Current Seems as though I've already stumbled upon some fun, like-minded partners for my first RP in... well, a very long time.

I hope it's alright if my CS is a little short (when I make it). I despise anything and everything about character sheets :P Imo it's more fun to learn a character's history IC.

I am the same way, but I'm going to try to make some effort.

As you know, Baby Kaylee had open-heart surgery yesterday. She is doing great! They had originally scheduled her surgery for 7AM, but after another emergency last night, the doctor postponed it until noon so he could rest. This means Kaylee went a while without food and boy, was she cranky. Luckily, Brittany and Nick learned that she really enjoyed watching Food Network, so they kept her distracted with TV and sleep until the hour arrived.

Jero, Greg, Ethan, and I all rode up together in Jero's little Tercel. My parents didn't want me to drive my car, so we used the 2hr drive to the hospital as a test to see how it would make it on Monday (a 4hr drive). Immediately after we start to take the exit, there is an extremely loud bang and the entire car jumps, knocking us all forward. The car just started to roll and then after another loud bang and some more jumps, it finally started to go again and we pulled into the first place we could. The transmission was the first thing we thought it was, with how it was kicking. If it was the transmission, the car would be done for. There wouldn't even be a point to bring it home. We manage to trust it enough to make it to the hospital five minutes before they take Baby Kaylee back. So Uncle Jero and Auntie Cait were able to say their goodbyes before she was whisked away into the unknown.

We waited in the hospital until 6PM. Baby Kaylee made it out of surgery without a hitch. They found out that her arteries were extremely small, barely able to see them with an ultrasound. They put her on bypass and got to work. The Surgeon said there was a lot of blockage and the artery/valve was smaller than expected. Once that was cleared, the holes in her heart were sealed. She will probably have to have another surgery later on, but that's in about 15-20 years. They also found that her left lung is much smaller than her right, but nothing threatening.

It was almost time for us to be able to go in and see her, but we needed to head out and attempt to make it home in Jero's car. Papa Gary followed us and after loud noises and 20 miles, we had to stop. There was no way we were going to make it the 2+hrs home in that car. So, everyone loaded into Papa Gary's truck except for Jero and I and we waited in the parking lot of a broken down store until 10PM when my parents finally got to us. Made it home around midnight, got to sleep, and woke up this morning to go back to FIX the abandoned car and pray it makes it back home.

But, our major worry is gone. Baby Kaylee is in great shape. She's happy. She finally got a bottle and she will have a much better childhood thanks to the surgery. She may not be a runner, but I think she may have her eye on cooking, ahaha. Here is a picture of my girl. Thank you for the thoughts and prayers. I could tell they were with us yesterday and I am glad they were. Nick and Brittany also give their thanks.

^Really great, supportive community for this kind of thing.

Thanks, but I don't know how reddit works

And thanks, Nex.
I don't even know what to do right now.

I really need to get some things off of my chest. If you want to be my shoulder, please PM me.
She's scheduled for Wednesday, three days before she turns 3-months old.

She's already been at the hospital for a week. TET spells have been running rampant, but she's finally calmed down and it's been an easier past few days.

The outlook of the surgery is good, but it is still a stressful and overwhelming situation.

So, if you are religious or not, please say a prayer or send a good thought for Baby Kaylee and the family. Thanks.

To be fair, the book has been out since 1996, and the first season of the TV adaptation is 4 years old now.

That excuse for spoiling things is a sucky one.
Granted, nothing was really spoiled except Ep 2 in this thread, but for Pete's Sake.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone came out in 1997. You don't see me spoiling the fact that Harry's parents are dead. Oops.
Ohhh
What episode are you on now?
