I'm going to be honest and say that I kind of already did make a custom spell, that being the Fearful Hex thing I mentioned earlier. It basically causes a target to experience unpleasant, vivid hallucinations for a while.

In fact I really just intend to use custom spells as I honestly don't know many canon spells (save for a handful) and really don't feel like having to read through the entire list of spells until I find something I want.
Casimir actually talking with someone and not creeping the ever living fuck out of them :p.

Also Sparrow, three of us including myself posed a question to you earlier (though you weren't here, so no worries). Would you be ok with us creating custom spells, potions, etc.?
Yay, Casimir and Art are going on adventure! There will be much rule-screwing done by these two, I can already tell!
"I'm of the opinion that there just isn't reasonable grounds for expulsion. The damage I cause them isn't life threatening or crippling," Casimir explained. Artemis might have had a point though, because every now and then he could see it in the eyes of some teachers that they'd love to turn some rowdy, disrespectful student into a frog.... or maybe a salamander.

"But yes... leaving soon would be great."

Casimir's suddenly became more attentive as Artemis mentioned the book again. Here was a nice opening to having more time with the book, and he didn't even have to do anything beyond just offering his help.

"I wouldn't mind assisting you in that venture," Casimir said. "You obviously have something of great interest, so it would be a shame if its contents remained unknown to us. The only condition I have is that I fully be able to access the book any time I desire, and study any part of it that I wish."
The seventh year Slytherin laughed a bit. He certainly knew a great deal about almost getting expelled. The first time he had been threatened with that punishment was the first time he publicly made another student go into fits of madness, raving about the large spiders and serpents crawling and slithering in and out of his body even though there was clearly nothing there. The work of a Fearful Hex, a cruel spell Casimir took the time to master to fully exploit the fears of those he targeted. It was a wondrous moment to see that upstuck and audacious Gryffindor scream like a girlz but eventually the moment ended when he was put to sleep and healed by a teacher.
What had been his punishment in the end though? Casimir didn't remember.

"My 'almost suspensions' or expulsions often result from me putting some insufferable fool in their place. I'm honestly more surprised I haven't been expelled yet, considering hexing and jinxing others is something I do nearly every year to a few students from each house. Even our own. Can't ever be too lenient to others when respect is involved."
Casimir mentally cursed as Artemis put the tome away. He really wanted, felt he needed, to know more about its contents and what it had to teach. It was a mystery why he wasn't placed into Ravenclaw when he first arrived at Hogwarts, because knowledge was one of the main things Casimir frequently sought to set himself apart from others. Perhaps, once they all had arrived at Hogwarts, he could try a variety of methods to get the book from Art... asking politely was one option, but after hearing the implication of the trouble he had gone through to get his hands on such a tome, Cas figured the guy wouldn't be so willing to just give it up.

"Seventh year. You are in, what, your third or fourth year?" Casimir asked Artemis. The boy seemed to be a wary and cautious individual, so speaking in a more relaxed and even casual tone should be the best option when interacting with him.
Skorn considered reducing Shrapnel to slag metal with a simple blast of red light from his ring, but then remembered that they did indeed have more pressing matters at hand. How Atrocitus was able to deal with working with the very people he hated such as Star Sapphire Carol and Sinestro, he'd never know. Flapping his wings, Skorn rose into the air, but did not yet fly away.

"The living metal refuse here speaks truthfully." Skorn used a simple chain construct from his ring to grab the head and other parts of the Manhunter he had killed. "Though where we should go to discuss this, I know not."

Artemis's crimson gaze immediately glanced at Casimir once he heard the voice, and the Slytherin mentally berated himself for not taking cautionary measures. Regardless of if the older male was Slytherin or not, he was still a stranger, and therefore shouldn't be trusted enough to get comfortable around. However, seeing as the other male was already aware of the book, Artemis untensed his arms and breathed out a small, silent breath."...Corda aperire anima Vae librum legendum. Vere enim obscuris, sed non est malum et obscura sunt?" As he read the tongue, twisting, lilting words, the book glowed a sickly green color, obviously reacting to the strange chant, yet not ready to activate."I believe that it is Latin in nature."

Casimir wanted that book now considering it had some sort of warning in Latin mentioning woe to anyone who opens the book. It was a book of darkness or something along those lines, but in short it appeared to be a book about the Dark Arts. Casimir knew spells in that category of magic even though he never really used the most dangerous ones he knew about. He wondered what other things that book had in its contents.

:Hm, you wouldn't happen to have anything else like that with you, would you?"

"I've heard of Atrocitus, but what does he have to do with those...Red Lanterns? He's a terrorist, a survivor of the mysterious Sector 666 Massacre, he bombed dozens of innocents in Oan Space, well what did you expect from a guy named Atrocitus who lived in Sector ?" Miles laughed for the first time since he arrived.

As always happened when Skorn's rage was rising, red steam began to curl from his mouth as he heard Miles speak. The Blue Lantern obviously did not know of the righteousness of the Red Lanterns, or that of Atrocitus. Save for Dex-Starr and Zillius Zox, Skorn was one of the most loyal Red Lanterns of the Corps. Saying false things about his leader whom he considered wise and just wasn't exactly a good idea.

"Mind your tongue, human. You speak of the leader of the Red Lanterns, and one who is no mere terrorist that spreads fear and unjust destruction like this floating heap of metal over here," Skorn said as he pointed a claw to Shrapnel.
"Atrocitus created us to be bringers of vengeance and to crush the evil that exists in this universe. The massacre of his sector was no mystery, the Manhunters themselves were the cause of it!"
Funnily enough, I was wondering the same thing for the entire day as well. Creative freedom would certainly add some flavor, and for those of us who only remember a handful of spells that don't even go with our characters personalities....
