Bio

So, a bit about me then: First and foremost, I love to try and create imaginative and creative scenarios, that (I hope) push the very limits of reason and conventional thought. When I RP (mostly in NRPs) I aim to play powerful and big, things that are on the very edge of OP (I usually give my faction a ridiculous disadvantage though, to keep it fair). In other RPs, I tend towards Science Fiction and Modern Fantasy, playing side characters with some interesting quirks to them. I am also keen on trying some Arena RPing, when I get better at writing. Other things about me are that I work as a Mental Health Nurse (who would've guessed), and enjoy gaming and drawing as well. I also play trumpet on the side. I have a rough schedule, so I disappear for a couple of days sometimes. But never assume I am dropping out, I will tell you if I am thinking of it (unless it's really serious).

What? Also Kyelin, check the previous page if you haven't already.

I see. So, it could turn into a messy alien Mexican standoff then? Or, seeing as humans are a little... Technologically impaired (jokes XD), we could end up meeting and both being awfully surprised.

Just a heads up, I'm not entirely use to an RP just shooting off like this into several conflicts and lots of plot elements being given out so quickly. Not that it's a bad thing, I'm just a little slow XD
So, I would most likely be attacking Mandos huh? That works. Though anything could in reality be down there.

I had failed to realize the Terrans had not left the sol system yet, my bad. I guess I could just do something else then. I have several ideas for my faction, so it should work ^^
"Indeed, Korak. The stealth system is a nice touch, very familiar with those in SpecOps... Should be useful later on down the road, right?" Secretly, the agent was probing for more clues as to the nature of this whole ordeal, to see as to how he should best prepare. Something wasn't right: Opus just couldn't let this go, couldn't let it slip from his mind. Perhaps it was just from years of dealing with the paranoid nature of his work, and he was simply uneasy for no good reason. "I must admit though, I am not too familiar with technical matters regarding ships. If you had seen my weapons arrive on the ship, you would probably guess that I am not a mechanic."
Not at Earth, a presumed colony world on a frontier system (I would probably get decimated if I rocked up to Earth XD). To be honest, there could be anything down their, the Hive Minds, Humans, Aliens, whatever. The information given wasn't exactly new, I'm happy to interact with anyone really. The space ghosts are lonely :P
Double post, woops
I hope I'm not forcing people to interact with me, but I needed to post something... Everyone here is building all these cool stories and I'm just sitting here,,, On facebook XD
A low chorus of humming and what could be mistaken for chanting resounded throughout the vast hall, darkly lit and grey. Several Ethereals, both Sisters and Matrons, were kneeling before a disk in a circle, which levitated a good two meters above them. it was unnaturally black, and seemed to be more of a void than an actual physical object, dark energy swirling disturbingly amongst its texture. The humming grew louder, as many thick appendages of darkness shaped like claws extended from it's center, and slowly reached for one of the Sisters. It did not resist as it was grabbed, and lifted towards the disk. It was pulled inside, and let out a short screech, which ended as abruptly as it had started. While horrifyingly painful, this was one of the few ways an Ethereal could truly die, and be Released, but only when She demanded it. The humming ceased, and all stood up, to be addressed by the Goddess.

The Disk spoke in their consciousness, and whispered in many voices, Her voice taking a tight grip on their minds, forcing them to listen:

"Your sacrifice has pleased me greatly, and I offer you the knowledge you seek...
This world holds the first piece of My Being, and must be retrieved. Failure will anger Me greatly...
Smite the Humans found here in My name, and show them that I am to be feared and worshiped...
Their pathetic existence, like all these wretched species, offends Me, and all will be forced to kneel at My feet, and despair...
Now go forth, and spread the Gospel of Govra, Queen and Maker of the End..."

Two Ethereal Ships, shaped similarly to headless humanoid torsos and with many floating and orbiting panels, warped on the very edge of the mysterious planet's sphere of influence, and kept their energy signatures low, to lessen the chances of detection. It was believed Humans could be found here, as well as the Heart, and it was important to not alert them to their presence. If these creatures did indeed possess this Piece of Being, they may attempt to take it off world, and that would be unacceptable. So a small strike team was chosen, and three Matrons. each carrying six Sisters, left the ship, and began to descend towards the planet, attempting to mask their signatures. These scouts would retrieve the Piece, and when they returned, their mission would be complete.
Also, just out of curiosity, who here has nations with colonies? Preferably on frontiers of known space?
It's only ten thirty at night here. And it's my weekend :P
Location: The Void Expanse, Home Fleet
Time: Unknown:

The room was white and sterile, which, combined with the intense lighting, would almost completely blind most organic creatures, and possessed no furniture or equipment of any kind. Three drone like devices orbited around a central silver sphere, it's surface rippling and flowing like mercury, bubbling noxiously and emitting a dull warmth. The machines floated various devices around their points in it's surface, transmitting beams of light into it, and causing the rippling to intensify. Behind them, a tall figure casually observed, it's face ports and panels whirring and clicking together, almost in excitement. A Matron, colored black, a deviation from the standard silver pigmentation of the Special Forces, had stressed to it's superiors it must be present for the activation of their recently acquired relic.

This continued for some time, before the surface of the sphere suddenly exploded outwards, and disintegrated. All that remained was three smaller spheres, having shrunk together from some of the unnatural substance, and began to orbit what seemed to be a small shard, glowing blue and pulsating. The Matron stepped forward and extended one of it's appendages, which rotated and floated from down it's back towards the mysterious device. Several long tendrils extended from the blade, and began to emit light beams of a golden hue into various points in the crystal.

Swelling and fading outwards, the shard disappeared, leaving a hologram with bizarre subtexts from an unknown language. The center piece was a small planet, it's surface pockmarked and covered in foliage, with a single large ocean found on one side of the world. Holographic points formed around it certain locations on the planet, and more unreadable data was presented. But the Matron cared not for what it was saying. For this world was known to them, and they would have no trouble traveling there.

It turned around, and left it's machine servants to continue and sleuth for more clues on the projection. For now, the Overseer had all the data it needed, after all. The only slight problem was that it had already been inhabited by a colony of one of the lesser species. But that issue would be dealt with swiftly when the time arrived.
