Mr. Squall looked at the child who was sleeping and made a mental note of him, another child not worth his time to teach, at least he wasn't disturbing the class.
Squall than moved his hand across the board, and five symbols appeared. Two where side by-side near the top of the board, the one to the left looked like two interloping circles with a line through them, the other was three connected "X" shapes with a line through them. Below those two symbols where two others, the left being an arrow pointed to a small line, and the right was upward pointing arrow with two lines drawn on both sides of the arrow and connecting to it. The final one was below the other four, and appeared to be a very complex scribble and it was hard to figure out quite what it was.
He then addressed the class, "Does anyone recognize these symbols?" he said, knowing most would not have a clue about them since it was a rather rare type of magic that not many people used. However, he liked to start with this type of magic to scale up his students.

Mr. Squall looked at Meira dumbfounded, and for a few moments he was speechless. "In all my days teaching, many students have tried to bribe me, however I have never seen a student be so blunt about it. It appears you haven't been taught any Discipline, which is exactly what dentition is there to instill." he then glared at her and smirked, "Perhaps, I could do you a favor and extend your time in detention if you insist."
He then paused, and turn to the class, "Now if ever has got all their smartass comments out of their system, it is about time we stopped wasting time and proceeded to today's lecture."

A pair of guards led Andrew into a large room. Andrew glancing back and forth, never enough to take in any real detail or even be practical, he was simply being paranoid. As he walked into the room with no resistance, he seen the others who were obviously in the same boat as he was, either they already had weapons or where looking over them. He paused for a moment, as if it took him a few seconds just to register what was happened, and then just spoke out, but in a modest tone and volume, "Wait. Wait. I signed up to be your guinea pig, not some time of soldier."
In theory, I should be free for the rest of the night.

@KatherinWinter "Mostly mentally stable" is a pretty good description of his state of mind.
@KatherinWinter Yeah, the idea is that his physical scars are already starting to disappear but his mental ones aren't.
@KatherinWinter I would like to think he was in what ever place the law would seen him for some time before he joined the experiments so his body had some time to recover from all that.
@KatherinWinter From things in I guess his previous life like lack of necessities and smoking.
@KatherinWinter Since I am going to be gone for most of today, I am going to wait till I get back to avoid a time where my character is just frozen if you don't mind. Also, the in lore reason could be complication in the process caused by his body being in a bad-shape.
