Caius gave Callie a smile when she applied salve on his arm. He saw the look on her face. "Don't worry about it. It's just a flesh wound. It'll heal in a few hours... maybe even faster with what you put on it. Believe me, I've had worse." He leaned forward and kissed her cheek. "Let me just put some clothes on and I'll go get that pizza. Any specific flavor you want?" A vampire attack would have worried him but he figured hunger was the most important problem to address at the moment. Talking about what had just happened will have to wait.

He walked over to his closet and took out a fresh pair of jogging pants and a clean shirt. "I think right now I can eat like four whole pizzas," he chuckled.

Claudia nodded. "Well, it was pretty obvious by the way she reacted earlier. Hmmmm... I know she's your daughter and I've promised to love what is yours. But if she attacks me, I might end up killing her. I'm not exactly a vampire loving kind of wolf." she chuckled. "With you as an exception, of course. You're my vampire. Nothing will ever change that..." her voice trailed off as Alex kissed her. She responded hungrily to his touches and the room was soon filled with moans of ecstasy.

Hours later, sated and basking in the afterglow of their love making, Claudia curled up beside her mate. "I'm sure Shade and Sara will get along really well," she chuckled. "Despite the fear and contempt she showed me, I could smell that she wants him. I suppose the same way that I want you." She ran her hand up and down his arm, happy and content to be beside him again. Her eyelids began to flutter close.

"Oh." Remembering her earlier conversation with her brother and Darric, she opened her eyes, propped herself up on her elbows and looked at Alex. "Cai and Darric has asked me to join their pack. I told them I need to talk to you about it first. Will you allow me to?"

If there were fledgeling vampires running around then this place is definitely not safe for the two of them. As soon as they were out of the Coven house, Caius nudged Callie and gestured for her to get on his back. With her light weight, he wouldn't have any trouble carrying her while he ran. As soon as he felt her hands grab onto the fur on the back of his neck, he ran at half of his maximum speed, making sure not to throw her off. He passed by the pizza house and ran all the way back to the place he had rented.

It would have been strange to see a huge wolf lumber through the front door so he decided to pass through the fire exit. Once back in his unit, he changed back to his human form, not bothering to hide his nakedness from Callie.

"Yeah... after all that, I think we should just make a phone order," he grimaced as he looked at the gash the vampire made on his arm.

People were dropping down all around him like swatted flies. Was what killing them airborne? JJ had no time to process it. If it was, then he'd probably keel over like the majority were doing. He sighed. If this was how he'll go then this is how he'll go. He looked around and began dragging some of the collapsed people back into the bunker. It didn't make sense dragging the dead back in so he chose those who were still alive. He didn't have the time to fully assess each and so if they still moved, they were still alive.

A balding man he thought was dead grabbed his leg. "What's happening?" He asked as his body was wracked with coughs. "Are we dying?" He managed to sputter out.

"I hope not." JJ leaned down. "Can you stand? Come on. We have to get you back inside."

The man nodded and draped an arm around JJ's shoulder. JJ heaved until he got the man standing and they both hobbled back into the bunker, the man apparently unable to support his own weight. On the way inside, he spotted a boy younger than him doing the same thing he was doing. He recognized him. Robert something. He was a quiet boy who he had tried to talk to several times during their year long stay in the bunker. But no matter how cheerful he had been, all he could really get out of him was a few sentences. Not that it mattered now.

"Hey. Robert right? Maybe if we work together, we can get people in faster," he noticed that his hand was trembling as he wiped his brow. Effects of whatever was in the air? The radiation? Nothing he can really do about it now. He deposited the man he had been helping to a nearby chair and then charged back out.

Nice post. I'll be making my second post in a few minutes and will have Jae Park interact with your character.

JJ was lounging lazily on his bed when the bunker commander made his announcement. He immediately sat up. They're opening the doors already? He jumped off his bed as the commander continued his announcement. He immediately thought of his family back in Korea. Will he be able to contact them? Will he somehow be able to go to them? He knew that it was an absurd idea but it was all he really could think of at the moment.

He followed the majority of the crowd heading to the door. In a matter of minutes, bright light flooded in and JJ had to squint until his eyes adjusted to the sunlight. He looked around, the younger population had rushed out, some curious to see the outside world, others just wanting to get out. The older population treaded carefully.

JJ waited his turn to be able to walk out the doors, ending up walking beside an old lady. He smiled at her and offered her his arm. The old lady smiled back, took his arm and murmured a soft thank you. Together, they made it out and for the first time in a year, laid eyes on the horrific scene. Stunned, JJ could only stare and didn't notice that the lady on his arm had sagged forward. Her hacking coughs snapped him into focus and he looked towards her. "Mrs. Kitchner, are you alright?" He reached out and supported her as she kept on coughing and clutching at her chest.

"Help! Somebody---" his words were cut off as he looked up and saw people collapse one by one. He looked back at the old lady as she took one last cough and then was silent. He blinked, for a moment at a loss of what to do. He reached out and felt for her pulse. There was none. "Oh my God..." he murmured.

And then from the distance, he heard the sound of gunfire.

No, no, no, it's okay. You've posted. It'll be easier if i changed mine. I don't mind.
Hmmm... I need to change text colors, it seems.

Caius bared his teeth at the vampire, a low menacing growl in his throat. From what he could tell, he was a fledgeling. But the new ones were always the most dangerous. They were relatively stronger, faster and dangerously ruthless. It was not wise to underestimate them.

When the vampire launched himself at him, Caius raised a paw and took a swipe at him, catching him across the chest and flinging him towards the far wall. The wolf didn't waste time, he sprung himself at his opponent, fangs bared and ready to tear him apart.

The fight didn't last very long, Caius proving himself the faster of the two. When he saw his chance, he lunged and clamped his teeth onto the vampires head. A simple jerk of his head tore the vampire's head clean off his neck. He tossed the head aside like it was some unwanted toy and then headed back to where Callie was. He gave her a series of short barking sounds, gesturing with his head towards the room, a clear message asking her to get what she needed so that they could leave.
