Hi!

Hey! My name is Maggie, and I'm new here (obviously). I've done rp's with friends before, but never in an open forum like this, so I'm a little out of my element. I pride myself on being a fairly talented writer and character development is one of my favorite things to play with. I'm hoping to get into a few different rps here, so if you have any tips or suggestions, please let me know! Constructive criticism is always welcomed as well. Nice to meet you all! :)

I have a quick question. When the description was updated, you changed it so he's looking for the "most talented individuals throughout the galaxy." Does that mean my character has to be the best of the best in their field? Or just really good with a grudge against Gortex?

Character Sheet

Name: Amynta (Nickname: Mint) Lianez
Personal: 25 year old woman half human and half Lucern

Species:Lucern
General Appearance: Their normal appearance is fairly close to human, although their natural hair and eye colors differ widely.
Homeworld: Lychnus
Culture: The Lucern are a peaceful people who were incorporated by the Republic without a fight. Their culture has fairly modern technology, yet lives more quietly in a rural setting.
Religious Views: They believe that their dead continue on as energy beings, who assist in the healing the sick and granting wisdom to their descendants.
History: Not much is known about the history of the Lucern, as they don't enjoy sharing this information with non-believers in their way of life, although they are friendly about everything else. The general consensus is that they've lived on their home planet for thousands of years in a fairly peaceful manner, perhaps because their towns are so completely independent of each other.

Appearance: But her eyes are a vibrant green that is somewhat bioluminescent in the darkness.
Height: 5'6"
Weight: 126 lbs
Birthmark: she has a small birthmark behind her left ear
Apparel: Amynta usually dresses in a pretty average maner, tank tops or short sleeve shirts paired with cargo pants (plenty of pockets to keep all the strange things she picks up all the time). She also carries a messenger bag that serves as her "black bag" of medical supplies.
Weaponry: She carries a small pistol (like a BU9 Nano) and a hunting knife for self defense, but would prefer to avoid violence if she can manage it.
Other: She's used to being pretty well off, so she's a little bit spoiled.
Starfighter: Her ship, the Febris, is a basic model used by medical students, essentially an ambulance. However, after her parents' deaths she outfitted it with basic weapons and a hidden compartment in case of real emergencies. It has room for a pilot and approximately 3 passengers.
Skills: She recently graduated from the top medical academy in the galaxy, but due to certain circumstances she hasn't started working as a doctor. She's a skilled practitioner however, and given the proper supplies--or what's in the room around her, she can care for nearly any injury. She has taken several self defense classes since the death of her parents, and can protect herself if need be either in physical combat or with a variety of guns, although she'd rather not resort to violence.
Abilities: TBA because of her Lucern heritage (sorry, I wouldn't want to give away too much!)
Word-of-Mouth: "Amynta? She's a good student, and a good person. A little naive perhaps, but she'll be a fantastic doctor. Such a shame what happened to her father... I hope she can work through that to become a stronger person." Amynta seems fairly average other than her intelligence level. Something terrible happened to her parents... but the rumors never agree on what. She lives in a small apartment in the capital city of Corvais after being forced out of her parents' home.
