The young woman sat up with a start. Her face paled slightly but she recovered when she realized the voice that startled her was kindly. An orc, she figured. Her interactions with orcs were extremely limited. She lived on the Ballion border and not many non-humans would risk an encounter with the Ballion Military. She had nothing against them, just no idea how she should address th orc other than as her elder.

Her voice picked up with a slight soprano, but had a firm edge to it. "My name is Sarah, the Smith's Daughter of Levital," she said, gently bowing her head. She the n addressed his question. "Indeed, I seek to travel back home to the east," she gave a sheepish smile to the orc and was about to ask about his travel situation when another stranger approached.

This new stranger appeared as if a noble, catching the village girl off guard. She sat up straighter and her eyes widened. "Indeed madame, I do wish to travel east, however I am not sure for my travel plans as I was hoping to find a company or caravan traveling my direction..." she hesitated to glance at the orc. Who were these people? And just as she was about to politely turn them down when a third soul arrived.

Well if they were all interested... She took a deep breath and started speaking.

"I plan on leaving on the first of Winter. The night of the festival. I chose to travel during the winter to help reduce running into looters and bandits and hopefully avoid troubled roads," she sighed, it wasn't the real reason for her to travel at such a hard time. "I was looking for a group to travel with but haven't had any luck so far," she paused and looked around the small gathering she had. She felt very uneasy, as if something special was expected of her.

Uses a black bandana to cover his face up to under his nose. He needs something he can tear away easily if he ever needs to smell or taste.

Powers/Abilities
Has super senses, can enhance his focus, and has super-human reflexes. His enhanced senses allows him guide anything he decides to throw or launch to it's target with 99% accuracy. Years of using these skills for illicit gambling and street fights have helped develop his fighting style.

Hides his heat signature. This is the most important feature. It also regulates his temperature making survival in harsh environments a little more possible.

Personality
He comes off as reckless but is actually very cautious. He always has an escape, even if it means brawling his way out of a tight situation. He isn't very trusting and always thinks people want something he's got.
He is scared of becoming like his dad. Abusive, drunk, and hating the world. Johnny tries hard to keep a positive outlook, often giving him a laid back air. Being cornered terrifies him as well.
He is most comfortable while cooking. If he is cooking, it means he has food and spare time, things he often went without while growing up.
His goal is to do some good for the world. To prove to himself that he isn't a good for nothing nobody.

History
Jonathan was born to a dying mother and an abusive drunk of a father. He lived in the slums of San Fransisco, always edging the line of lawlessness and homelessness. He still attended school up through high school as it provided an escape from his dad. When he turned 18, he left home and started trying to make money using the powers he was developing. At first it was just hearing things from a distance, or seeing little details that made the difference between simple choices. Soon he was feeling tremors and vibrations way before anyone else. He started to recognize patterns a lot faster and before he knew it he was winning money at casinos and tracks. He got into the underground scene occasionally, but never got involved in major crime. He would often clear out betting houses and casinos. He got beat up a lot for it too. Most of his money went to his dad, who was still an asshole but also dying. He hoped to keep his dad satisfied and out of his life by sending him money anonymously.

Jonathan was disillusioned with his lifestyle. He was getting older and his sense of 'freedom' was becoming restrictive. He decided to look into the college he had been approached about after his first arrest. The man was scared of what the college would do to him. But he was more scared of what would become of him without the college. He decided his time flying below the radar is up and felt it was now or never.

Well with your character might not make the best of friends in town, however with all the refugees blending would be easier..... blaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh

Given the temperament of 'Archy' you might be able to have him on stand by until the group makes its way toward the edge of the low town around the city. Maybe overhear what they are up to and come along. Something like that. I dunno man, it's your character. I don't feel right saying 'Do this' or 'Do that' so directly.
