Audeleiss may have known that his rune would make him the world's best bait.
Hey, sorry guys. I have been following the OOC, but I hadn't gotten around to posting an IC. Hopefully my first is satisfactory?
Jeremy was cold. The room around his was dark. He had no idea where he was or what had happened. All he could think about was Grimrock. A thought came over him, a thought that he wanted to reject, but could not. What if Grimrock was dead? Jeremy tucked his legs to his chest and let his head rest between them and begin to sob. It had been a long time since he had last seen Grimrock and he felt so lonely without him. After about ten minutes of vainly attempting to be brave, he began to realise that he didn't know where he himself was. He looked around, his eyes finally beginning to adjust to the dark and found that his ankle was chained to a heavy ball that he could not move.

"Funny," he thought, "We have these in our local gaol." But he failed to make any connections.

Jeremy got up and began to walk around the room, or as far as he could with the chain round his ankle. He managed to work our that there was a large, foul-smelling bucket one corner of the room, an uncomfortable hay mattress in another and a number of corpses in another. He still had no idea where he was. Leaning up against the back wall of the room, Jeremy began to think deeply about what had happened. He remembered leaving the house with a small knapsack, in search of Grimrock. He shot up "The knapsack!" he exclaimed out loud. He had lost the knapsack - his lifeline - and his only way of casting magic. He tried to remember when the last time he had it was. Suddenly, it began to come together in his head. He had come across a powerful wizard who had put him to sleep, and then he awoke here.

His thoughts were interrupted by a girl about his age entering his cell. She walked over to him and looked at him with deep, almost mournful eyes. Almost excitedly, she whispered to him:
"I shall lead an escape from this dungeon and you shall accompany me. If you follow my every command and ensure my safe passage then I will make sure that you shall live once I escape and regain my powers. Is this satisfactory to you?"

Jeremy had no idea what she was saying, but he heard the word escape, that was enough. After a few seconds of thought, he stuttered: "y-yes". It was obviously what she wanted to hear, for she then stooped down and unlocked him from his chains. He was free.
I agree with Dr_Trapezoid (who has a cool name, I endorse all math references), in that if we do go Hollywood, can we avoid real celebrities?

Sorry, to clarify: What I meant by my third question was the existence of a Rune that makes the act of receiving another Rune much less taxing upon the people (I.e. I get the "rune of [let's call it magic constitution for now] and I can survive the Rune-suturing process with ease for another three runes before it begins to fade.)
Name- Jeremy Smith (will accept a name change if you think another is more fitting)
Age- 8
Gender- Male
Race- (If making one up, please explain): Halfling
Personality- A young and timid boy. His life in the local village has stumped his bravery significantly. He rarely speaks to others and has been known to talk to himself. Quite the introvert, he sees most adults as parent-figures and develops special bonds with young adults. He never cries, but looks constantly timid. He has a deep connection with his head-wizard, Grimrock.
Appearance- (picture or written) He is about 4' 6" with blue eyes and short, grey-blonde hair. He has a slender build (almost skin and bones) with sharp nose and deep set-eyes. His lips are quite small and often quiver. He wears grey clothes that are a little too big for him and have the appearance of rags.

Strengths- Small, fast and hard to hit (especially from ranged attacks). He is also able to fit through tight spaces and can hide well behind objects or in the shadows.
Weaknesses- Being so young, he is easily scared and it does not take much damage to kill him. One hit from the shortest of swords would suffice.

Powers- : Has a small "rune of protection" sutured to his right shoulder, meaning that he will explode upon death (force of roughly three hand grenades).
Equipment- Has a small dagger and three days supply of bread and fruit, all tied up in a knapsack. Hidden in the knapsack, however, is also a gauntlet of major power (I would rather leave said power a secret to the other players, but wouldn't mind sharing it with the GM)

History- He was a young boy who grew up in the local village of Douroughsborough. Most of his life was spent in pleasant naivety. His days mostly involved fishing, sleeping and eating. That was until the day that Grimrock the wizard arrived - Grimrock was a stern old man who took Jeremy on as an apprentice. Jeremy began to learn the basics of magic, but did not have any prowess in magic, as such, and could only perform magic whilst wearing an enchanted object (any would do). One day, Grimrock was not in his lair. Jeremy decided to investigate. He gathered together a few rings and summoned a portal to Grimrock's location, from thence he was captured by another wizard and despite his violent struggle, was forced asleep. He awoke in his cell.
I vote medieval because I'm not too good with celebrities.
I'm in, but I might need some patience and a few pointers. This will be my first advanced RP.

Hey man, is it too late to join the RP? If not, can I have a character who scammed his way on board as a way to get out of a prison sentence?
