It is a quiet night in a small suburban town, with bright stars overhead and a deep, calming silence punctuated only by the sound of chirping crickets and frogs. If you're a human, special or not, you're probably comfortably resting in your own home after a long but decidedly average day of doing whatever it is that you normally do with your life. You might have just finished watching the newscast on TV reporting on the rash of strange eclectic incidents and sightings recently reported in the area. Depending on what kind of person you are you may be genuinely concerned, or maybe you just thought it was silly, but it's getting farther from your mind as you settle down and prepare for bed. No one really believes those types of things anyways, and if you told someone you actually thought it might be true they'd probably laugh at you, so you just decided to let it go.
If you're not quite human however, the story is very different. The quiet of the night is the safest time for many legendary creatures to emerge from the shadows. Thanks to Disbelief, something as innocuous as walking the street at night raises no alarms, and for once you're free to be yourself without worrying about someone seeing you do something they CAN'T just shrug off. Of course some of you who wish to interact with humans for one reason or another take this as bitter medicine; as much as you'd like to climb into someone's window and scare the beejezus out of them just to be noticed for once, you also wouldn't want to gain the ire of other individuals who think you'd only put them all in danger by doing so. Still, perhaps this will be the night when you finally get your chance...
Roger is by the fountain in the center of town, pacing back and force and looking somewhat agitated. He's waiting for the rest of the clan (well, Ireane anyways) to show up, and he knows there are only so many hours in the night. He needs that time to burn off the overwhelming energy inside of him, or he just might do something drastic during the day. If no one shows up soon he thinks he just might take off into the woods and kill something on his own.

Sheridan noticed that Nceku had been standing outside when he came back from receiving his package and was slightly alarmed, but shrugged it off and headed for the meeting room with his things still tucked under his arms.
Ireane is accepted. We are ready to go! I will be working on the first IC post when I get back later, I have to go somewhere.
I would like to thank everyone who's helped me out with this, I have a lot of ideas but I'm terrible at executing them and sometimes having a little back up for the technical things goes a long way! Hopefully this RP will be lots of fun and we'll be able to keep it going for a long while.

If you don't mind, I'm going to use this opportunity to field test a Fullmetal Alchemist OC. Boy I haven't done this in a long time...
Name: Jacques Elric
Age: 21
Gender: Male
Abilities/skills: Welp, he's not supposed to be able to use alchemy, but for the purpose of the roleplay I'll let him because having a single character from a series in a crossover RP who can't do the thing that's the series main point is silly. For people who don't aren't familiar with the show, by drawing a geometric circle like this an alchemist can bend the chemical elements to their will, as long as it falls within the laws of physics, and- generally speaking- the limitation to this power is Conservation of Matter (or 'Equivalent Exchange' in the show). They can't poof things out of thin air but have to recombine the materials already around them. What goes in is pound for pound what comes out. There are...ehem...ways...to get around this, of course, BUT...
Weapons(if any): Generally fashions them when necessary on the fly, but nothing permanent
Species: Human (with some odd...stuff in his family history on both sides that looks funny on paper but doesn't pertain to him)
Personality: A shameless nonaction guy who spent the first part of his life trying to be something he wasn't, and eventually gave up on that when he realized he couldn't live up to the expectations set before him. He's a white sheep in a family of black sheep, and although not without his own talents or personal accomplishments the things he's done in his life tend to pale in comparison to his relatives. He's studious at heart, and generally pretty quiet and contemplative; although he can suddenly launch into long conversations and debates if given the right trigger topics, and has a passionate streak to a fault when it comes to his personal values. He's easily riled up about these things but yet not easily provoked to violence, mostly resorting to verbal abuse instead.
Appearance: A thick, stocky guy with a height advantage, but yet physical strength definitely isn't his strong suit and he comes off more awkward and clumsy then anything. He's an in-universe equivalent of mixed-race Caucasian and Asian, with coppery grey eyes and extremely short, straight brown hair.

Other: He's the son of the characters Alphonse and Mei Chang (unoriginal, I know, but give me a break I'm rusty at the OC game), the series itself is set in a 1910-ish parallel and the world he was born into is more like the 1940/50s with all of the accompanying technology

A badly disheveled humanoid creature, decaying wounds covering most of his body. His appearance is frightening, with jagged nails and long, severely matted light brown hair. His left eye is slashed by festering claw marks and totally blind, while the right eye is his natural brown. Although he is fairly tall, his back has grown crooked from the weight of the deer antlers on his head which become larger and more elaborate with each passing year. As a result he always walks slightly hunched over, menacingly dragging his hands close to the ground.
Animal (RL pictures are nice here): Red-Tailed Hawk
Powers from animal: Tree climbing, excellent long-distance vision and acute hearing.
Personality: Skinwalker alphas and skinwalkers in general are not known for being genial, but Roger in particular is an angry being, tormented by a savage temper which has been present since his youth. Even when not angry, he has difficulty interacting appropriately with others, leading to a complete inability to connect with humans and social awkwardness even among his own kind. Every action he takes can easily be interpreted as a threat. He can come off as cruel when trying to be playful, and aggressive when trying to pursue information. However, although he leads the clan with an iron fist, he is not a needlessly cruel or vindictive leader, and instead instills his own powerful sense of loyalty and fear in his subjects. He will die to protect those under his protection, and gladly make sacrifices to keep the clan united.
Do they want to reveal themselves: No, and thanks to some in his family who oppose him he'll do whatever he can to preserve Disbelief.
