Claudia looked at Shade as he came out carrying a kicking, clawing and biting 4 year old kid. Shade did well to hold him securely but it was obvious that he was losing his patience by the look on his face. The child's instinct was probably telling him that it was a vampire carrying him and it seemed like he was not tolerating it too well. Not wanting to burden Shade any longer, Claudia hurried forward and took the boy. A look of relief came over the vampire's face.

Automatically, the little boy wrapped his arms around Claudia's neck. He was so small and he was shivering in fear. She reached up and stroked his head. "There, there. You're safe now," she assured in a soft voice. The boy, probably exhausted from fear and crying, immediately fell asleep in Claudia's arms.
@Wick Yup, moving it was a good idea.

Geometry is ugh but I somehow made it through that. >_< I hate Physics. I failed that in college. Took it a second time (cause I needed to pass it to graduate) and passed. After that, I swore that I won't ever go into a post grad course or work that had Physics in it. But guess what, I eventually ended up with it. LOL.
@Caits

Callie was right even if she didn't know it. It bothered Caius that he was a werewolf and she was a human. Not in the sense that they were of different species but more because he was afraid that he might put her in danger or worse, he'd hurt her. Of course, he would go to all lengths to protect her, even laying down his life to keep her safe. But sometimes things just have a way of screwing everything up. There was still that chance that he himself would hurt her. Different possible scenarios played through his mind as he closed his eyes.

He could hear her heart beating fast in her chest. He heard her walk towards him. He was just about to open his mouth to assure her that he was perfectly fine sleeping in the couch and that she shouldn't worry about him when he felt her lips against his. He opened his eyes and stared straight into her brown ones. "You made it the best..." she said. Somehow the words made him happy but at the same time embarrassed him. "Uh... you're welcome, I guess," he said, flustered at her nearness. He felt the pull, that desire to take her into his arms again.

Claudia Aluredes & Annika Prescott

Annika was sitting in the living room when Claudia walked out of Alex's room. She had her eyes closed and looked as though she was sleeping. She didn't move and unlike most of the other vampires she spent her time with, this one didn't bother with the pretense of breathing. With her delicate features, she looked like a doll. Claudia walked over to her, watching her warily. Another Prescott. Another original. She wasn't sure if she was a friend or someone she should be careful around. Lately she had been getting used to being around vampires. Trusting them too much might prove hazardous to her health. Or at least those that didn't belong to the household.

"Claudia, was it?" Annika slowly opened her eyes. She turned her head slightly towards the couch and nodded her head at it. "Sit. I am not someone you should be wary of. I have no intentions of harming you."

Claudia stared at her for a few moments before she decided to accept the vampire's invitation to sit. There was no sense in being hostile. The Prescotts will soon be her family. This one was a Prescott too. But not being hostile didn't mean that she should be lax. Practicing caution would be wise.

As soon as Claudia took a seat, Annika gave her a small smile. "My name is Annika. Ani, if you will," she introduced herself graciously. Her green eyes studied Claudia carefully. "I was afraid you would not make it with the amount of injuries you had last night. It would have been a shame if you had not survived. I would have missed this chance to talk and see why Alex would want to marry a wolf."

Annika's straightforward way of speaking would have irritated Claudia. But there was something about her, a sense of serenity and sadness that was relaxing and automatically put her at ease. "I would have been happy just to stay by his side. Even without marriage. But...I'm beyond happy that he would want to be with me the way I want to be with him." Her words earned her an approving smile from the vampire.

"You have imprinted on Alex, have you not? It is such a rare thing to see between two so very different species. I am... intrigued. Will you allow me to attend your wedding?"

Claudia's eyes widened at the question. It was unexpectedly respectful. "Of course. The Prescotts are Alex's family. And soon to be mine."

Annika paused for a moment. "Where is your brother?"

Claudia blinked. She was sure that she nor Caius had never encountered the vampire before. "How do you---"

Annika smiled. "It does not take a mind reader to see that you are missing something. While Alex is no doubt your other half, there is still something missing. A sibling is the most plausible guess."

Claudia sighed. The vampire was terribly insightful and she was right. "He belongs with his mate and has followed after her."

Annika gave her another gentle smile. "Do not worry. He will come if you ask him to."

Claudia smiled back and decided that she actually liked the vampire. "Thank you," she murmured and then belatedly realizing that she looked familiar, she tilted her head. "Ani... Annika... you don't happen to be Annika Luminova, are you?"

Annika raised an eyebrow in surprise. "I did not think anyone in America would recognize who I am." She chuckled. "But yes, I am she that you speak of."

@Aeternum I can only imagine how difficult it is to be in a course you're not happy in. :(

Claudia nodded and quietly followed after Alex. She remained silent and stayed several steps behind him. He had barely opened the door to the building when she raised her nose to the air. There was a werewolf in the building. Extremely young and deathly scared. Her excellent sense of hearing heard his heart beating faster than it normally should. She glanced towards the building, feeling her temper flare up. What was a pup doing in a place like this? Why was he scared? Why was he being held against his will? She was half tempted to shift into her wolf form, barrel into the building and take the child out. Where was the child's parents? Have they been killed? Different thoughts ran through her head as she silently paced back and forth.

But as promised, she held back and waited for Alex to finish taking care of his business in there.
Caius, Claudia & Scott

Location: Carson City, Callie's shop
Time and Date: 13th of March 2017, 0930

Scott turned his green eyes back to Callie. They were cool, cunning, feral and frightening all at the same time. The eyes of a predator. He stared at her for the longest moment, his eyes looking as though they were probing into her very soul. "I suppose the different scents led me here. A sense of familiarity from these two..." he gestured towards the twins. "And a certain curiosity as why this place smells strangely of the wild and at the same time of...civilization." He began walking around inspecting the bottles and vials on display. He picked a bottle up, uncapped it and took a whiff of the contents. His brow furrowed and he immediately capped the bottle and placed it back in its place.

"For someone who looks like some sort of prince, he definitely looks out of place," Claudia mumbled, watching the strange vampire as he picked up a vial of a reddish fluid that looked like blood. "Hey, Scott, right? That's probably not what you think it is. It's perf---" Too late.

Scott blinked and hissed. He almost dropped the vial. But he caught himself and immediately replaced the cap "Humans have strange fascinations with scents that are...offensive," he commented with distaste.

Claudia bursted out laughing. "I agree with that in a lot of ways." She wasn't particularly fond of vampires. But this Original was fascinating. It was almost as if he was one of them.

Caius chuckled, obviously understanding what he meant. "Not all humans wear offensive scents." he leaned down and nuzzled Callie's neck, inhaling her scent. "I know mine doesn't," he murmured.

Scott turned his strange eyes towards Claudia, her laughter finally making him smile. And then his stare landed on Caius and Callie. "Yes, her scent is... milder than most." He crinkled his nose at another bottle he had opened. "What is the purpose of this establishment? Does it serve to give humans scents that would..." he trailed off and a thoughtful look settled over his face as he tried to look for the right words.

"Drive away our kind and your kind," Claudia finished for him. Scott nodded and both he and the female werewolf turned their attentions to Callie. Claudia had an amused look on her face while Scott looked serious. "You know, Callie, I've always wondered about that," she said teasingly. "Although I know that even if you douse yourself with the most offensive of scents, Caius would still stay by your side."

@Aeternum Oh. :(
@Aeternum I think the best thing to do is find what you want to do and direct your path towards that. I mean, why not change your major if you don't like it? Is it not allowed?
