Witches and Hunters
back in 1692, a series of people were burned at stake, drowned, and stoned because they were thought to be witches. these were the famous salem witch trials and they caused quite the uproar and hysteria. magical folk fled their hometowns in fear of being discovered like their friends had and abandoned the lives they had led till that point. they started over, created something, and most importantly, some turned their homes into safe havens for the younger generations to properly train. this was how Miss Robichaux's Academy for Exceptional Young Ladies and Sir Magnus Barron's School for Gifted Boys came to be.

for nearly two centuries now, the schools and their staff have acted as caretakers and teachers to the young children lucky enough to safely arrive. they are taught their history and how to master their powers as well as discover powers they didn't know they had. the schools became their homes until they graduated and moved onto greater things. some, however, do choose to stay. who could blame them really. the world is dangerous for a witch. reveal yourself to the wrong person and your life could end rather abruptly.

it seems that everything has become just a little bit more dangerous in these modern times. it's as if witches across the world have been thrown back into 1692.

after a day out and away from Sir Magnus, the boys of the coven came back to find their coven completely destroyed on the inside. furniture was turned over and doors were ripped right off of their hinges. somebody, or more likely, some people came looking for them and when they hadn't found a single witch in sight, they took it out on the staff that had remained at home that day. the dead bodies were seemed to have been thrown around just like the furniture.

the witch council was ready to give them a new home when word was received of a murder at Miss Robichaux's. the supreme had been smothered in her sleep, leaving the girls without a leader and without the proper knowledge to perform the seven wonders themselves. they were vulnerable and in need of some desperate help. as it seemed, the death of their supreme wasn't caused by a witch hunter or else all of the girls would have been killed as she was and the scene would have been far bloodier.

this changed the original decision of the council. the boys needed a new home and the girls needed help. it worked out well for the council. the boys were sent to Miss Robichaux's.

the council was hopeful that with the supreme from Sir Magnus' being rather young, it would be easier for him to help guide the girls to finding their new supreme. however, what that very supreme has kept so well as a secret is that he lacks in power. he can't manage more than one of his powers at a time without becoming feint.

His weakness does not help with a traitor living in the house the girls don't know about yet. A traitor among the butlers who already has the most threatening name on his list of kills.

let's not forget the rise of witch hunters again. they already found one coven. who's not to say they won't stumbleupon Miss Robichaux's? who's not to say they haven't already?

Welcome to Death Falls, a Canadian town surrounded by mountains and lakes with quite the history behind it. With a population of about 30,000 people, Death Falls, at first glance, seems to be a small but nonetheless painfully average town. Upon closer inspection, however, the town's many wonders become evident.

The town earns quite a bit of tourism due to the large, famous river that runs into an even larger waterfall along the treeline of the woods - and along with this people come for the history that death falls holds behind it. Centuries ago a battle took place in these woods that ended in the loss of hundreds upon hundreds of lives. The corpses of the deceased had been washed away in the infamous waterfall, making it a literal fall of death. The name Death Falls stems from the town's waterfall, as well as the history that some citizens of the town hold quite a bit of pride in.

However, Death Falls is not all it seems at first glance. While it seems to be nothing more than a small town with an alarmingly high crime rate, Death Falls is one of many "supernatural hotspots" in North America, due to the nemeton located among ancient ruins up in the nearby mountains. For hundreds of years Death Falls has been home to this invisible population of supernaturals that most in the town have yet to become aware of, due to the fact that these supernaturals usually masquerade as normal people.

It goes without saying that the supernatural presence in Death Falls and the neemton located there had something to do with the infamous battle that took place hundreds of years ago. Centuries ago the public was well aware of the presence of supernatural beings, and hunters of the supernatural weren't nearly as uncommon as they are today. Thousands of innocent lives, both supernaturals and human, were lost throughout Death Falls' history due to the misinformation and prejudices against supernaturals, and to make matters worse it had seemed as though the supernatural population in Death Falls was unable to band together in the time that such a thing was needed the most. The infamous battle Death Falls is known for was the result of an all out war between werewolves, werecoyotes, humans, and plenty of other species. This aspect of the town's history was lost in time, however, and the supernatural population of Death Falls has pushed aside their prejudices and have since learned to live alongside each other in secrecy from those who may wish to harm them.

Modern days have seen the coming and going of many different supernatural species in Death Falls, many of which were previously unheard of or thought to be extinct. Most humans in the area still remain unaware of the growing supernatural presence in their town, though there are still those who attempt to keep the supernatural population under control through hunting down those who have committed atrocities - as well as other, more dangerous hunters who wish to rid the world of supernaturals entirely, regardless of the hunter's code that most swear to heed. And with more and more lives being lost in Death Falls as a direct result of supernaturals, more and more of these hunters are beginning to swarm the town.

It's a classic tale, really, one of princesses and princes. Kingdoms, struggles, power plays, and marriage. Set in the modern world, there are ten children, five beautiful princesses and five dashing princes. These children were born heirs and heiresses to their own small kingdom and for the first ten years of their lives they lived together in a location virtually unknown to the rest of the world. As their parents' first born children, however, there was an incredible amount of responsibility placed on their shoulders from the moment they were born. The kings and queens had decided, even before their children were born, that they would be arranged to marry each other. It was beneficial for everyone, after all. Their fates were, in many ways, intertwined.

In time, the ten of them parted ways, each to walk their own path in life for the next decade. However, now the time has come. Many of the kings and queens are beginning to consider stepping down. To further cement their alliances with each other, it simply seems to be the time to put their plan in motion. The princes and princesses are to be married by the end of summer. They have four months to get reacquainted and, you guessed it, get hitched. Except, there's one small issue, their parents are expecting a bunch of twenty somethings to go through with this incredibly antiquated ritual... with no complaints? With no repercussions? Yeah, that's probably not going to fly. Royalty or not, these kids have grown up and have lives, responsibilities -- they might even already be in committed relationships.

Her ears and her teeth become longer with pointed tip, Her emerald eyes lose their vibrancy and turns inky black. Even her hair changes to a grayish silver.

She had heard about Foxbridge through the Seelie grapevine, curiosity and hope for a home drove her to go looking for the place she had only heard through rumors. She wasn’t expecting it to be real, but she was glad it was.

Davina is a smart, care-free and down to earth girl. she has a soft and warm exterior. however, she can can be very friendly or snarky when she chooses to, but usually that depends on what mood she's in. she can be very closed up at times as she tries her best to not let anyone besides her best friends she care for get close to her to keep herself from getting hurt emotionally and physically. at times she has this energy inside her that oftentimes thrusts her into the spotlight - but that isn't always where she wants to be; she would rather prefer to stay low-key.

SMALL BIO
Davina Templeton was born in Brooklyn, New York. On the twentieth of November to a lovely Brùnaidh couple, Airiana Elysia and Aiden Templeton. She was raised in a atmosphere surrounded by love in the apartment above her family Cafe "A Taste of Home".
From a young age, Her parents taught her how to use her seelie magic to hide her pointed ears so that she can blend in with humanity. They also taught her the old and new ways of the Seelie. She is talented in bending the magic to her will to help in cleaning, cooking, baking. And just generally using magic to make everyone feel at home in their little cafe.

Recently her parents passed away, leaving her “A Taste of Home” and the apartment she grew up in. But for her, Her parents death even the made the feeling of home and warth was gone. Many Fae of the Seelie court of New York tried to bring her out of her gloom but was unable to pull even a smile from her. Thinking it was best to leave and try to make her own home somewhere else, She listened to some of the traveling Fae who had heard or been to Foxbridge. She packed up all her stuff, and sold her family home and cafe to move Foxbridge. Following the instructions of the traveling Fae, she made her way to Foxbridge. When she first arrived she was surprised to see so many different creatures in one spot, only ever being around humans or other faes of both the seelie and unseelie courts it was like a breath of fresh.

As she walked around town, She felt that feeling that she thought she had lost forever. She finally found a place she could call her new home. Smiling to herself, She quickly rented one of the rooms in the local inn. She made a promise to herself that day, That she would use gifts to help others feel at home in Foxbridge too.

Upon meeting her, Lyra is what you would call a “cutie.” she fits the title well; she’s short for a nineteen year old girl (in her opinion anyways), her voice is soft and clear, and her smile could make flowers grow. she doesn’t speak unless spoken to, which usually gives people who don’t know her well the impression that she’s quiet and shy. well, yeah, she’s quiet, but she’s also comfortable in social situations and usually doesn’t struggle talking to others. She makes friends easily because it’s hard to dislike her and even harder to be mad at her. I mean, just look at her. I know, right?

Beneath the gummy smile and the gentle and soft-spoken exterior is a girl with a surprising amount of snark. She makes the sarcastic remarks and somewhat morbid comments, When she thinks only her real friends can hear her make them. She also curses a lot. Once she starts pulling out the swear words around you, You know you’re fairly close to her, or at least close enough to where she thinks you won’t badmouth her to your mutual friends. That’s another thing: Trix is distrustful to a fault. She always instinctively thinks the worst of everyone because in her eyes everyone’s got an ulterior motive. everyone’s a jealous, greedy, gossiping liar until proven otherwise.

Even though she has super-low standards for humanity, Trix still treats everyone equally and with kindness so long as they don’t piss her off. Though her oftentimes bleak observations and pessimistic worldview suggest otherwise, She has a very optimistic belief that things will get better as long as you put in the effort to make it better – whatever it takes. She’s a hardworking girl who never leaves her friends hanging if she can help it. People who make her mad quickly see that she is not just "all bark and no bite", She willing to get down and dirty to make her point come across or to keep her friends safe. She promised herself along time ago she will never let herself be a victim again. Even her words can make someone feel as small as an ant with stinging insults. When she’s pushed too far, however, she closes herself off from everyone and gets more stressed if people bother her, No matter how good their intentions may be. It takes time for her to recover enough to interact with others again.

Upbringing Synopsis

Lyra Beatrix Silva, was born in the morning on April 1, 1997 to Liam Evans and Esperanza Silva. Esperanza or Hope as she liked to be called, was a travel photographer and painter. She met Liam on a trip to Los Angeles to visit her family. The two married after only 6 months, and Hope was pregnant just weeks afterwards. Things had started out well enough at first, Hope came from a wealthy family, and with their help she and her husband and their young daughter were able to live a comfortable, upper class life. But Hope yearned to return to the stage, to her life before all of its changes. She sat in the parlor and stared beautiful photos that she took in the past or painted places she had been to everyday. To appease herself, She began teaching her Daughter. Lyra learned about photography, art and how to walk at the same time. Her mother stayed at home and raised her while her father worked. If Lyra had been older, maybe she would have noticed the signs. The dinners tossed into the trash, The untouched pill bottles, The way she sometimes sat on the piano bench and stared out the window for long periods of time and snapped at her in a way she never snapped at her if she bothered her. She left a note and a promise to keep in touch, but she still left. Lyra was nine.
The loss hit Lyra’s father hard to say the least. Here was a man who had given up his dreams of becoming a writer to support his wife and their daughter (who, if he was honest, had been a complete accident). Here was a man whose wife left him with nothing more than a note, a dead end office job, and the responsibility of a young child. Lyra’s father turned to alcohol, He quit the office job and began writing again, eventually taking up odd jobs to scrape together a living when the Silvas' refused to completely support them. For a while Liam and Lyra lived this way, but their relationship remained distant due to the drinking and perpetual silence.

It wasn’t until Lyra was twelve and her father began trying to get his “fucking memoirs” (as Lyra likes to call them) published that problems started occurring. Lyra’s father would take out his frustration on his daughter. First, It was just yelling and cursing, But this soon escalated into full out drunken, severe physical abuse. She would be dragged around by her hair, thrown down the stairs, and choked until she was begging for air. Lyra at time pondered suicide, At times, she would take comfort in playing the piano in the parlor. It was an activity she associated with just the good memories of her mother, and she was very good at it to boot.

One day, when Lyra was fourteen and hadn’t been careful enough to check that her father was at work, The man walked in on her painting. That night, Lyra heard her father dragging large photo frames and easels outside, the splintering of wood, and the cackling of fire devouring the photos and paintings. a week later. She tried suicide, it turned out that medicine gets less potent over time, so instead of shutting down her heart, the pills in the cabinet just made her vomit a lot. She figured she should end it before her father found out what she’d tried to do, so a couple days later she attempted to hang herself from the ceiling fan in her bedroom. She didn’t half-ass it either: The knots in the rope around her neck were secure, and she’d tested her weight on the ceiling fan beforehand. It almost worked but a neighbor saw her jump from the chair through the window and alerted her father, who got her down right before he punched her in the face. Regardless, the incident must have scared her father. Because Lyra was left alone for a while, She collected herself and reduced her depression from a storm to just a cloud. Eventually she began to think about her future.

Though Lyra made it clear that she wanted to pursue art at least as an extracurricular if not as a career, Her father vehemently refused. When Lyra actually stood up and argued back at her father about the subject, The man threatened to kick her out if she didn’t pursue something more worthwhile, like medicine or economics. Shortly after this declaration, Her father actually got those fucking memoirs published. He gave some of the money to Lyra, before grabbing the bags he packed for her and her out of his house. And that’s basically the sad story of Lyra’s life. Oh, sure, there are brighter moments– She’s always been able to lean on at least a few people for support, Like her mother's family would always try to help and the friends who don’t know anything about it still help her in some way, of course.

The time she spent outside of the house was okay, even pleasant sometimes. The abuse continued to the day she was kicked out; the only difference was that her father could inflict it while sober. Still, Lyra’s glad that her father kicked her out. The day her father kicked her out she called her mother's family. They helped her to move to California to live with her Aunt Amaranta and Cousin Orion, At first, She was bit weary to be living with her aunt and cousin. But thanks to her cousin's help, She found herself enjoying her new life and friendships. Gone was the sad, scared Lyra. In her place stood Trix, A girl who was stronger and not willing to let anyone hurt again.

On her Sixteenth birthday, Her Aunt had told her that she had gained full custody over Lyra. Orion congratulated her and told her now they were more than just cousins, They were brother and sister. He hoped that she would rely on him more with any problems, no matter how small. When she graduated high school and learned both her and Orion got accepted at Woodford University, she couldn't believe her luck. Sure, She didn't get a full ride scholarship like Orion. But she still made it without needing to ask that man for money. She received a partial scholarship and her Aunt covered the rest of her school fees.

Personality Traits

Orion is very optimistic. He loves to enjoy life and try new things. He somehow manages to find the good in everything and knows how to make the best out of the worst situations. Seldom is he seen in a sour mood and if he is, then the situation must be very grave. But even then he tends to laugh his problems away. However, his optimism can sometimes be confused as being naive or even oblivious to the harsh realities of the world.

He is extremely passionate and loyal, whether it be to people or his beliefs. He will stand up for anything or anyone dear to him. It makes him stubborn at times, which can either be a blessing or a curse. Especially, when it comes to Lyra. He loves and respects her the most out of everyone else in his family.

First and foremost, Addison is very goofy. He’s corny and second of all, a cheesy romantic. Because of this, most people are unable to take him seriously or trust him easily. But contrary to popular belief, he is not a player. Yes, he’s had multiple girlfriends and boyfriends before but never simultaneously. He also only flirts when he’s not in a relationship.

He will literally go for anyone he finds appealing, which is almost everyone. Thus, it’s no surprise when he is constantly faced with rejection. Despite this, Addison is still quite prideful. He likes to do everything with his head held high and will often feign confidence lest he appear weak and incompetent-- things he finds unattractive. This causes him to subconsciously bluff about abilities he lacks, often making him seem like a compulsive liar to others. Another negative trait is that he is unfocused when it comes to things that disinterest him, such as subjects pertaining to any sciences or math. Unfortunately, a distracted Orion can become a distraction to everybody else. But thankfully, Lyra is able to help him focus so he can pass his grades.
