Bio

Hello~ My screen name is LadyTale, but you can call me Tale. You can also call me Chaos, if you wish. There's a bit of a story behind that nickname, but it's not one I'm likely to share. It would take too long, anyway.

I'll participate in many genres of RPs, but there are a few I avoid. Some of my favorite genres are fantasy and action/adventure, although I also like sci-fi and romance, up to a point.

I read a lot of fanfiction. An almost ridiculous amount of fanfiction, actually. If there are any fandom RPs out there for the fandoms I'm interested in, I'll most likely join.

In conclusion, I am Sherlocked, a member of Loki's Army, a Whovian, and an anime lover.

@Tracyarmav Not exactly finals; I'm in an online high school and I fell behind in chemistry. Posts from me will most likely be sporadic until school's finished.
I have added skills to the character sheet. Everyone, please edit your character sheets accordingly. Zelosse and I agreed that each character can have two passive skills and two craft skills.

Zelosse, if you wouldn't mind, could you check my character sheets and tell me if I've interpreted "craft skills" correctly?
@KabenSaal

Another author here, who will go unnamed unless they wish to reveal themselves, has brought a few things to my attention that I'd like to speak with you about.

For one: at the point in the RP that your character is currently, it has been one full day. That's not enough time to get enough money for full-time bodyguards, or for information brokers to get much of anything worth value. Even the beta testers don't know much, because things have changed since the beta test. Everyone remember the first floor boss?

Two: about the mini-boss? My sources inform me that the lair of such a creature would be in the middle of the Garumns Gorge, the great sundered cliffs in the center of the map. Navigating down there would take at least a week on foot with a small party, as it is not a solid path.

A reminder for everyone: at this point, we've been playing for less than two days. Please keep in mind that we don't have things like cars or bicycles, or even horses. We get around on our own feet. It's going to take a good bit of time to get anywhere, at least until our characters have significantly improved their SPD stats.

I know that this is a Virtual Reality. However, one part of that is that it is realistic. Just like real life, we eat, sleep, and die; also like real life, we can't fly or teleport wherever we want. Remember, in the anime, there were crystals to teleport to the entrance of a dungeon, and you could teleport between cleared floors. That was it. You can't teleport from a city to the entrance of the mini-boss's lair. That would defeat the purpose of a game that focused on fighting and adventure.

I don't want to seem rude or cruel. However, I am the Game Master of this Role Playing Game, and I want it to be at least semi-realistic. It's no fun if someone just writes in that they discovered something everyone else missed without actually, realistically writing how they did it, in the actual role play.

One more note: I never defined exactly how much authority @Zelosse has, so I will address that. Their authority is equal to my own. If I can do it, so can Zelosse.

Day 2, noon

True to her word, Kip had been darting around, killing whatever the two heavy hitters were kind enough to injure for her. After Cin decided to live dangerously, however, she found herself fighting more sustained battles. Not that she minded, really; she had enough potions, and there was no such thing as too much stamina. Better she start training it now, and up her SPD and AGL stats along the way.

Tsu kept pace with Cin, playing a little bit more defensively; he still had to master the use of the scythe, after all, and he didn't want to get killed because he made a mistake. "There's an old video game called Final Fantasy IV, and a webcomic inspired by that game. Two characters in that comic are KiNaTu aka Kip aka Project OMEGA, and TsuYa aka TsuMeTai. They're best friends." He informed Cin between battles, giving him the simplest explanation. If he wanted more info, than Tsu would be glad to tell him when they were back in town.

Fearmonger

Full name
Farran Drake

Age.
21

Gender
Male

Physical appearance
Farran has thick black hair, yellow eyes, and pale skin; he stands at 5'7". He usually wears all black, with the occasional hint of red or gold; a short-sleeved shirt, a hoodie, pants, and Converse. A gold chain with a pendant shaped like a horse's head is always on him, hidden under his shirt. He's thin and not too strong, built more for running than fighting.

Personality
Farran is a quiet young man, utterly convinced that he is a monster. He's a loner, more by choice than nature; when no one is near him, there's no one he can scare. It takes time and determination to truly befriend him. For the most part, he'll either stay away to protect them, or assume they're talking to him out of greed. One wouldn't think it to look at him, but he's capable of getting into a towering rage.

Biography/Background history
Farran is an orphan. Until he was ten, he had his older brother to take care of him; then they came for him. The government had no interest in Farran. They wanted his brother, who was both a powerful mutant and wanted for various charges of theft and physical assault. They took him away, not finding Farran, who had been securely hidden. So it was that the young boy came to be on his own.

His powers came to him during puberty. As he grew taller and his voice changed, his power grew. It started out small, just isolated incidents at first. Then it grew powerful. Everywhere he went, people got uneasy; if he was upset, his power grew stronger. Some people were terrified; some got angry. It grew so that Farran left destruction and chaos wherever he went.

It was shortly after his 21st birthday that the government caught up to him. They had tracked him by the miasma of fear he left in his wake, and arrested him for being a public menace. At least, they tried to. For the first time, Farran weaponized his power, incapacitating the officers sent to take him in. He escaped then, but they came after him again only weeks later. This time they were smart. They shot him with a tranquilizer before he even knew they were there, and he woke up in a cell. Shortly afterwards, he was moved to ORB.

Powers
Farran's power is fear, plain and simple. Just by being around him, a person starts to get uneasy and faintly paranoid. If he focuses his power on someone, he can bring their greatest fears to light, trapping them in a hallucination of their worst nightmare. He can trap up to three people at a time in these hallucinations. Another power of his is a kind of miasma; it's not as potent as the hallucinations, but it's still scary. The miasma appears as a purple fog, out of which specters of monsters and demons appear. The miasma is more widespread, but not as powerful as the hallucinations; therefore, it takes just as much out of him.

Weaknesses
Farran has trust issues, insomnia, and suicidal tendencies, which crop up every now and then. He's not too strong, and knows very little about fighting.

@Zelosse Well, it's not like they gain an immunity... if they break free on their own, without Farran withdrawing his power, they would be less susceptible next time.
And there's Farran! The fight or flight response will be a great hindrance to him, methinks.

We have so many tough people. I'm considering making a guy on the other end of the spectrum; quiet and terrified of his power. What would be the best kind of superpower to inspire that much fear? I'm thinking something uncontrollable and destructive, but I haven't got any specifics yet.
