I'm not getting notified when someone mentions me. I probably have it turned off in some setting somewhere. I'll try to find it when it's not 4am. Until then, sorry for any slow responses.

@LugiaMan, I havn't played VI in years. To answer your questions though, probably. Unless some maniac poisons the water supply of my city, then all bets are off.
Alright, finished. Hopefully I didn't miss anything.

I am super interested in this. I'll probably go for a Samurai Class, if no one has any objections. Throwing everyone's hard earned Gil at enemies for extra damage and making vain attempts to 'Zantetsuken' a group of baddies sounds like a good time to me.
@Denny The more I look at it, the more I like the format you are using, with the colored dialog and title card. I might go through and edit my posts to match. Once we start adding more side characters, it will get to be super helpful.
Vanadise Lynn

Startled by Pietro's sudden outburst, Vanadise snapped her attention back to her immediate surroundings. She tensed up for a brief moment, but quickly relaxed when she realized who was speaking to her. It was not the first time his gruff voice had caught the female knight by surprise during her otherwise quiet patrols, and it was surely not going to be the last, much to her dismay. Turning her head to eye him from her peripheral, the chain mail mantle the woman wore over her shoulders jingled slightly. Vanadise sighed as the man commented on the temperature. While the truth was not lost on her, she handled the warmer weathers a bit better than most of the other knights, as she opted to wear less armor in favor of agility. Still, she had some chain mail restricted to her mantle, bracers, and boots, and the heat was quite uncomfortable in her padded garb.

Vanadise smirked lightly before speaking. "You know, if you spent as much time patrolling as you do complaining, this City would be the safest in all the kingdom." She gave a slight laugh as she returned her cerulean gaze towards Ursa, lifting a hand up to brush back a few loose strands of her dirty blonde hair away from her face.

She teased Pietro often, though always in jest. It was a side effect of her upbringing, and a hard habit to break. Despite her faux tone, she enjoyed the man's company and humor. The other knights frequently looked down on the girl, not just due to her physical height, but for her common blood and fragile physique. Most would swear it was just her imagination, but it was painfully obvious to a trained eye. Pietro was different, though, and seemed to see her in a light of respect. Paired with his large stature and friendly demeanor, in addition to the tactical advantage of his combat style, Vanadise would always request to share the same patrol path, rumors be damned. Pietro was her friend, and that meant more to her than what others would say behind their backs.

"If we are being honest," She responded to his final question, "The Captain will probably nominate Stein or Gestar, if not one of the other Knights on the Southern Patrol. Still, I can only hope. After all, someone needs to watch your back during the Trials."
Awesome! I'll give some thought to the title and see if I can come up with any ideas. Posted a bit on the character page, so I hope it is enough info to fill in some blanks. I'll start working on my next post. It should be done fairly soon.
Name: Vanadise Lynn
Age: 25
Gender: Female

Born to a common family, Vanadise was the youngest of three children; the only girl on top of that. Growing up with two older brothers had the the effect that one would expect, being a bit tomboy-ish compared to the other girls in the village. However, this did not stop get from learning to cook and sew from her mother. As she got older, she learned to fight from watching her brothers scuffle from time to time, and it came in handy when other boys would pick on her. She learned how most boys would throw their weight into their punches, and while she was not always fast enough, she could dodge and counter most of the time.

These lessons served Vanadise well, until she met her teacher. Ragnall Glas was one of the esteemed Rose Vanguard long before Lord Conrad Ellewyn was born. Though retired from service, the man was still well regarded as a skilled swordsman. Ragnall saw potential in Vanadise, and offered to train her. She learned everything from the basic footwork, to advanced stratagem over the course of two years. By the time she reached her 18th birthday, she was ready to join the Town Guard. From there, she moved up in the ranks to reach the last steps before joining the Rose Vanguard.
Vanadise Lynn

Atop the stone ramparts of the city walls, a young woman by the name of Vanadise stood at the ready, gazing out across the sea that surrounded the western peninsula. She was a bit small for her age, nearly a few months past her twenty fifth birthday, but she made up for it with athletic skill. She was training to become the first in the Lynn family line to become one of the Rose Vanguard. Already, she had shown exceptional prowess with a halberd and sword, as well as unwavering loyalty to the Lordship of Ursa. This land was her home, after all. She was raised in a village not far from the castle, and longed to visit the royal courts and parties when she was a little girl. These aspirations changed, as most do, as she grew older. After one too many scuffles with some of the more uncouth boys of her village, she began to teach herself how to fight. Secretly, at first, but it was not long before people found out why those same boys were starting to return home with bloody lips and bruises. As one would expect, she was scolded for her behavior, but even the boys she fought would not deny she was a skilled brawler. By the time she passed into her teenage years, she was offered a chance to learn swordplay from a retired member of the Rose Vanguard. That was when she decided to strive towards achieving that rank herself.

As her skills increased, she became part of the Town Guard, then moved to the city and became an officer of the City Guard. It was only a few years until she joined the Royal Guard, and soon after became a Knight. Trained to fight in chain mail, Vanadise preferred the use of her Halberd, but kept a broadsword and round shield as a backup for engagements in close quarters. Now, she waited for the day when she could face the trials to become part of the Rose Vanguard.

The woman talked to herself, as she often did while alone on patrol, "I shouldn't be too long. The Captain will surely give me my trial, I just need to be ready." Vanadise tightened her grip on the halberd that rarely left her side, "If the rumors are true, if War is coming-" Her thoughts trailed off for a moment as she looked away from the sea and faced the city.
"I need to be ready."
With a shrug, Roas frowned slightly. "Not really, I'm a Mercenary, not a knight. I've spit on my fair share of weeds too. Honestly, I don't know what the Hell is going on. Didn't stay for the speech, don't know what a Tarvin is, and as far as I can tell, you can't really die out here, so I guess I can't fault you on your behavior." He stretched the muscles in his neck by tilting his head to each side. "So it seems I might as well make the most of it. Do me a favor and don't hold back, I don't want to kill you too quickly by accident."

With that, the Warrior kicked off the ground and charged forward, swinging the sword down to his left side as he ran. When he would reach his target, Roas would plant his feet firmly against the ground and attack with a wide, horizontal strike at waist level, aiming the tip of his blade only inches past the fire spirit's body. If the attack connected, it could very well separate the chest from the abdomen completely.
I've been trying to get posts out on schedule, but with the Holidays and end of year coming, my days have been filled with audits and paperwork. I'm terribly sorry for the delays, but I will continue to post as often as possible.
