Over by the forge Runa was currently working on a sword she was requested to make for another, hammering away at the red hot steel of the new blade before dousing it in cool water, her helmet hanging up to the side and her long hair messily tied back into a pony tail, with dark bags under her eyes showing that she had been working for longer than she should. She often liked to work like this on her weapons, preferring to just go at them without stopping or pausing, for she feels that if she took a break she would lose her spark or inspiration if she stopped for more than a few minutes. While putting the blade back into the oven to heat it up again Runa wiped her forehead with a rag and stepped outside while waiting, looking around she noticed that her dragon wasn't in site, she didn't panic though as he often liked to go out on his own when she was working, catching his own fish since the fish supplied in the village wasn't up to his standards. "Just as long as he doesn't case another uproar with another dragon, so many times as he gotten himself into trouble cause of his stubbornness" she spoke quietly to herself then sighed and shook her head, before returning to the forge and pulling the blade from the oven to hammer it into shape again, so that she can then take it over to the grind wheel. On the table not far from the grinder sat the hilt of the blade, a rather intricate and unique designed grip with a pommel waiting to be attached, Runa enjoyed making all of her designs unique so that she could recognise then outside of work.
Choice of weapon: Runa owns a bow of her own design, with arrows that had been coated in 'Poison darter' venom. Along with duel daggers, one of her own design much like her bow, and the other that has been passed down through her family to her.
Bio\personality: Runa is very much like her younger sister, inheriting their mothers looks and their fathers kind attitude, although she is always trying to put on a 'I don't care' or 'tough girl' act so that she isn’t seen as weak, Runa even tries to dress tough with her horned helmet and skulls at her belt. Yet she really is kind of a dork and shows this more often that she would like. However this can change if she is engrossed in her work at the forge or reading, not liking to be disturbed for trivial things, Runa will often get rather annoyed with people who try to distract her. Runa and her younger sister Sylvi were raised by their father who goes by the name off Ake (pronounced AH-keh) after the mother suffered a fatal boat accident; Runa was only 13 at the time and her sister even younger.
Their father he tried to fill in for the loss of their mother and teach both his daughters everything he knew, from cooking (Although he isn't the best cook, neither is she for the matter) and other everyday life tasks to fighting to surviving the wild, and over time Runa found that she preferred the more stealthy approach to fighting, rather than running in heads first, screaming with an axe brandished overhead. Runa has an uncanny ability to get lost in the most simple of places as discovered when she was still young, many times has Runa found that she had wandered and found herself on the edge of Berk rather than in her home, or found herself at the docks rather than at the great hall, and the amount of times she has lead a fishing or hunting party astray in her short life. Because of this she quickly earned a reputation and is not trusted to lead, or run any errands that require her delivering things for people or picking something up for someone.
It was during this time that Runa found Calder, she was always jealous of her sister for having her own dragon, and Runa just couldn’t find a dragon that connected with her the way that her sister and the Speed Stinger did. To cope with the loss of her mother Runa decided to go out alone on the sea one day to spend time away from Berk, but as fate would have it she soon found herself hopelessly lost, and with no way back to Berk and night approaching she had no other choice but to head to a small nearby island to set up camp for the night. It was on this island that dragon trappers had caught themselves a silver Phantom, being a rare species it was highly sort after by hunters and trappers, Runa felt sorry for the dragon and decided to free it. With the help of the dragon and their new found trust for each other, it was with Calder’s help that Runa made it home the next day, riding on top of her very own dragon friend.
Other: Runa doesn't have the best sense of direction, quickly earning herself a reputation and making her the last of anyone's choice to lead a hunting or exploration party, and she is kind of forgetful as well. However she is excellent at forging and repairing weapons and rather resourceful, making up for this, and making her a valued member to have in a group, as long as she isn't expected to lead…or cook.
Appearance:
Runa stand at 5.6ft tall
~Dragon~
Name: Calder
Age: 22
Species: Silver Phantom
Bio/personality: Calder is a rather rare breed of dragon, not because they are few in number but because Silver phantoms are very obscure dragons and can fly so high above, that they cannot be seen by the normal eyes of a human, the color of their body blending into the clouds much like a Nightfury in the night sky. Calder knows this and takes great pride in his existence, causing him to be a rather selfish and cold dragon, thinking himself an aristocrat compared to the other dragons who are ‘commoners’ even though he isn't yet a fully grown dragon himself. Calder often doesn't get involved with the others and prefers to sit alone doing his own thing, unwilling to consider other dragons up to his standards of socialisation but it does happen. With humans Calder will tolerate them walking up to him, one may only touch him if it is necessary but no human may ever ride him or tell him what to do with Runa as that one exception, however at the same time his loyalty to Runa might be the only exception to which another human may ride on his back, Not even her father or sister may ride him, yet they are the only human other human’s that he will willingly accept close to him. The one dragon that he particularly likes to play his cruel games on is he speed Stinger, belonging to Runa’s younger sister, despite knowing about the species poison stinger he always finds a way to pick on the little dragon, especially about his size
On the other hand Calder even though he is stubborn and selfish is often not to aggressive, he may snarl and growl but will not hurt another living thing, not unless he was push or threatened, knowing that the people and dragon in the village are important to his rider, and possibly because of the fact the he was saved by someone who came from the village he now lives in. Calder has also taken on a bit of his Riders personality, just that little part about getting lost in the silliest ways, even though he can fly. Flying as high as the clouds is the only way he can actually find his way back to Berk when he has gone out alone, so Calder never travels far when flying around on his own.
While the group recovered from their unknown enemy and returned focus to their main purpose of being there, a young black haired girl, the very same one who was watching the town from the cliffside, had found her way into town. Currently hiding behind a nearby building though not very well, she could clearly be seen peeking out around the corner, spying on the group with unknown intentions.
"Right there they...uh how should I go about this now?" She scratched her head "I never thought I would get this far. wasn't planning on skirmish here coming to a halt...hmmm" The girl ducked back behind the building, crossing an arm over her opposite chest and resting her fingers against her lips, brow furrowing as he tried to think of what she should to do next. No matter how hard she thought though she just couldn't find a solution to her problem "I guess...I could just go up to them like a normal person?" The girl spoke out loud to herself, head tilting as she managed to confuse herself a little.
