Sobek clenched his fists at Isis' comments. Ra was this goddess annoying as ever. Of course, what could he expect from someone who spent so much time with that annoying Sadie Carter, and now this other mortal who according to Michael was sometimes also a bit... annoying. Still, he ended up relaxing and giving a small laugh at her insult, replying in a way similar to how Michael would probably reply in the same situation.

*Whatever let's you sleep at night, I'd enjoy the terrible wrath of pigeons and babies you'd send my ways anyway. My children haven't had such a feast of since the time the Pharaoh ordered for the Israelite children to be-*

"And we are not going down that route. Anyway Sobek, as prideful as we are, let's not waste our energy arguing against these two."

Michael turned and walked a bit of ways further from Isis and Myra. When had she gotten so annoying? When had everyone gotten so annoying? Like really, it was as if Sobek was a giant magnet for idiots nowadays!

"Ah, can't believe I ever called her a friend," Michael laughed to Sobek.

*Unworthy of such, I agree.*

Then another girls appeared with some weapon and starting spouting off some more nonsense.

"Oh Ra help me...."
Sobek caught the flying fist with a spawned, glowing, crocodilian head. He growled as the construct faded away into the air.

"And I should not show respect to the traitor responsible for Ra's disappearance, should I?"
Michael twirled his staff as he rolled his eyes at Myra. Seriously?

"Oh for the love of Ra. Are you all blind or something? Kindly redirect your words to the child who started this all by trying to be Mr. Macho-Man."

*For children of a civilization known for wisdom and societal advances they all sure act worse than one of my freshly hatched children. Even they know respect,* Sobek said.
And Michael basically told him he would first rip his arms off if he doesn't watch himself :).
"Ha! If you can manage to punch without your flimsy little arms after I tear them off with a group of angry crocodiles," Michael retorted. Ra-damned Greeks, they were turning out to be more trouble than his Egyptian wizards back at the Nomes. At least they knew when to shut up or when to speak up! If things continued like this, then things could go rather poorly on the quest. See, this is why Michael usually worked alone with Sobek nowadays. This type of crap was avoided.

"Regardless, Greek, you should take care to know who exactly you should be warning, and that's One Eyed Willy over here," Michael said as he motioned with his head towards Adrian.
"I have no problem working with others of inferior status, but when they begin to act out of line for no reason as he did... we usually have some problems on our hands."
I gotta look at all these character sheets, I still don't know who everyone is!
It looks like my character and Somewere's are at it again!
"Hmph, know that we'll have no qualms about crushing this idiot before our quest even begins if he even thinks to act superior to me."

Michael responded to the people snapping at him and Adrian, still maintaining his calm yet resolute stance. This was going to be one fun and long adventure....
Michael scoffed before poking Adrian in the back with the end of his staff. It wasn't a terribly hard prod, but it would be enough to push someone slightly forward and maybe leave a minor bruise if their body wasn't all that strong. He met Adrian's eyes with a glower, though there was still an expression of pride and mocking in his face and voice.

"Careful there One-Eyed Willy, else Crocodile Head will gouge out the only good eye you have left."

The ruby eyes of the reptile's head on the staff glowed dimly as Michael spoke. He knew that Adrian had a bad eye even though he had never talked to him until now. Sobek easily discerned as much, being a military god and all. Speaking of military....

"Son of the Greek god Ares hm? I bet he's disappointed to have a child careless enough to lose an eye in combat. Can't keep your wits about you or what?"
When Michael saw that Morpheus and a few other half-bloods were heading to the hill, he did the same. All that he needed was stored within the pocket dimension provided by the Duat, so he was not worried in the slightest about leaving something behind. Scrolls, weapons, extra clothes, gear, and nourishment. Definitely well set. Now all he had to do was wait for the others.

*Tell me though mortal, why do you go on this quest?*

"Well for starters there are two other magician hosting a deity coming along, it'd be pathetic of us not to undertake the same task they are when they've made it clear they are determined to see it through. Then there's also the fact I feel all of this is much bigger than a few problems in the Duat."

*True, yes....*

"This will also be my chance to prove myself worthy of being a host to a god. You may have chosen me, but we still have too many idiots thinking it is a mistake."

Sobek said nothing, as he usually did when he was satisfied with the answers given and wanted to ask no more questions. Michael was now at the top of the hill and stood regally as he waited. The crocodile staff stood in front of him, and he rested his hands on it as he waited for the rest to come, namely Myra and Andrew.
