Enya, The Furie
Name: Her founder family gave her the name Enya. Enya Andrews.
Age: Eight in human years though she is much older & appears in her early twenties
Species: A type of infernal goddess
Description: Much like that of the Erinyes or Furies of Greek Mythology, Enya is a manifestation of rage and violence made flesh. Instead of receiving a loving greeting by a mother’s touch her creation was far from elation instead excruciating pain spawned the deity. It was later discovered in a poorly deciphered museum text that the majority of her kind do not survive the process as the savagery literally rips them to pieces. Either the anguish leading to insanity takes them or they devour themselves from anger they know not what to do with.
Enya’s race is also cursed only allowing them to follow a specific set of rules. Those rules dictate who they can and cannot harm no matter the reason. She has learned the hard way during this small yet traumatic period of time to control her rage lest she erupt into a berserker like state, and destroy her target in a hellish form. This is not acceptable in the human world she has been reprimanded time and time again. Not entirely without flaws, Enya strives to live a peaceful existence among humankind. Fighting her nature and the reason of being to extract revenge proves difficult at times.
Bio/Personality: Like a child, Enya is still only recently manifested so her social skills or mannerisms are peculiar at best. Relying on impulse the majority of the time and not filtering sentences or thoughts she can be innocently, hilariously, or morbidly blunt. A lack of acknowledging personal space has gotten her into a curious situation more than once too. Her temper is still unsurpassed along with the energy of frenzy within her, and this simply fuels her destructive will. However, displaying this anger is seldom--she just seethes internally. Every so often those angelic features of hers hide emotions well; one never knows just how furious she is except when violet hues begin to eerily gleam.
...
Founded by a well to do family of one of the best Greek historians in this era, Enya was notably lucky. Not every day a family on a stroll would come across an unconscious nude female and take it upon themselves to eventually “adopt” her. Rushed to Staint Augustine's hospital under the surname Jane Doe, the Supernatural was kept for observation. Unfortunately a Furie in a strange land does not wish to be kept in seclusion surrounded by people she does not know. Needless to say the staff had to sedate the creature--many times, and ended up transferring her to a psychiatric care unit for an especially long term. Unable to pull her records via a name or fingerprints Enya was eventually declared a ward of the state. The court was baffled and stumped on what to do. She did not understand or speak English—blatantly refusing to speak at all albeit scream in gibberish, and would not eat or drink.
Enya’s health deteriorated to the point where she was placed back in the main hospital and given fluids among other medications. With no answers and the inability to keep her for long the hospital decided to call the family who had found her. Something about Enya must have piqued his interest the night they found her and Mr. Andrews, the historian, thought he’d visit and try speaking with her. Mysteriously enough the violet eyed girl understood some Greek, and they began attempting to exchange words for a couple of hours. He did not tell them what she said but he decided to head to court that day and have the strange woman undergo the process of being given an identity. She was placed a few months after under the care of the Andrew’s family where she thrived.
From that day on she was met with nothing but patience and even watched the Andrew’s children grow from clumsy youngsters to responsible adults. One in particular she became extremely close with. Eldan was his name. He was sixteen when she was first introduced to the family and twenty three when she left in obligation. Eldan started college on his nineteenth birthday taking Enya’s fragile heart. The previous night she had mustered the courage to pour her foreign feelings out to him, and they spent a memorable evening together. Alas, those exact feelings were left unreciprocated as she was tossed aside by the same man who wanted nothing more to do with her. Enya discovered four years later that Mr. Andrews’ intentions were not entirely saintly either, and had been researching her all along for data and piecing together a presentation for a nation wide broadcasted lecture.
Enya left the household seven years after becoming decently acclimated; an event that nearly tore her apart from the inside out. She had no one and nothing and thoughts began to wither to dark places until she met Juliette, a Lamia, a year later--someone she was supposed to slay but did not. The woman arrived in the nick of time rescuing Enya from the harsh streets, and a Werewolf joined soon after. It has been six months since sharing a residence with these three Supernaturals. They came to a decision about welcoming a bigger family to share rent and offer sanctuary with. Juliette has placed the ad and the three await anxiously for new blood.
