Bio

Hello~ My screen name is LadyTale, but you can call me Tale. You can also call me Chaos, if you wish. There's a bit of a story behind that nickname, but it's not one I'm likely to share. It would take too long, anyway.

I'll participate in many genres of RPs, but there are a few I avoid. Some of my favorite genres are fantasy and action/adventure, although I also like sci-fi and romance, up to a point.

I read a lot of fanfiction. An almost ridiculous amount of fanfiction, actually. If there are any fandom RPs out there for the fandoms I'm interested in, I'll most likely join.

In conclusion, I am Sherlocked, a member of Loki's Army, a Whovian, and an anime lover.

There is a mutation, passed down among women. For the most part, this mutation lies dormant. Waiting. But at one crucial moment, during pregnancy, the mutation becomes active. It will stay active for 24 hours. If, during those 24 hours, the pregnant woman comes into contact with an animal, the mutation will latch onto that animal's DNA and the child will be born a demi.

Those carrying the mutation are rare. Demis are even more rare. However, rare though they be, the demis are dangerous. If they choose the wrong path, they could wreak untold destruction. And so they are rounded up before their third year, taken from their parents and raised in a government facility. They are disciplined harshly whenever they break the rules, and otherwise left alone.

Until they turn 15, the only companion they have is an animal of the kind that donated DNA to the demis. Then, the day after their birthday, they are taken away, to a training facility. There, the demis are turned into soldiers for the government. Whether they do so willingly matters not; one way or another, these teenagers are turned into weapons.

However, the existence of demis is not as secret as the government assumes. The mothers know. They spread the word. Many believed that what the government did was right, but one woman started a movement. She is gathering men and women to her banner, swearing them to secrecy, and planning an uprising. A coup. These revolutionaries will rise against the government, tear them down, and free the demis.

This woman is a mother of demis, and she wants her children back. She will free them and all like them, come hell or high water. She is known only by the name Elpis. Hope. For it is her goal to be Hope for the demis.

That is not all. The demis themselves have grown tired of isolation followed by near slavery. They are planning their own revolution, to overthrow the human government and replace it with a demi council. They are armed, trained, dangerous... and they will not fail.

So, what do you think?
@Zelosse It's not terrible! It shows us what we need to know, so it works.
Niamh looked over her shoulder at the tactician. "That's reasonable." She agreed. "I won't stop dueling, though. I have to keep my skills up."
"Surely there are ways that cause less commotion?" Lonan brought himself into the conversation calmly. "I was trying to study. It is hard to concentrate when all I can hear is the clash of blades." His Flux tome was in a pouch that hung from his waist, and his history book was in his hand, as neither were books that should be left laying around.
"Kip Omega." Finishing her second tankard of cider, she offered her hand to the newcomer. "Nice to meet you, and yeah, we're new." She really would rather be left alone right now, but that likely wouldn't be healthy. Don't spend your days mourning the dead until you join them; live for them until your time comes. That was a saying Kip had heard somewhere. For some reason, it had stuck in her head. With that in mind, she accepted the mug from Bulwar and took a cautious sip. To hell with age restrictions. For the first time, someone she knew had died. The law could go hang for all she cared.
"I would if I could, but I can't, so I shan't." Kip answered, shrugging. "It's good cider, though." She took another gulp. "All the same, curse whoever thought it was a good idea to make the NPCs incapable of selling alcohol to minors. I think I could really use a drink." Frowning, she rested one elbow on the table and placed her chin in her hand. "Not that I would know, really." She muttered.
@KabenSaal Accepted~ Welcome to SAO!
@KabenSaal Thank you for your interest, and I hope you join our party!~
Kip was one of the first into the tavern, cupping a tankard of apple cider morosely and wishing she was old enough to get well and truly drunk. Sighing, she took a sip of her cider and looked down at her latest purchase; a journal, aged pages bound in what looked like leather. Flipping it open, she equipped a pen and started to write.

Matsuta - a party member, for less then a day. He was killed when a monster lured him away from the group. May he rest in peace.

Closing the journal and returning it and her pen to her inventory, Kip gulped down the rest of her cider and thumped the tankard onto the table. "Another!" She called, her voice strong despite her despondent attitude.

TsuMeTai, on the other hand, was going through the market, looking for a place where he could get a scythe. It took a while, but eventually he found one, plain and serviceable and completely black. It wiped out a good portion of his funds, but it was worth it. Unequipping his sword and shield, he equipped the scythe and weighed it thoughtfully. A grim smile crossed his face and he nodded once. It would be a good weapon. Now he needed to try it out.

A glance toward the sky changed his mind. With his sword, TsuMeTai knew he could defend himself well enough to stay alive. With an entirely new weapon? He would need some practice before he went out in the dark, alone. No one said he couldn't accustom himself to the weapon, though. Finding an empty alley, he gave the scythe a few practice swings. The style was completely different from a sword, but he thought he could get used to it fairly quickly.
Princess Selene Collins

Due to her condition, Selene had often been able to escape the more constricting garments of court, as long as her clothing still showed the wealth of the royal family. Today was no different; Indra and her rulers cared more for their daughter's health than her finery. Therefore, her maid, Tallulah, helped her into an opulent creation of silk and lace that was both beautiful and light.

"Purple again?" Selene gave a slight, amused smile. The court dressmakers did seem to like to make her dresses in various shades of purple. This time, the dress started out as a light, silvery lilac on top and gradually changed to royal purple. Delicate white lace accented the neckline and the sleeves. "Well, it does suit you, and your status, milady." Tallulah replied, fastening the gown up the back. "Now, milady, if you'll let me do your hair next?"

"Of course." Seating herself at her vanity, Selene looked through her makeup to decide what she would apply that day. Tallulah hummed gently under her breath, a lullaby from her native Escova that she had often sung to her lady. As she did so, she carefully brushed and styled Selene's hair in the fashion of the times.

It took a while, but Tallulah finally set down the hairbrush, satisfied. "Now, isn't that lovely." She moved to kneel in front of Selene. "Have you decided on your makeup today, milady?" Selene nodded carefully, indicating several makeup containers gathered away from the rest. "I'll just get started, then." Applying the makeup took quite a bit more time, but eventually it was done. Her makeup was quite a bit lighter then was fashionable, but the court physician had warned her away from caking her face with cosmetics. Standing, Tallulah backed away a few steps. "Beautiful, milady."

"Thank you, Tallulah." Selene rose gracefully and, with her maid following, made her way down to the ballroom to possibly assist her mother. She could certainly help with the placement of the decorations, if not with actually placing them.
