he believes he should be feeling, confusing him greatly. Lack of empathy and has trouble understanding why and how other people behave. He often adapts the personality that he believes would fit the situation or would make please others around him. His true, empty nature is covered by layers of false personalities which don't often open up. Being alone his entire life, he finds it hard to shoo away his feelings of deep loneliness. Cassius often does not know how to respond to social situations due to his almost absolute lack of interaction during his childhood. He longs to find his place in the world. Bio: Cassius's mother didn't want him, he was an accident. Learning of his demi-god nature before he was born, she was horrified of her soon-to-be child's form. But rather than treating him bad, abusing him, or anything like that, she ignored him. Only talking to him during absolutely necessary situations. She worked most of the day, and when she got home nothing was said to the boy. Cassius was home-schooled due to his mother's fear of the something happening surrounding Cassius's powers. His violin was his only escape from this life, and he often played it for hours on end. Due to this treatment, Cassius's powers never showed or developed until later in his life, only manifesting when he was 16. Now he's been sent to Camp Half-Blood to train and prepare for the future.Sorry for the lackluster app, it's 1 a.m. and for some reason I need to apply right now even though I'm half asleep. xD

You never got a response. Accepted, so long as you can assure us that the whole "turn sounds into physical things" won't be too OP.

Actually, I had a bit of an idea bouncing around in my head. Was going to put it into a fanfic, but an RP could work just as well. I could put up a rough interest check on the matter if you want :)EDIT: If I did put it up though, I probably won't be online to officially post it until Thursday. See the sig :<

I'll drop the majority of the custom cards, but not the entire deck since it's the only good deck I have that won't get shot in the first few turns. The only custom card I'll leave is the field spell since it works well with the hybridization.
I've sent Kira a message regarding the RP, I hope we can hear back from her soon. If not, then don't worry, I have a plan that can help us out.

Nevea was just as exasperated at inadequacy as Seth was. However, as she usually took the time to account for every sensibly possible outcome of a choice she made in a plan of hers, she was more inclined to noticing the inadequacy in others as opposed to problems that occurred in her plans. Since her plans usually involved manipulation, she had to put extensive thought into a plan, and so she always prepared them rather long prior to the execution of one. Nevea didn't notice Seth's glances at her, as she was processing the information and examining the parts that the Hephestan campers had brought out. Her mind momentarily went on a tangent that questioned why she had decided to learn more about Seth than other campers, but no definite answer came to her about why she had seen him as especially important. She would think more on that later, because Seth responded to her question. She listened to the Hephestan camper's plan and nodded. One of the campers activated the control mechanism. Then the first automaton came running. The horizontal shaft of the construct, hereby referred to as the barrel, was pointed away from the automaton, but the control module recognised the automaton as a threat. The rotation module activated and the construct swung toward the automaton, and then the control module pushed and pulled the two metal strips, which slid through the firing mechanism, changing the air pressure back and forth and causing it to fire ice shards at a quick pace. While the chilling effect was not currently activated, the shards of ice stopped the automaton quite quickly. It was at this point that a smaller automaton, whose head was lower than the barrel, came charging at the construct. The Hephestan campers realised too late that they had forgotten to get the barrel to move up and down, and the firing mechanism fired at nothing. Nevea's expression remained calmly serene, as she had accounted for this. She had not said anything, because she knew what would happen next. A stream of magic darted out from the construct and struck the automaton, causing it to fall back. The designers quickly stopped the test after that, and Nevea spoke. "You'll need to adjust the mechanisms such that it won't fire when an enemy is lower than the shaft. We don't want to waste humidity. I'd suggest you put detection for that in the firing mechanism." Those who had designed the firing mechanism went back into the cabin to add to the design.

The response speed of the firing mechanism was acceptable, stopping the attacking automatons in their tracks before they could reach it to do damage. The only thing that he and the designers had apparently overlooked was giving the barrel the ability to move up and down, and Seth mentally smacked himself for not thinking of such a thing. The ability for it to do that would allow it to target threats a lot better, especially those that came from above or tried to avoid damage by creeping across the ground.

Still... his magic had compensated for that, so his initial ignorance of the machine's faultiness didn't bother him as much as it would have. Seth looked at the automaton that had been struck by the magic, letting out a small chuckle as he noticed that the brass metal it was made of was beginning to deteriorate. The energy that powered the thing also seemed to be taking on a new... "sickly" color if it could be described like that. Reaching his arm out to it, Seth pulled out the residual dark magic that was affecting it and absorbed it.

"Humidity detector? I hadn't thought of that, but it is a reasonable idea," Seth said after Nevea suggested for this to be added.

As of now, Seth couldn't really think of anything else that could be added to the designs. If everything went well, all that would be left was to begin creating the ice-crystal structures along the camp's borders and wait for the Hephaestus kids to place the final design of the firing machines into them. And after that was done with... what else? The complete defenses would be reliable and efficient in protecting the camp from monsters, so would they really have to worry too much? Sure, maybe a few dumb monsters would make it through, but the demigod defenses nearby would eliminate them quickly.

He'd just have to wait.
On that matter, what happened to everyone else? At this rate we might as well as swap out the current questing characters with people who are actually active...

Nevea stared at the ice patterns she'd made for a few moments, trying to decipher the parts in which her subconscious decided the emotions she couldn't understand should be. Being unable to figure it out, as usual, she dismissed the process from her mind and focused on what was outside of the window. She moved away from the window after a bit more time, and noticed Seth approaching the cabin when not in front of the window. She watched him for a bit as he admired the patterns, and was surprised at his smile, but kept herself from letting out what would have been a slightly audible sharp intake of breath. When he stopped looking at it and went to the door, she moved her gaze to the construct, and the ice patterns melted away. She looked to Seth as he came in and nodded to acknowledge his first statement. She considered asking him what he thought about the patterns, but discarded the notion for various reasons. That wasn't the topic at hand, after all. The focus was the constructs. "Nothing much at this point," said Nevea, in response to Seth's question. "We just need to make sure it all fits together, and then we can start producing the constructs. So, since it seems that they're just about done making the prototype mechanisms, let's try fitting them in. How are we going to do this?" One of the designers spoke up. "We're going to put in the firing mechanism first, through the horizontal shaft, then add the connection through the vertical. We'll then attach the whole thing to the control mechanism. It should all snap together quite well." With that, they filed outside and gave her the firing mechanism. At the front of it was a thin, hollow tube which was presumably supposed to be where the ice shard would form. The mechanics behind it were inside of a casing, and at the bottom of the casing there were slits through which the connection between the control and firing modules would fit. When the control mechanism decided it was time to fire, it would push and pull two half-centimetre metal strips that fit inside the slits respectively. These would initiate a magically helped change in air pressure that would fire the shard, and it would be able to fire in rapid succession. Nevea slid the firing mechanism into the horizontal shaft, back first, so that the hollow tube was at the front. It fit perfectly. A few of them lifted the construct off of the ice pedestal, making sure to hold the crystal parts and not the ice, so that their grip wouldn't slip. Then another one inserted the two metal strips into the slits, and then they placed the construct onto the control mechanism. They made sure it fit well, and then the camper who had put in the strips turned a knob on the control mechanism. The strips of metal fell fully through the slits in the rotation module, whereas they had been only partly through. The camper turned the knob back and the strips locked into place, and the ice and crystal construct was now fully integrated with the Hephestan creation. "Lovely," Nevea said. "I suppose I'll start up the forming of ice shards." She directed her hand toward the construct, and applied an attribute to it such that it would form ice shards in the hollow tube when there were none there. Those shards would subsequently hover inside the tube, waiting to be fired, and then new ones would be formed. "Shall we test the targeting, then?"

Seth nodded at Nevea's answer to his question, glad that nothing had spontaneously or been revealed to have been inadequate to function properly as he and Nevea had envisioned. If there was something Seth hated, it was inadequacy. Anything from poor performance at a given task or a fluke in his plans, it was enough to make him grind his teeth in anger. The latter to him was most probable to actually happen, something he had learned to accept over time, but it was exasperating still nonetheless.

He waited as one of the Hephestean campers explained what they would be doing to place the proto-mechanism within the ice-crystal structure, all while shooting discreet and momentary glances at Nevea from time to time. He noticed something slightly.... different in her. He took some notice of it when he returned back to the cabin, but by now he could tell that what he noticed hadn't gone away completely. Nevea seemed to be unsure of something, and was perhaps even conflicted by something. Different from what he usually saw in her, which was a cold, serene, and certain attitude that had asserted iself within camp.

And now... the fact that Seth had noticed any of this began clicking in his head. He rarely ever noticed or even cared for such changes in others outside his own cabin, particularly when they were brief and seemingly insignificant. He shook it from his mind as soon as it had come though, supposing it to be something he had noticed simply because it was something he'd have expected with someone like her.

"Hm?"

Seth was taken away from his own thoughts as Nevea spoke up after the forged machine had been put in place.

"We might as well," he responded when she had asked if they should test the targeting of the machine. He understood what she would be doing to the machine and how it would work after she was done with it. It would all be over quick, so Seth told the Hephaestus kids nearby to bring some targets for it to hit. They apparently often did test targeting machines, as they had no trouble in pulling out small automatons from metal boxes. After they tinkered a bit with the small machines, they immediately came to life and formed a line.

We're quite sure the monsters won't be waiting around to get hit, so here are some moving targets for the machine to hit. They'll perform different actions, so you guys don't need to worry about the tests being too basic!

At that, one of the automatons sprang into action, grabbing a piece of metal and dashing straight for the machine...

Quite the read. Here's some stuff you can listen if you choose to read it:

Not so many non-creepy songs since I wanted to get the full effect of the pasta. It still didn't really have that much of an effect on me though. Also, the damn thing took me about two hours to read (though that might have just been from pausing to look for other music), but like I said, it was pretty good.
