Interaction: Yvonne Elaine King, The Table

Lee was waiting to find out what Yvonne did for a living but before she could answer, the music stopped. The actor turned his head towards the stage and watched the balding man deliver his announcement. Dinner would be served and then an announcement from the CEO, the long awaited event for everyone was finally gonna be starting. "Let the festivities begin," he said, finished his beer and then stood up. "We should catch up again sometime," he gave Yvonne a grin and then waited for her to walk ahead of him before he headed towards his own table.

As he made his way to the table, he heard several people calling out his name. Turning his head, he gave those people smiles and acknowledgement nods, thankful that they were all grounded on their chairs in preparation for dinner. He didn't want a reprise of the earlier events. He also passed by the table with the woman from earlier sitting beside two other females. As he walked by, he could feel her sharp gaze on him. Another person he was glad not to be sitting with. A look of disappointment was on her face when he walked past and he heard a loud, exaggerated sigh.

As he neared his own table, he was pleasantly surprised to find out that it was the same table Yvonne stopped at. Apparently, she was seated in the same table as he was. He had no real problems with conversing with people but it was always nice to actually know someone in a table full of strangers. When he heard her tell the group what she did for a living, he gave a small nod of appreciation. He had always thought artists were interesting people.

He watched Yvonne take a seat and then let the pretty Japanese woman introduce herself before he spoke up. "Hi! I'm Leon Walsh. Some people might know me more as Ethan. I'm an actor and a model. It's a pleasure to meet you all." He made a plain introduction and then gave the current occupants of the table a friendly smile before taking his seat.

"The trick is to say it really fast."

Hmmm... Sasha repeated the name in her head. It seemed okay saying it fast in her head but she wondered how she'd do saying it out loud. She'd probably botch it big time and not wanting to embarrass herself or to offend Hangyeol, she didn't try. Maybe at a later time when she's gotten used to it. Maybe. Lost in her thoughts, she didn't really notice how her offer of friendship somehow managed to make Hangyeol uncomfortable. And before she could notice anything amiss, she heard a scream. Her head snapped towards where it came from just as her new acquaintance asked about it.

"Same," she muttered in response as she watched him hurry towards the stairs, wondering if she should do the same. But then what help could she give? Would her presence there help or would she be just getting in the way? Sighing and deciding against meddling in whatever was happening, she decided to walk towards the couch where Venus was. Better to be around a familiar face that try to wander around the already crowded hall full of near drunk and seriously drunk people.

Approaching the couch, she gave her room mate a smile. "Hey Venus," she greeted as she leaned down and placed her untouched plate onto the table by the couch. As she stood up, she offered the rest of the people there a smaller smile. "Hi."

"It must suck. Having to deal with... all of that,"

Yvonne's words made Lee think back to another conversation with Brent, one that happened before he got his big break.

"Seriously, there will be no privacy, no alone time. Every single moment, you'll have a camera trained on your ass. I should know, I've trained people in the movie business and most of them complain about that. No walking in the streets without being mobbed. Everyone would know your name, everyone would want a piece of you. Are you ready for that? I can't be with you all the time to act as your bodyguard, you know?"

"You're so sure about me getting all famous like that. I'm just doing extras and a few modelling gigs, nothing big."

"Come on, dude. You're bound to get your big break soon. Your mom believes you'll be the most famous actor of all times. Your siblings believe that too. So naturally, I will too. Heck, even your cat believes in you. Isn't that right, Snow?" he looked towards a white Persian cat perched on the edge of the bed.

The cat, hearing her name, cracked open one blue eye lazily, gave a small 'mrrow', yawned and then settled back to sleep again.

"See? She said mrrow. That's a definite yes, dude."

Lee laughed. "Well, time will tell, I guess. If I do become famous, I'll make sure to bring your along all the time to keep the girls off me," he chuckled. "I'm sure it's not gonna be a big deal. I mean, how hard can it be? Act, appear in the movies, say hi to the fans, sign a few autographs here and there, pose for pictures. It's gonna be a walk in the park."

It really wasn't. As soon as he was branded an A-lister, his whole world changed. There really was no privacy, no hanging out in the malls or anywhere public without being mobbed. He looked around, several women grinned when they thought he was looking at them. Once again, he wondered what came over him and decided to join TAP. He was probably just setting himself up for a major headache. Maybe he should have just stayed home.

He turned his attention back to Yvonne and sighed. "Sometimes it really does. I mean, at first it was cool. Knowing that you did a good job and everyone appreciates you for it. But when everyone starts being too touchy and crowding you so much... well, you saw what happened earlier. And I'm really sorry for grabbing on to you and making you my life line." He laughed and then nodded. "A food fight would have been epic."

"Anyway, you're right about me being busy. That was actually the reason why I'm here. Just to get away from all that. I felt the need to do something different before I burn myself out. Vacation... Fun... If I find someone I click with then that'd a bonus. I honestly didn't think I'd have to deal with the fame here too," he shrugged. "Stupid, I know. But enough about me, tell me about you, Von. My last memory of you is that epic food fight," he chuckled. "What do you do for a living?"

Caius reached out and grasped Callie's hand. As she was speaking, he squeezed her hand in assurance. After she was finished speaking, he leaned towards her and whispered into her ear. "We'll be okay as long as we're together. And we are now. So you can put your mind at rest." He sat back on his chair. "Let's make plans then." he started, his voice taking on a leader like tone. "We should have Callie demonstrate to us the spells we might be facing. Have all the wolves watch her moves, watch how she delivers the spell, observe every single movement she does. It could give us a clue of our opponents' movements."

Darric nodded in agreement. "Yes, I agree. I shall call every single wolf, including the young ones. Although they will not be fighting with us, we should all be ready. No exceptions."

Claudia nodded in agreement as well, her face serious just like the two other wolves in the room. "We should get to it as soon as we can. I doubt those witches would give us a lot of time to prepare. Hell, they might even attack tomorrow." She turned towards Callie. "Can you put up a protective spell around this area? Just something that would alert us if they come this way," she asked politely.

Caius wasn't finished. He turned towards Callie, a serious look on his face. "I need you to do something for me. I need you to hit me with all the spells that you know." He continued before she could even say anything. "I need to know how to evade and how to deal with it if I get hit."

The Asian guy in front of her was making a generous offer but it would definitely be strange for her to be asking a person she just met to clean her clothes. Besides, Sasha was pretty good with removing stains herself. It was one of the things that her grandmother taught her. "For when you have your own home and you want everything to be clean and spotless." It was what she always said. The memory gave Sasha a warm feeling. Despite it being years since she passed away, she still missed her grandmother so much.

Pushing aside reminiscing about the older lady to a later time, she turned her attention back to her new acquaintance. She politely declined the offer with a shake of her head. "Really, it's okay. I can take care of it. Thanks for the offer though." Consciously, she looked down at the stain. Orange against blue. It really wasn't that bad but then maybe she really needed to remove it. "No stains should be left unattended," her grandmother's voice echoed in her head.

Sasha almost laughed. ะดะฐ, ะฑะฐะฑัƒัˆะบะฐ. she thought to herself.

A little guilty that her mind kept drifting somewhere else, she turned it back to the present, determined to keep it there. Hangyeol Yoon. A Korean name. It was both strange and fascinating to hear his name. She tried saying it out loud, her tongue not familiar with the pronunciation of the foreign name. When it came out sounding a little strange, she gave him a small embarrassed smile. "I'm sorry. I'm sure I'll get the hang of saying your name in time," she apologized immediately. "You're Korean, right? she smiled prettily this time. "My first Korean friend then...if you don't mind me calling you a friend." And then she shook her head. "No, I'm not from around here. I'm from Russia."

But it was exactly where Claudia was going. As soon as the words were out of Callie's mouth, she looked pointedly at her brother.

"No. I know that look Claudia," Caius said.

Claudia laughed. "But you haven't even looked at me, Cai," she complained. "But seriously. THAT is the fastest and easiest way to make her one of us..." When Caius didn't respond, she shrugged and the expression on her face became serious. She looked at Darric. "Anyway, plans, right? We have to make sure those wretched shits don't get a shot like that at Caius again. I'm ready and willing to tear out their throats with your pack anytime, anywhere." She looked at Caius next. "Don't be stupid and getting in the way of spells like that again. God or not, you might not be as lucky next time. Especially since the humans we're up against aren't idiots. They would bring more firepower knowing that you somehow survived a spell that was supposed to kill you." She looked at Callie last. "You. I suggest you decide what you wanna do, turn yourself into one of us or not. It's up to you. Caius won't be making that decision for you. Either way, you're in this as much as we are. I'm not the most pleasant person to deal with but when it comes down to it, I'll make sure to protect you for my brother's sake."

And then it was Caius' turn to speak. He looked at Callie for a second before addressing their group, his voice as serious as Claudia's. "We'll need all the wolves for this. We'll have the young ones sit this one out. They're too impulsive, we would have to keep an eye on them and we need to focus on this fight." He turned to Callie again and spoke in a softer tone of voice. "Claudia is right, you'll have to decide what you wanna do. But meanwhile, we need information on how many witches are there and what kind of spells they'd throw at us."

Relieved that she decided to play along with the little charade, Lee grinned and returned the hug. "It does, doesn't it? How have you been? You look really good," he said in an equally modulated voice, just loud enough to be heard. As soon as the crowd he had narrowly escaped dispersed, he relaxed and settled down onto the bar stool next to his 'high school buddy.' "You are now officially my favorite person in the world," he said as he reached for his beer. He clinked his glass with Yvonne's before bringing it to his lips and taking a gulp.

"Oh yeah, superb acting skills there. Better than some actresses I've encountered," Lee assured with a nod, chuckling softly. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw the woman who had asked for his number stare at them for a few seconds before stomping away towards the opposite direction, stiletto heels clicking on the polished floor. "Seriously, thanks for that save. I really appreciate it. It felt as though they were ready to tear me apart there," he rubbed the back of his neck. It wasn't exactly the kind of start he had imagined for his vacation. Well... there was a big possibility that it would happen and it really did... but whatever. He still thought that this trip might be fun and he didn't really wanna back out.

Satisfied that being busy with an 'old friend' provided him the temporary protection of being mobbed, he relaxed a bit more. He laughed at Yvonne's words. "Well, that goes without saying, doesn't it? How could I forget your name, Yvonne? Remember that time when we skipped Mrs. Anders' class just to get ice cream? Or that time I pranked you with a rubber snake and you were so angry you wanted to kill me," he grinned at the made up memories, obviously enjoying making them. "My name is Leon Walsh, by the way. Lee for short but Ethan to most. Of course, you're free to call me whichever name you want. I mean, old buddies, right?"

"Oh, thanks," Sasha said when the plate stabilized in her hands, thanks to Hangyeol's helping hand. "Guess we both weren't really paying attention to where we were going." She looked down at her shirt. While most girls she knew would fuss about a small stain, she wasn't really concerned much about it. Expect maybe for the stickiness. "No, it's fine. I'm not soaked and this is an old shirt anyway. Maybe I should let it seep in. A stain or two might even make it more fashionable," she grinned.

Finding it a good opportunity to socialize a bit, Sasha decided to be a friendly. It was, after all, the whole purpose of this party...well, ideally. She had a suspicion most of the people just wanted to get stoned and wasted. The guy in front of her wasn't really familiar to her even though they were on the same floor but he looked nice enough. What's the harm in making a new friend? So far, the only people she had spoken to properly since she got here was her room mate, Venus and Adam, who was still throwing catch guy empty beer bottles to catch. No bottles breaking but no one was telling them to stop either. "Anyway...hello. My name is Aleksasha. Sasha, for short. I would have liked it if we met without the collision and the threat of food spilling all over the floor but I guess it could be worse." She offered him a small smile.
@MarshiestMallow

"I say let her do it. I mean, yeah, she did bring this whole shit down on us but it's not actually her fault those bitches are whack jobs. And she said it herself, she doesn't wanna be a witch anymore..." Claudia paused, a thoughtful look crossing her face. "I'd probably like her better if she did turn herself into one of us. And imagine. A wolf with magical powers. That means serious firepower," she grinned.

"This is the first time we'll be dealing with an unnatural wolf," Darric pointed out.

"Seriously. She's been yapping about how she knows her stuff. If I were her and I'm not sure what I'm doing, I wouldn't even suggest it," Claudia argued.

"Yeah, you would," Caius interjected dryly.

"Well, good thing she's not me then," Claudia laughed. "Anyway, I said my part. In the end, it all boils down to what you think, Cai."

Darric nodded.

"No, it all depends on what Callie wants to do," Caius said, looking at Callie. "If you want to do it then you'll have my support."

"Besides, if she goes rogue, we have the two halves of Fenrir here to control her, don't we?"

God, what did I get myself into? Lee found himself thinking twice about his decision on joining TAP when a small group of women, including a few men began gathering around him. Some of the women were becoming touchy. One scantily clad woman was running a well manicured nail up and down the lapel of his coat while a taller, more modestly dressed one was pressing herself to his side, urging another female to take their photo. "Why don't we exchange numbers, Ethan?" came a not so discreet whispered request into his ear. "If you're giving her your number, you should give it to me too," a guy wearing a sharp black suit piped up.

"Lee, you're an A lister now. You can't just go in public and not be expected to be mobbed. Most of everyone would want a photograph with you or an autograph. Hell, some would even want to have your babies right then and there. Believe me, it's gonna be hell. I can't say I envy you, man." He remembered his bestfriend, Brent, saying. "I mean, those days of hanging outside Jen's Diner til way past midnight are long gone. It has its merits, don't get me wrong, but that pretty face of yours will never go unnoticed anymore. There's Ethan Walsh! Look guys! I'm gonna die!" the full time gym instructor pretended to faint comically.

Of course, Brent was right and this was a very very bad idea. He should have known better.

He drained his martini in one gulp. "Sorry guys, I'm not in the habit of giving away my number. You know, too many messages that I can't really reply to because of my schedule and..." he laid the glass onto the bar, his eyes scanning the crowd for some sort of excuse. His eyes landed on a woman wearing a black polka dotted dress and a beer in her hand. "I see an old friend there. If you guys will excuse me..." he didn't wait for any of them to respond and immediately removed himself from the scene that was quickly becoming unpleasant. There were just too many people wanting to invade his personal space.

"I'll have one of those too, bartender," he said as he stopped beside Yvonne. "Hi, my name is Lee. Please. Just play along for a little bit. Pretend like we know each other from...uh... high school or something," he begged in a low voice as he gave her a smile.
