It might be better to allow XYZ since it seems many of the decks here use them as well. If it helps this case any, I do remember that the GM of a different Yugioh RP banned the use of Number and Cxyz monsters. I personally didn't agree with prohibiting the use of the usual Number monsters since they aren't too bad (most of the time), but I don't think anyone minded their Cxyz counterparts being gone considering these ones are the crazy, pretty much broken cards.

Banning out Numbers is too much, cards like utopia aren't that bad.. Could deal with cxyz being gone. Lets just wait for the GM's call.

That's what I was saying, I didn't agree with banning the normal Number monsters but was fine with their Cxyz versions being unallowed.

Alright then, everything seems good to me if that's the case :). However, it might be difficult for me to make a CS now if XYZ are banned. Most if not all of my decks are XYZ based... would it be possible to make an exception? The XYZ mechanic is easiest for me to use, and while I have a (mostly) synchro based deck, it's similar to that of another character's deck from a yugioh rp I used to be in and I don't want to make it seem like I'm ripping them off or anything should they happen to stop by. I mean, I made the deck by myself yeah, but I'd rather use a character that follows and uses a different formula and deck, you know?

Hey, I found this about a day ago and decided after some thinking that I'd like to join to try and get back into RPing. Is it still possible to sign up? I see that you guys are off to a good start with a few duels having taken place already, so I just want to check to make sure before posting a character sheet. Also, I wanted to bring up something that's still a bit of a concern for me right now, and that's the current power creep between decks being used and the power cap for any future decks to be used. I don't know how the experience has been for you guys since I haven't had time to read through the whole OOC, but I do know that there are certain decks that can just outright stomp the heck out of some other character's decks. Nekroz against the old school Blue-Eyes deck I saw around here somewhere definitely does not seem like a fair matchup, for example, and I see there's already been some talk about using other decks that are pretty high up on the power scale of Yugioh (Infernoids, Qliphorts, think I might have even seen a mention of Shaddolls thrown around someplace). I was wondering how this would all be dealt with to try and keep the roleplay for everyone involved fair and enjoyable (because really, I'd be pretty bummed out if I knew my deck didn't stand much of a chance against everybody else) for everyone without completely banning the use of certain decks. I'm not trying to start anything and I hope I'm not giving the wrong impression here, I'm just curious is all.

Mmm... there might be some issues with that since Lswarms are still the only deck I can effectively use and enjoy using. I have Shaddolls and Burning Abyss, but I'm not too good at using them and I know that those two decks are currently top tier meta (with BA being banned for this RP). Are you sure there isn't some way to weave in your plans and ideas with my character?
