Mid/High Casual - Divinus: The Deity Roleplay Mk.II

Sorry if I haven't been doing much guys, my family situation has taken a turn for a bit of the worst, my dad is in the hospice right now, so I'm just trying to piece my life together.

But I'll try to stay positive, just prioritizing things like finding inspiration to draw again/sorting my dad's things/taking care of his bird, lots of crazy shit. Whoever wants to collab me can message me again, and I'll get around to it.

I feel like modern day fantasy in this case is something that'd require far too much thought and worldbuilding to be a somewhat believable continuation of this timeline.

I actually do a lot of worldbuilding, mostly because I have trouble not thinking about the various RPs I'm in.

So, I feel like with a little effort it could be done.

Agreed. Modern Fantasy has never interested me, because there's no need to have a car engine when you can cast a spell to do the same thing. But there might be a need for personal computers. Or spaceships (magically powered, of course).

I'm thinking it would basically be a mix of magic and technology working in unison.

Admittedly, though, demons with guns does sound badass.

I feel like we could skip the industrial revolution altogether, with the discovery of space and all the varying applications of space colonization magic simply cant sustain. However, technological advances such as computers feel unnecessary as well - but we'll see how people handle it.

Even so, I do think guns have some merit with magic, thanks to the fact that there are still normies that need to use basic weapons like swords and bows as is.

I do prefer the fantasy aspect, and as a plus, if we do reach the modern era I want it to be grossly different from what we have in reality. And I don't mean just slapping some demons in a urban setting with guns.

Besides, human technological advancement has stemmed from a need for convenience and comfort - with magic, why would a human build half the things we utilize to this day? Having a fantastic power is a much better help than an engine block.
