'Ello boys! Your not so friendly neighborhood psycho Krieg is here! As I want to get things started ASAP, I'll skip all that boring stuff about who the hell I am and go straight to the juicy part. However, this is the first of a series of threads I will be creating, so I will go on on explaining what the heck is this in this cute hider here (aren't those things amazingly useful?):

Alright! That was a bigass hider. If you read it all, congrats! If you didn't, at least read the TL;DR by the end of it. I'll wait. Done? See? It didn't hurt too much, even though my crappy humor might have lead you to loosing a few brain cells. Now that you're done and mentally challenged enough to enjoy the plot, let's get to it!

WHAT'S THE PLOT?

[Low Fantasy] [Medieval] [War]
Two kingdoms have been at war since it's creation. The reasons they fight have been many, always changing over the years. Water resources, land, control over trading rutes. You name it. Since the creations of those two realms 500 years ago, they've fought over everything there was to fight. Right now, the fight is apparently coming to an end. King Hugen, of Whitehorn, has kidnaped King Ulbern, of Dragon's Peak. King Hugen is holiding King Ulbern inside his city, demanding total and unquestionable surrender by the people of Dragon's Peak. The surrender demands the reduction of the city's army to a tenth of it's current size, the reduction of it's walls to 2 and a half meters and a payment of 4 arcs of gold each year. One at each season pass.

King Ulbern, however, is not helpless. He and his High General, Sir Glakos, have been proven to be great leaders and have won many battles against the city of Whitehorn. The question to be answered is: will Sir Glakos be able to lead his army to victory alone? Will King Ulbern survive? Will the city of Dragon's Peak surrender? Which side will you take on this? Those are questions made for you to answer.

CHARACTER SHEET:

To be added if I get enough people in this RP

FINAL WORDS:

Congratulations, you made through a fucking huge wall of text. You can pat yourself in the back a little bit for doing a week's worth of reading! If you're up for some more, here's some shit you should know before saying that you want to join this RP:

- You're supposed to have enough free time for at least 3 short posts a week. If you can only post when the moon turns blue while the plannets align, I'm sorry to say this won't be for you.

- You'll be able to choose with side you want to roleplay as (Hugen's or Ulber's). The side with most votes win.

- You will decide on the frequency of the posting. Anywhere from twice a day to three times a week are acceptable. You're big kids, you can hopefully figure it out a nice schedule by yourselves.

- I may have to take control over someone's character without any kind of warning. I will avoid to do this at all costs, but if an afk player hinders the progression of the plot too much (e.g. an entire week without posting for no aparent reason), I'll do so for the sake of the others.

- I truly hope you enjoy the RP and will do everything in my power to grant that this happens.

- I plan on a 2 to 6 people group. If I reach max capacity on this one, don't worry. I'll be coming with short stuff like this every other month. And there will be a link at the end of the this post to the next thread of this type.

Well, I'm tired of typing already. Enjoy.
@6slyboy6 The rest of them has been destroyed by poorly arranged parties of monster mercenaries. It seems to be a rather common fate to places that offer mind numbing beverages to violent and powerful outcasts.
@DiZL ReloadeD

I'm in my last year at college, I know how it is man (the difference is that I just had a U-turn and found out that the chances of working in my area are minimal, so I'm not really going to college anymore).

There will always be a spot open for you and Tugrok if you ever decide to come back.

@The Fated Fallen

Hey good news! A spot has just been created!
@Banana@Pikmin Eye@6slyboy6@Oraculum@Turbowraith

"So, you're indeed going back? Good." Shalana was smiling once again, her bright sharp teeth contrasting against her tanned skin. "I won't directly ressurect you, as this is not how this works." Seeing the confused look on Stride's face, she explained "There is too much at stake for me to show my influence directly over you. Some of my worshipers in the town have already received word of your death and have been given instructions on how to bring you back. Thankfully, time works in funny ways when you're dead, so they should arive before too much damage is done to your body, after all, I work with necromancers, not healers." She talked in a playful manner, her voice vaguely reminding Stride of an excited child.

"Now, when you go back I'm going to need you to fetch that book that Yashar wants. You will be facing a powerful group of human mercenaries when you get there and if you die again, I'm not sure I'll be able to bring you back once more, so be careful. I know for a fact that the book is hidden in the last room of the top floor, but someone or something managed to hide what lies inside that room from me. So, once again, be careful." With fluid movements, she crossed the remaining distance between the two of them and gave Stride a small kiss on his forehead. Her lips felt much warmer than anyone could ever expect from Death.

"I'm going to leave now. When that door opens, it will mean that you are ready to return to your body. Cross the door and you will be back to the world of the living, take too long and your soul will lose it's energy and dissipate into nothing." With those last words, she vanished into the air of the inn, leaving Stride with nothing but his refilling mug.

***

"STOOOOOOP!" A feminine voice echoed through the streets. The air around the fighting party seemed much thicker, making movements much slower. Even the lighting from the goblin's armor was slowed down. "Now calm down." Her voice was much more calm now and yet it held so much power into it that everyone was compelled to obey and look towards the source of it.

Into the street it stood a small group of robbed figures. All of them dressed in light blue clothes with their heads covered, except one. She was a small dark elf, her face uncovered revealing a stone cold expression. Even the ones without any kind of magic affinity could perceive that she had a power much bigger than most mortals could achieve. Her words managed to calm down even the Skeleton, who, for the first time in his unlife, felt something close to peace.

"We are here to save the elf. You are welcome to follow us if you want. We will take whatever is left of him to our quarters." Looking at the destruction caused by the group of misfits and the angry looks on the face of the crowd outside, she quickly concluded that they were the ones to destroy the only place in the city that offered beer. "You won't last long against all of the city. I'd advise you all to follow us. We will protect you from harm."

With not another word she covered herself with her hood while one of the other figures moved to gently take Stride's body from the claws of the umber hulk. Another one of them moved to take the still drooling head, holding it far away from his body to avoid the drool from reaching his robe.

As soon as the hooded group turned their backs, the air went back to normal and the party was free of it's magical hold.
@dragonmancer

2/3 votes for you man! Bonus points for being a race that I've been waiting to join this party for a long time.

On a side note, those potion ingredients got me thinking on how fun it would be to make you find dragon's blood, the dragonsbane and then have the party go on an entire quest to the nearest swamp because there are no salamanders around.
@Banana I don't think I'll die, but I'm into some heavy ass painkillers. Hard to keep track of what you're writing for more than a line or two.
Post made. Shitty as hell as I'm now coughing blood.
@Banana

Shalana was amused by how shocked the half elf became. She had followed his movements for most of his life and never saw him speechless like he was now. "Take a deep breath and relax a little. There is no need to be this tense." She waited a couple seconds as the elf recomposed himself. His robes turned into it's regular crimson tonality, which denoted how quickly he was adapting to this place. "Before I explain why are you here, I think you should know where is here. This is not the real afterlife, but rather a waiting room. You are not dead..." She took a look at the red scar on his next, "Well, you body IS dead. Your soul, on the other hand, has some energy left. This place will keep your energy level stable so we can talk as much as you want."

Shalana took a long look at Tim. The little man was drinking non stop since she arrived and would soon be drunk. It would be better to have him away and avoid that he spilled more than beer in his drunken dumbness. "Tim, would you give me and Stride a moment alone? Take your mug and go drink in the back." With her small helper out of the way, she could safely go on "Now lets move on to the why part. You are here because I need you. I've been following you for more time than you'd expect and your destiny is closely tied to something I deeply wish. Unfortunetely, you were stu..." For a split second, her face betrayed some distain "uncautious enough to stay in the way of an orc's axe. You are lucky, however. I've invested quite a lot on you, and I'd like to offer you a second chance. The question is: do you wish to go back?"
@dragonmancer

I like the concept, but let me get one thing straight:

You have a warrior/mage hybrid with super strenght who's able to fly or create an iron armor around his body capable of using destruction magic and summoning dragons. In MMO terms, you have a DPS CC Mage Tank that also has summons. This character is possibly stronger than the entire party combined. He'd be a great boss, but he doesn't really fits in the power level of the party.

To make things fair, I'd have to tailor the entire campaing to gimping your character.

I like the concept, but I'd tone it down quite a bit. I'll leave what to downgrade up to you, but here's my sugestion:

- Remove the Dragon summon.
- No super strenght OR no magic. An option would be being as strong as a human can be while having some magic abilities.
- Guardian of personal treasures is way too strong of an ability. Invulnerability with offensive powers is not balanced at all. I'd completely remove it.

@6slyboy6 @Banana

Take a look at Dragonmancer's character and let me know what you think of it.
