Personality:
Cool and level-headed. Matthew likes to do things slowly and methodically and doesn't want his emotions to get the better of him. He is a team player and doesn't like carrying assignments alone. While he respects and follows hierarchy (as all Spartans must do), he can be stubborn at times. He is very good at short-term planning and executing a plan but not very good at improvising and thinking out of the box.
Weapon of choice:
Grenade launcher as primary weapon, pistol as secondary weapon.
While the grenade launcher may not hit as hard as as other anti-heavy armor weapons, it offers more versatility and space for more equipment. It's smaller, lighter and it's user can carry more ammunition, making it suitable for more situations. Matthew is also trained to use pistols, mines, frag grenades, rocket launchers and other types of explosives.
